Morning everyone!

Well it seems I'm in the home stretch here with the laws coming today after lunch. Whatever you do, please don't ask if I'm ready (I think we all know the answer to that one.)
I still have to finish embroydering (sp) smil's gift & Alex is still working on gmil's. The house on the other hand needs more then a little TLC that's for sure. On a good note Amazon emailed me & the gifts are on thier way! All I have to do tonight is pick up a cute airplane that dh could not find yesterday. I think I'll do that when we go to Mainz later. I'm taking Alex & smil to a Christmas market there. Christopher is staying at home with Papa & Opa, it's bonding time for them. Dh was actually suprised when I said he was staying home, it was a dear in the headlights look actually. Oh well, if he can't handle a 2 year old for a few hours then what's he going to do when I get out of the hospital?

OOOH super great news, Alex got his swimming badge! They came home last night & dh came in first (I knew something had to be up) & then Alex, lord love him, the kid tried to hide the excitement but it didn't work at all. I'm so proud of him! Dh picked up pizza last night for his celebration dinner (I had a salad with grilled turkey.) I also told him that if he see's something for a limit of 20€ tonight I'll get it for him, if not dh & I already know what we want to get him.
So now he can start in the other swim class with his friend Lukas (who was waiting on him.) That is such a relief to know that he got it. I was thinking that he was going to have to stay in the swim class while Lukas moved on (we set a deadline of sometime in January) so that's a relief off all of our minds. Now we just have to figure out how we're going to do the driving. The new class is on Mondays & Thursdays.

LD~Thanks a lot for your help! I just took some day meds. The list I got from the hospital was pretty short & I'd rather take nothing then risk anything, but then again I have to be healthy before the op.
Great job on the shopping! Our cats used to swap gifts too, nothing wrong with that & even now my sister's cat gives her neighbors dog a gift. Have fun at the party, talk about a bit of good fortune, a hostess on core!

Melody~Great job on the walk! I think your spot on with the food for the party. People have a tendancy to shy away from the 'healthier choices' so at least you will have something that you want, like & is good for you.
Dh got lucky on that one huh? Thomas still has yet to take apart Alex's tower & while I know how to do it I refuse to be blamed for anything that could go wrong, so dh can deal with it tonight!

Susie~Don't worry about being a post hog, there's nothing wrong with posting a lot here, that's what the thread is here for.
Oh & I'll admit I do take pictures of our turkey every year, then again it's the one of dh making the first slice (kind of a tradition here, he barely slices it, I snap a picture & then I do the rest.)
Question, since you live in Israel now do you celebrate US holidays as well? I'm used to being the only expat here so now I get to ask that. We still celebrate the 4th of July & Thanksgving, to name a couple.

Mary~Susie's right, you need to calm down. It's so easy letting the hoildays get to to us because it really is a stressful time. Report the WI, okay if you've gained then that just means you go to your meetings a little longer, does that hurt in the end? The more you let it get to you the harder it's going to be to get over that hill, trust me I know.
Also speaking as a fish fan, I think the menu sounds good, btw we're having fish for Christmas eve!

Okay I know I've missed others but I really have to get the place in order big time. I'm going to get my workout done first though, I'm not letting that go, too easy to do. So until later, hopefully!

Good Morning! :salut

I managed to stay op yesterday even with a trip to Cold Stone and to Pizza Hut. I didn't get to eat much else though! Also with Christmas shopping and running around I did not get my scheduled workout in yesterday. I did do my ab workout last night though.
We have a family party this morning, so I'm going to go shortly and get one of my workouts in this am. Then hopefully DH, Adam(my 8 year old) and I will get our Couch to 5K run in this afternoon. It's suppose to be tomorrow, but we are going up in the snow tomorrow.

Uggg house stuff, we are going to have to put a whole new septic system in for the house we are building, more money! *sigh*

Saying Merry Christmas early so I don't miss anyone who maybe gone for the next few days!

