Here is my intro: My name is Nikki I am 28 years old and I have been married for 3 years. I have a daughter(2..will be 3 in July) and a son(11 months old). I have been on BCB since '06 and part of this thread since late '06. I have been obese/overweight since my junior year of high school, which was about 12 years ago. My last known weight then was 170lbs. My highest weight was 232lbs and that was when I got preggy with DD. I gained 20lbs with her and lost that 20 in a week after her birth. I knew I wanted to be around for her, so I made the decision to lose weight. I bought my WW books off of ebay and went from there. Shortly after, I found this site and lost 70lbs in little less than a year. I got down to 161.8 in September 2006 and found out I was preggy with DS. Gained 60lbs with him(mostly belly this time..YAY!!) and now I am back at it again. I am down 54 of the 60 I gained and I WILL make my goal of 147lbs this year and my pgw of 140!
Being a part of this thread has kept me going all this time. Some days when I thought I just couldn't make it anymore, these ladies would get me back where i needed to be. I am thankful to all of you for all that you do and have done! I know I couldn't have done this without you!!! Love you much!!!!:buddysmoo:buddysmoo:buddysmoo:buddysmoo

My name is Abbie and I am currently living in Atlanta, Ga with my husband of 2 years, my 14 yr old son, and part-time with my 15 yr old twin stepsons. (We also have a dog and a cat) All males- even the pets!
I am 38 and have pretty much struggled with my weight my whole life. As a teen I was very active- dance, cheerleading, tennis, ect...yet I still never seemed to get down to my "perfect" weight. I guess my addiction to chocolate didn't help!
I decided right after New Years this year (2008) to finally take controll of my weight and joined weight watchers. I am having wonderfull success with this program and am currently down 34lbs and close to goal! Life is so fun right now because I am LOVING shopping and am so excited about my new smaller sizes, sometimes I can't even believe it's really the right size.
Anyway, this is the best thing I have every done for myself. I credit a lot of my success in weight watchers to this board and this group of woman. They are so inspiring and help keep me on track!!

I'm Sheila and I live in the metro Atlanta area. I have been overweight/obese for the past 15 years. My weight recently reached an all time high of 224.8 and it was a wake up call for me to get control and get back OP. The extra weight is also causing health issues so now I am more determined to stick to the plan and reach my goal weight of 155.
Being a member of this BCB group is what has helped me to not give up but to keep on fighting even when I don't feel like it. I feel so confident that I will make my goal this time.

My name is Melissa, i'm 34 years old and live in MAssachusetts. I am a single mother of a very active and energetic 12 year old DS. He plays soccer, baseball, basketball and just started BMX racing so I'm pretty busy being his personal chauffer. I am a Special Education teacher in a Elementary school, Social Emotional Behavioral Support classroom and I'm in Grad School getting my Masters in Special Education (only 4 more classes to go)! This is my 3rd time doing WW (Third times a charm). This time I joined 12/29/07 with my mom and i've lost a total of 42.4lbs and only have 40lbs to go to get to my WW goal. I was always very active and fit as a child and teenager. I was 22 year old and 165lbs when I had my son and slowly the weight crept on from there. Next thing I noticed, I was almost 250lbs. YIKES!! I lost 25lbs my first time on WW, then the 2nd time I lost 30lbs, This time i'm going to lose it all and keep it off! When i'm not working or carting my son around I enjoy going to and doing musical theater. I do choreography for a theater camp in the summer and I sing back up for an Elvis Impersonator for fun and extra money. I love the outdoors, the ocean, hiking and being with friends and family. If it wasn't for BCB I wouldn't have been successful all three times on WW. It keeps me motivated, accountable and my buddies know exactly what i'm going through. THANKS GUYS!! XOXO

I'm Christen. I'm 25 and live near Dayton, OH. Last October I married my long time love of 7 years. We have 1 cat and 1 boxer dog who are a huge part of our lives right now. I joined WW online Feb 18, 2008 after having to finally move up a size in jeans, the seems were litterally busting on my old ones and SO uncomfortable. I started going to meetings in March b/c I was getting discouraged w/ my rate of loss and needed some reassurance that I was doing OK. I want to adapt a healthy lifestyle and get to a healthy weight before we have kids so that they can grow up w/ a healthy, active mom and hopefully won't struggle w/ their weight the way I always have. I was heavy in HS, lost a lot of weight when I went to college (it just fell off, I didn't even try) and then gradually gained it back 5lbs at a time.
I've lost nearly 13lbs so far, it's coming off slow but it will stay off. I'm not sure what my ultimate weight goal is. I had set my PGW at 130, but I'm working out a lot so I'm not as concerned about the # on the scale as I was when I started. I'll know where I wanna be when I get there :bcb_up

 I'm Cammie, a 37 yr old Accountant from Bemidji, MN. I am lucky to have the DH I do and am blessed with:
one DS (14...very athletic...rght now is "in" to skateboarding and snowboarding. He gives me many gray hairs.)
and two DD's (one 12..just hitting the emotional rollercoaster of teenagerhood but, mostly a delightfully thoughtful and considerate girl and one 3.. a busy, talkative girl and the gel of our blended family.)(The older two are from my previous marriage.)
My weight troubles came from pregnancies and I seem to have a real problem losing it. I have been losing the same 20 or so lbs the last few years since I came to BCB but am determined to make goal this year. I'm really stepping up my exercise and feel much better about myself and my ability to actually do it this time!
I too, am thankful for this group. I know I would have thrown the towel in long ago if it hadn't been for them and the support I feel here!

