I basically only watch things on Tivo, so I miss most commercials. That usually doesn't bother me, but I just realized that I have no clue what new shows might be interesting this season! So I enlist the help of my buddies here: what new show are you excited about?

The only one I'm watching for is Pushing Up Daisies. My friend saw the premier at ComicCon a few weeks ago and said it was very good.

I'm looking forward to "Chuck" - I always liked Zachery Levy when he was on "Less Than Perfect". It sounds like a funny premise.

I'll definitely check out Bionic Woman because I enjoyed the original. The premise for Journeyman looks intriguing so I'll watch the premiere, but it may end up giving me a headache - as time travel type shows tend to do.

I can't wait for Desperate Housewives and Medium to start!!

NBC - Chuck, Heroes & Scrubs

CBS - How I Met Your Mother, Ghost Whisperer & Moonlight

NBC - Samantha Who, Pushing Daisies & Dirty, Sexy Money

I've seen the pilot for Journeyman and Life. They were alright. I may have to watch the second episodes and see if the get any better.

Anyone interested in Kid Nation? I forgot about that one....and Journeyman....and Sexy Money....looks like I'd better get the TiVo season passes programmed!

Did someone say time travel? (programming tivo for Journeyman even as I type!). Time travel is one of those things for me--no matter how bad it is, I have to see it.

I'll give Reaper a try, too.

I missed most of the premier of Kid Nation tonight. I'm horrified (shades of Lord of the Flies are unavoidable) but I still want to see it at least once.

Oh--and I forgot, I'll give Private Practice a shot, too. I like the Addison character from Grey's Anatomy a lot. Sheesh, I watch a lot of television.

I watched the new Kelsey Grammar show - I think it has promise. Parts of it were pretty funny.

I watched this one too. But I think there are a couple of other shows on at this time, so I'm not sure which one(s) will end up being watched/recorded.

The other new shows I'm planning to watch (at least once):
- Kid Nation (saw the first one, the jury is still out)
- Cane (LOVE Jimmy Smits)
- Pushing Daisies
- Women's Murder Club (it's based on some books I've read by James Patterson)

Much as I love Grey's Anatomy and the character of Addison, I don't think I'll be watching Private Practice. I watched the "pilot" and didn't care for the premise, or the other doctors. I might give it another try, but........

And the show I'm really looking forward to coming back is........drumroll.....
Friday Night Lights

Luanne, I love Jimmy Smits too - he's always been HOT. When is Cane on though?

My big show is (as I posted in another thread), The Office. I'm a total addict.....

Okay, I'm back. Cane premiers on Tuesday, Septmeber 25th at 10 p.m. (Eastern and Pacific) on CBS.

Yeah, I wasn't really impressed by the spinoff/pilot of Private Practice last season. But I like Grey's enough to give it a shot. Most pilots, in my experience, are pretty awful. I always give a show at least one more chance before I give up. I think Weeds is the only show where the pilot blew me away and was an incredible experience all on its own.

i want to try Hot Shots.....just because I was a big fan of THe Practice and it has Dylan McDermott on it....love him! Also want to try Cane. Last year I got into Six Degrees....and it must have got cancelled. Was very disappointed, I really liked it.

I am so into a show on bbc america called, "you are what you eat". It has a nutritionist that helps people with shock tactics and common sense and tough love to lose weight. its very motivating. In fact, its the only show that ive considered buying a tivo for..so that i dont regret leaving the house in the afternoon=)Catherine
