I am new to this program. I am trying to create a recipe for Chocolate Cake. It has three ingredients.
Devil's Food Cake Mix
Can of Pumpkin
1/4 cup egg beaters
When I put this information in, it comes up to 5 calories per serving, which would be wonderful but I know it's not right. Can someone please help?
Thanks,
Abby

If you click under the "nutrition" tab it will show you what ingredients that mastercook may be misreading. It lists them as "nutrition warning" or unknown items. When you see those, it's always good to go back in and see how you need to adjust what you've entered.
The problem with this recipe, is that the NI of your cake mixes can vary GREATLY ... so you should enter the particular NI for the cake mix you intend to use.
I always try to enter the "ounce" size of the cans I use too, since this can vary greatly
*Very* generically (and too generically for me, I wouldn't use this) ... i put in
1 box cake mix, 1 can pumpkin, 1/4 cup eggbeaters,
and it came up with this NI for 12 servings.
Per Serving (excluding unknown items): 132 Calories; 3g Fat (22.1% calories from fat); 2g Protein; 24g Carbohydrate; trace Dietary Fiber; 0mg Cholesterol; 205mg Sodium. Exchanges: 0 Grain(Starch); 0 Lean Meat; 1/2 Fat; 1 1/2 Other Carbohydrates.
Play around with it and see what you come up with!!