Hi Everybuddy...I'm Judy.:salut I'm 69, married 49 years, raised three sons and have five grandones. We are in the grain elevator business and live in a tiny town in Illinois. Most of my family work with us too.
I guess I've been fighting weight most of my life. To be honest I've joined and rejoined WW many many times!!!:bcb_yuck: As I get older the weight becomes more of a problem....painful back, knees and feet plus it is soooooo much harder to lose every year that goes by. I'm not about to give up and wallow in it so this group and the entire board is helping to motivate me. I don't expect to be a hot gramma...well I am 69...but I want to feel good and be healthier...well maybe more than luke warm?
I also am an avid quilter (hence the nickname) and work a lot in my church. My grandones are soooo special and I love to do for and be with them.:bcb_happy

OK, I was little intimidated by the youthfulness expressed in this thread, but Judy and Barb are making it easier for me! :bcb_grin I'm 53 with a great DH and 3 kids: DD graduating college this week, DS in college, DS in HS. We have two little black dachshunds who worship me :bcb_LOL:. I am an infection control nurse for 25 years, before that worked in MICU and general medicine. We are moving at the end of the month from a house we have lived in for 19 years. DD is moving to NY in late summer, but is having a meltdown that we are selling her childhood home! Oh, well, change happens!
This group has really inspired me. For the first time in forever, I managed to lose 13 pounds, then gained a couple back with all the craziness of putting house on the market and moving and graduation...Still, I'm in and working at it. 10 down, 40 to go.

Hi everyone .... my name is Kim from Ohio and I am 45 years old. I joined WW At Work Program on February 13, 2008 and have been losing very slowly, but losing. I work full time as an Admin Assistant and have a wonderful husband. We've been married 26 years. We have a great family but are in the time of our life where we provide support for our aging parents (see more about this below).
I love these boards and the support provided. You guys are great!
Just want to add, thanks to Destiny's Mom who sent me a private message of support - I tried to respond but don't know if you received it. Thanks very much for checking on me. I'll try to do a better job of checking in daily.
I am behind in meeting my May goals I set for myself but trying to catch up so to speak .... life has gotten in the way over the last couple of weeks with a lot of sickness in my family. That's why I have been absent the last couple weeks. I deal with aging parent issues and also a husband who has a lot of medical problems as well. Sometimes things go fine for awhile then bammmmm, everyone gets sick at once and I find myself going from work to hospital, back and forth, to parent houses, etc etc, and my plan goes by the wayside for a few days. If any of you have ideas for sticking to your plan when life stress really kicks in, let me know. This is one of my biggest downfalls and if I could get better at being consistent whether things are going good or bad, I would do such a better job at this weight loss battle!

Hi! My name is Melissa. I have been called Missylissa, MessyLissa (I was a tomboy), Missy, and Miss; but my name is Melissa. I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am the proud mother of 2 DD (18 and 16):
©My 18 YO DD is going to dental school right now. She has O.C.D. regarding her teeth now that she has been working with a dentist. I tease her about her obsession with her teeth. She was my Math geek.
©My 16 YO DD is an aspiring writer. At first she had a hard time with home school because the books tend to be accelerated and she was having a rough time. She started reading the Classics and discovered Historical Fiction about 5 years ago and has since bloomed in every area of school. It’s her dream to write HF books for children, encouraging a love for history in kids.
©1 DS (13) This little guy is a blast! He loves his mom and is usually willing to do just about anything for me. I am praying that it doesn’t stop the deeper that he gets into his teens. He is my Science geek.
I have home schooled them for the past 8 years, taking a year off to work at a local elementary school as a long-term sub in the classroom and teaching Behavior. I am very active in my church, I am a born again Christian.
I have been married to my wonderful DH for 23 years. I marvel at the fact that we still like each other and we are still best friends. I am relatively new to WW, I haven't been to a meeting yet, but I intend to go once we get our bills all caught up. My DH is working 2 jobs so that we can do this. I would like to work, but he sees the need for me to be here, Algebra isn't something that our kids can learn by themselves.
I am looking forward to getting to know some of you and others, I already know and like very much- you know who you are!
As a youth, I was painfully skinny. I couldn’t put weight on for nothing and having children, changed that for me in a BIG way. I stopped weighing myself when the scale hit 205. I have no idea how much I weighed at my HW, but currently I am at 155. This time around I have gone from a TIGHT 16, which is why I decided to try WW; to a 9-10. Weight wise it’s not as impressive, but 15 lbs is still pretty good for me. I am a very slow loser.
For those of you who are newbies, keep posting on these thread and you will find encouragement and those BCB kicks that we all need every once in a while.
Blessings,
Melissa:bcb_up

Heaviest weight 189 (after children)
Current weight 153 pounds
Weight Watchers Story....My WW story is this...I started attending meetings in October 2002 til we moved. When I started WW in 2002, I weighed 189 pounds!! On my last weigh in card, my weight was 144 pounds...I lost a total of 45 pounds...WOW!!! So then, I got out some old picture albums and was truly shocked how big I was at the beginning of WW. These picture albums are the ones that stay on the top shelves in the back of the closet. After reading my old weigh in cards, I know that I can get this weight off that has been creeping back on over the years....seeing the weigh in cards and the pictures was a reality check for me.....I remember working so hard to get the weight off. I was so faithful to the program. I DO NOT WANT TO GAIN BACK THAT WEIGHT! I have been doing WW without attending the meetings...so far it has been working.
I started back April 10th, 2008, with little steps.
