Next Food Network Star Finalist "Resigns"

On last night's show after the two remaining contestants were Jag and Rory, they had some information that Jag lied on his application, that he never graduated from culinary school, and that he never served in Afghanistan, so they let him "resign" and Amy was brought back to be the finalist.

I think the Food Netwrok was overy gracious in allowing Jag to "resign" - they should have "booted" him.

Doesn't anyone check before the shows are taped?

Eh, they should have booted him, I agree. I went to the site, and it gave a link to his myspace, and there are people on there that feel bad for him... Why??? He lied! I don't get it :confused: lol

It was pretty shocking to watch this last night! I was a little surprised that they weren't more upset with him, too. Weird.

I was surprised to see Amy booted off to begin with, I am glad she is back!

They didn't need to bring him back - they could have just booted him and made an announcement that he was disqualified. His "speech" was definitely scripted. It was embarrasing to watch. I'm glad he's out. I think he had a ginormous chip on his shoulder. He should have been let go after the Iron Chef episode. His adoration of Bobby Flay was kind of creepy and then crying in his bunk bed about how humiliated he was - GROW UP!!! His career is ruined.
