Is there a way to calculate NI according to serving size rather than # of servings?

For example, if I make a pot of soup, I'd like to know how many points 1 cup is. If I know it has 4 servings, then I have to measure all the soup to figure out how much 1/4 is!

You would have to know how many cups of soup you made. Then multiply the NI (if you have it) or Points by 4, divide by the number of cups, and figure the Points.

Or since you ARE asking about MasterCook, you can feed it the number of cups as the number of servings, and MasterCook will do the math.

For example if it's 4 servings at 6 Points per serving, and you get 6 cups, then it's 24 Points total, or 4 Points per cup.

If you have the calories/fat/fiber, you can do the math with those and then figure the Points.

Hope this helps!

I'm just tired of having to measure out the whole pot of soup to know how much 1/4 or 1/6 or 1/8 or whatever of the pot is. Especially with new recipes, I just don't know how much it makes, but it says that it serves 4.

I was hoping MC could make it easier on me!
