View Full Version : HELP! I need motivation!

Hello to everyone! I will be starting WW (again!) next week and am looking for some good motivation. Everyone on this site has seemed to have stuck with the program for a while & I do as well until something else comes along (i.e. busy schedule, travel, etc.) I just need a good kick every once in a while to know that I can actually do this! I need to lose about 40 lbs. to get where I would like to be. If anyone else out there is in the same boat maybe we can help each other stay on course!

What does it take to keep you motivated? Or rather, I'm curious, when you start out good, what is it that takes you off track? I, too, am starting WW next week and am hoping I can find support on this webpage. I always start off good, then something gets me off track and it's all downhill from there. I really feel that weighing in has a lot to do with my success...having to "report in" once a week....maybe we could do that for each other..."report in" here once a week?

Welcome to BCB, Catherine. Accountability is what works for me. I post my WI's and my weekly exercises. I also ask my buddies to check in with me when I know I need the extra accountability. Find a buddy here, or a home board and check in with them regularly. It's easy to deceive ourselves, but not others! :)

Wow, I know its a bit of a cliche, but think about this as a lifestyle change. I get motivated when I remember I'm learning how to eat so that I can have a long and healthy life. Lillie
