Biggest Loser 5: Couples - starts 1/1/08

The Biggest Loser's season five premieres tomorrow at 8 PM est for a 2-hour introduction to the new team of couples. Jillian and Bob will be training but unsure as to how the couples will be split. With the Writer's Strike, it will probably be a full season.

Thanks for the reminder. I had been looking forward to this but with the holiday craziness it had slipped my mind. I think it will be interesting with the couples. I have challenged my DH to a biggest loser competition of our own.

Okay, I didn't wait, I watched it all tonight and it was great. Some of the stuff really hit home. I love the mom on the pink team - she is sometimes obnoxious, loud, opinionated and just like my mom. She rocks and I hope she wins!

I find that show so motivating and I hope to continue watching it. It should be interesting. I am not sure who I am rooting for yet. I guess I want them all to succeed but you got to root for someone. And I think Bob is dreamy. :-)

I go back to WW on Thursday to weigh in. I know that I have probably gained back some of the weight I lost. I tried being careful over the two weeks I had off but I didn't try hard enough. I know that I am an emotional eater and this year the holidays were not very good for me emotionally. However, I am putting that aside and I am facing the music this Thursday

I like Betty Sue also. At this point, she and her daughter are my faves. The brother team looks like it will be a good one, but since we had the brothers win last BL I'm hoping that these brothers don't. All that said, however, I have a feeling that the ex-football teammates will probably end up taking this one.

I was pretty surprised with the white team wife's hefty loss. Even with it being the first week and most of the loss being water weight, she's relatively small to begin with so I expected her loss to be more on par with voted off Jenni.

I like that Bob and Jillian are going to join together in the training. I think they each have their unique qualities and everyone will benefit by learning from both of them.

I do not like that BL is turning into a big old ad campaign for their sponsors!!