Good Morning Everyone...

I'm here to be accountable.... yesterday was almost as bad as the day before. What i really need to do is make it to a meeting soon and get back in gear. What with all the holidays and going away and such while i've been running around like a lunatic elf i haven't been staying for meetings lately.... sigh... And this morning i just could not get up and i missed my meeting. But, i'm determined that starting right now i'm going to be OP and have a good day today.

Now i have to get ready for a PTA fundraiser. We wrap gifts at Barnes and Noble and people give us tips. B & N is really nice, they give shifts of wrapping time to non profit groups and they supply the wrapping paper and tape. It is a service to their customers and the groups make money too. Last year the PTA made over $300, most of it on Christmas eve.

Vicki... good luck in the final stretch. I have every confidence in you getting everything done. WTG on leaving Christopher home... must have made your outing a whole lot simpler!!

Mary... I agree with everyone else... deep breaths and calm down. I'm so with you on the overeating and we need to stick together here. I'm POSITIVE that we have too many good habits ingrained already to go back to our old bad habits. Hang in there!!

Michelle... Great job at staying OP yesterday. Can i have a bit of your willpower??

Jennifer... Sorry to hear that you have to go to work today. Hard enough on a regular weekend but this weekend i don't think anyone wants to go. Hang in there, Christmas is only a day away!!

LD... sounds like you are doing great since coming back from your trip. Glad to hear that you got all your shopping done!

SusE... sorry you lost your post. Welcome to the club, seems we've all lost it at one time or another and always a nice long chatty one with personals. But, from the lost post area i can hear your words of wisdom. Today i promise to drink all my water and watch my portion size.

OK... where is Bushra, Shilily, Terry, Laura, NDLaura, Tasha, Amy, Debbie and all our other Sisters????

Hope everyone has a great OP day... i'll bbl to check in after i do PTA stuff and get the housekeeping done. :bcb_salut (i love this little drunk guy!!)

Good Evening! Family party went good today, I've stayed op and have not even dipped into my flex points. I worked out this am, an upper body sculpting routine, I went really heavy and I'm feeling it a little in my mid back. I did not get my Couch to 5K run in, to much last minute shopping, and then 2.5 hours of present wrapping. YIKES! I'm all finished now though so big sigh of relief.

We plan to take the kids up to play in the snow tomorrow, so I don't know yet how I'm going to fit my workout into my day?

Only one more sleep until Christmas eve!

Well its Xmas Eve morning and i'm up early....why? Cause i'm doing WI a day early from my normal schedule(mondays) and i'm reaaaaaaaaaaaally nervous! I dont really feel good about this WI, cause even though i stayed OP, last night the dinner party was just too much food before a WI. I usually have a light meal the night before WI. So needless to say i couldnt sleep! :bcb_worry Any skinny vibes that are available....please send this way!!! I'll be back to post personals later. Hope you all have a great day!!

LD......sending skinny vibes, or even better.......CALM vibes! Remember, this whole thing is a JOURNEY. if you know you've been making the right choices, but for example the food the night before wi was heavy, than DO NOT fret if the scale isn't saying what you want it to say. I'm hoping it does, but want you to react appropriately if it doesn't. :) hugs

Michelle...........way2go!!! :bcb_bravoand just a thought........maybe your workout could be playing in the snow too??? ever tried to run in the snow?

Melody..........hugs and kicks all at the same time..........GET IT TOGETHER GIRL!!!! You can do this--you DESERVE to do it for yourself. Keep it together over the holiday and remember, YOU DESERVE to be good to yourself! hugs.

Jennifer........so was work that bad? Sometimes we need to think of this journey as a job to.........even though we feel like we wake up some days kicking and screaming, we really hate it when we don't get paid! Hang in there!

Vicki..........congrats to alex on the swim badge. I'm sure it will be easier having him in the class with his friend. OH, and by the way, I can't believe Christopher is 2 already! I still think of him as younger.

