I know lots of us have issues with getting all of our healthy 8's in. Some can get them all in at one time with no problem. Others(like me) need to focus on one at a time and get that mastered!

So, I figured weekly, we could work on one healthy 8 at a time until we have mastered them all. We may have to focus on a particular one 2 or 3 weeks in a row until EVERYONE has accomplished it, but that is okay. You an still concentrate on other healthy 8's but this is what we are focusing on as a team! We can do this as a team so that we are all successful and can make this into a permanent lifestyle!!!

Let's start this week with water. Let's get in 8-8oz servings of water. If you drink a 16.9oz bottle of water like I do, yu will knock out 2 of those servings really quickly. A 20 oz bottle of water will do the same and then some.

I hope everyone thinks this is a great idea and I hope that it will help us make ourselves better and reach all of our goals!

My problem will be on my high day which is usually Friday. I never get in all of my water on that day. This week in itself will be a challenge because this is DD's recital week with lots of practices and then company on Friday,Saturday and Sunday!

Nikki- awesome idea! For the past week or so I have had major issues with my healthy 8's. Unfortunately I think the scales will show it too this week....but I am up for refocusing and getting to goal now. So I am with you on the healthy 8's!

Great idea Nikki. Somebody once told me to focus more on my healthy 8's (I won't mention any names...ahem....Abbie) and then just went off the healthy 8 wagon herself! LOL But I've been trying my best to continue with them and I feel I've been doing better more days than not. I'm with you on tracking those healthy 8's. :bcb_up

Great job ladies on getting in that water. I figured most of us usually get our water in most days. Next week, we will continue with water and add on a harder one that we may have to do for two or so weeks. I am thinking it should be water and multivitamin. We can do that and make sure everyone is working on getting both of those things done!!! How does that sound? You should still continue on with your other Healthy 8's though if you are already doing so!

Hey ladies, keep up the great work!
I have filled 5 of my 6 servings of water so far... I will aim for 7 tonight since I will really be moving around a lot! And water keeps me awake at night in a very healthy way!
I am making a great spinach salad with carrots tonight and have already filled my dairy (2 yogurts and a WW icecream) Good luck everyone! It is spring which means healthy options just help us enjoy the beautiful and sometimes rainy weather!!! Keep it up!

Is anyone having trouble getting your waters in so far this week? If so, we will be pushing you and challenging you to make sure you can get those waters down!!

I should know this, but what exactly is the rule on water? I know it is 5 servings a day, but how many ounces are those 5 supposed to be?

So far I have 40 oz in and should have no problem getting in another 20-30 today.

I am not sure what WW says, but I think its something like 6 servings which equals to 8oz each serving. I just aim for 64oz a day which is 8-8oz servings! So I guess we could say 48oz at least for water so you are 8oz away! I am sure you will get that in before bed!

Thanks!

I am up to 60 right now with at least one more glass (about 12 oz) tonight so I am good! Okay so I am going to shoot for a minimum of 50 oz but trying to do a bit more each day.

6- 8oz glasses of water = 48oz is the minimum. I usually aim for about 8 - 8oz glasses a day = 64oz.

Ooops I must have missed this if it was previously posted somewhere. I've been really focusing on gettin in ALL of my healthy 8's. Water and multi-vitamin (children's vitamin actually) I do every day no problems! My problems lie in f/v, milk and oil. Those are the ones I really need to concentrate on! :bcb_up

Melissa & Nikki- thanks for the replies on the water, I am doing much better this week. I don't know why I slacked off last week on it because I have never had a problem with it before!

Yeah, I use some non-WW calculator that said I should get 100-120oz a day so that's why I shoot so high. For the rest of the week I'm really trying to cut out all my diet coke and drink tea instead b/c that's a huge challenge for me. I got it down to 1 a day for a while but I've crept back up to two 20oz bottles a day so now I'm just not letting myself have it b/c I suspect it's slowing my losses. I'll give myself one or two on the weekends as a treat, but I'm going to start treating it like anything else I know I really don't need.

Does anyone else not like milk? I really can't drink it alone w/o getting nauseous...any alternatives people use?

Liz- There was an interesting milkshake recipe floating around. I can't remember exactly where probably under the dessert section of the recipes on the main page. Anyway, I tried a modified version of it and liked it.

Also, if you are a coffee drinker....I LOVE the iced lattes at starbucks. I order a tall iced skinny french vanilla latte for 1 pt. Usually I have two a day so that takes care of milks for me.

Also, skinny cow cheese, one triangle is a serving and is only 1 pt!

Liz- I just went and looked up the milkshake recipe, it is under blender innovations and the thread is huge shake.
