Has anyone else seen this movie? DH and I went last week (I couldn't wait any longer) and I absolutely loved it. DH liked it too, but obviously not as much as I did.

I walked out saying I want to see it again. Of course, it probably helps that I am the age I am, and my mother took me to see all those old Disney movies when I was little. So, it brought back memories of my mother as well. Of course Patrick Dempsey is good, and nice to look at :bcb_wink3 , and Amy Adams is absolutely wonderful as Giselle.

It is a visual delight, and I totally got lost in the movie. At the end, emotion just welled up and me and I burst out crying. I tend to do that sometimes (Little Miss Sunshine did it to me), but I hope anyone else who sees it enjoys it as well.

51 views, and no one else has seen this movie, or liked or disliked it?

If no one has seen it, what other movies have you seen recently that you've enjoyed, or not?

I'm anxiously waiting for Sweeney Todd. Mostly because of Johnny Depp. He's wonderful in everything.

Thanks for the info! When I get back from Mexico I'm going to try and take my soon-to-be granddaughter (she's 8)!

My two dds (19 and 17) went to see "Enchanted" over the weekend. They both really enjoyed it. Older dd even admitted it was much better than she thought it would be. They're both waiting for "Sweeney Todd" to come out now. :bcb_bigsm Older dd is a huge Tim Burton, and Johnny Depp, fan.

I loved enchanted, and my 4 year old daughter has never been so captivated at a movie. As soon as the credits started rolling, she jumped up and said, "That was GREAT!" For both of us to like a movie so much is a rare thing. Heck, my husband even enjoyed it.

I'm looking forward to Sweeny Todd, too.

The Golden Compass was very good. The books will always be better, but that's always the case. They ended the first movie a chapter early, but I can understand why. It's a cliff-hanger either way, but the movie-going public wouldn't like where the first book leaves off. Can't have people leaving the theater depressed and expect them to come back for the second and third movies. ;-)

We're planning to take my daughter on Saturday - it will be her first movie-theatre movie. I can't wait! I also can't wait for Sweeney Todd, which is my number one favourite musical of all time. :bcb_happy

I wanna see sweeney todd too! I heard from friends that its pretty scary- is it? I mostly just don't like gore, scary is ok.

I'm suprised to hear that enchanted was so good... I kinda cringed when I saw the previews... now I might have to see it.

The one movie I KNOW I won't be seeing is Alvin and the Chipmunks. That looks terrible!

lolap, I'm with you on Alvin and the Chipmunks. I could hardly stand to sit through the preview at the theater.

I can't wait to see Sweeney Todd either. I wasn't even familiar with the storyline until seeing the previews for the movie. Johnny Depp is fantastic in everything. I'd love to go next week, but with so many people off during the holiday week, I think we'll wait for the week after.

I loved "Enchanted"! I took my 9yo nephew and 7yo niece to it over break and we all had a great time. When I looked at my watch when we left, I couldn't believe how long it actually was because the time just flew by.

So, did anyone see "Sweeney Todd"? We decided not to. The mom of a friend of older dd's went and said it was extremely gory and she wanted the two hours of her life spent watching the movie back. A friend of mine who saw it said that both Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter were wonderful, but she didn't see much of the movie as she kept putting her hands in front of her face. We went to see "The Great Debaters" instead. Very good.

(I'm going to start another post on this as well, :bcb_grin).

Re: "Enchanted" -- I took my daughters to see it ... twice. Yeah, they liked it!

Now it's more or less out of the theaters in our areas and we're in severe "Enchanted" withdrawal. They want to buy the DVD, which would be great, if only it were out :bcb_smile.

I am in love with this movie! I'm counting the days till it comes out on DVD! My friend and I will be at Wal-Mart to pick it up 8am on March 18th!

I'm counting the days too. My birthday is in the beginning of March, and that's all I can think of that I want when someone asks.

Since it isn't out until the 18th, I guess I'll have to buy it for myself. I'm buying two, one for me, and one for my DIL's birthday which is the beginning of April. Until then, I've been watching videos posted on You Tube to tide me over.

I don't know when I've loved a movie more.

I bought it the first day also. I played it for my SIL and brother last night, but I don't think SIL liked it quite as much as I did. When you see it in the theater you get more enveloped in the magic.

Sandy, I loved it for all the reasons you did. The cast was wonderful, the music was wonderful, and it was a true Disney happily ever after fairy tale come to life.

I saw Sweeney Todd on stage years and years ago with Angela Lansbury and absolutely hated everything about it - couldn't wait for it to end and it went on and on and on. Yuck!!

I just watched this over the weekend with my niece and nephews. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I'd be...but then again, I was constantly up and down to get this or that for the three rugrats so maybe I need to watch it when I can actually watch it :bcb_grin