AND TO THE REST OF YOU...............if you're not posting, please know that you are missed. If you're not OP, please know that we are here for you, ready for a hug and a kick, and even another hug. Enjoy your family and friends for the holiday and GET BACK HERE!!!

~~Wishing you all a memorable holiday!

Merry Christmas Eve Day!

LD- Sending you lots of ((((SKINNY)))) vibes for your weigh in.

Sus- Enjoy your family too!

Melody- :bcb_kick: Enough said!

Jennifer- Did you get your wrapping done. That is the job I enjoy the least and I'm always glad when I am finished with it.

Vicki- Congrats to Alex on his swim badge! Did you get the airplane?

Last night I worked out so I'm feeling a whole not better about my exercise routine. I still would like to get my Couch to 5K run in today, but I'm not going to stress about it, if I have the time this afternoon, then I will, if not, then I will just enjoy the time with family! :bcb_march

Good Morning Ladies...

Not sure if it is too late... but sending skinny vibes your way LD... hope WI goes well for you!!

Thanks for all the kicks... i know better and i should be working the program instead of feeding my face. Yesterday was a better day. I did my 2 hrs at B & N and then i did a bit more shopping in the store ( i love that place!!). Then i went over to the grocery store and got the last things we needed for tonite's family gathering. While over there i ran into this couple from my usual WW meeting. These two are a true inspiration. It is a second marriage for both of them and they are so much in love. Both on the older side of 60 i think and they are adorable together, even their names, Karl and Carla. Anyway, she has lost almost 125lbs and he has lost over 60lbs. I was truly ashamed to be in their presence in my current state of mind. I think something clicked in my head and it seemed to get back on straighter.

I managed to get most of the chores done around here. I still have a bit of work to do in the kitchen and i have to cut up veggies for the platter but i'll be home by noon and no one is coming till around 3pm so i have time. I am not going to stress and i'm not going to eat junk. That's my story and i'm sticking to it!!!

Michelle... glad to hear that you got your workout in yesterday. But, i agree with SusE... playing in the snow burns an awful lot of calories. Have fun playing with the kids, in fact, play like a kid!!

SusE... Glad that you are here... i really needed the peptalk. I honestly don't know what is happening in my head but i catagorically refuse to go backwards. I worked so hard this past year and this is NOT what i want. So, i'm not going to let those around me eating badly cause me to do what i know is just wrong. Just cause they refuse to eat like a normal healthy person doesn't make it the right thing to do.

OK.... i have to get moving so that i can do my time at B & N and then come back home. Not sure when i will be back cause the once the kids arrive they seem to overrun the computers (and they say our house is not fun??) But, i hope that everyone who is celebrating tonite will have a wonderful time and focus on family and friends and view the food as a fringe benefit and just nibble on it. A little goes a long way!!

Well i dont know how it happened...and i'm not gonna question it...but, i was down 3.8 pds at WI. Thank you for all the skinny vibes. It obviously worked well!!!

I tried calling my family in Italy...but the phonelines are so busy, i couldnt get through. Anyone else having this problem with oversea calls?

The Patriots football game is on and we already have people over here. So i should probably go shower LoL I was running late cause i was cleaning the house.

I just want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday and happy times with your family!! Hugs and Kisses!!

Merry Christmas
Work wasn't so bad but worked hard the last two days. I am off on xmas and going to some friends house which will be nice. I still haven't done my wrapping but tonight will be the latest i can do it. I was having a lot of dreams about my children and thier deaths and woke up really missing them. There where only four yrs and eight yr old when they went to heaven. I am not feeling so sad now which is good. I know this morning i was missing them and found myself eating donuts and other things. Hugs to all

Hello ladies,

I'm here...busy as ever but I have been pretty good. I have great intentions of coming to say hi but to be honest I have been so dang busy the last thing I want to do is sit at the computer.

It's Christmas eve...I'm waiting for my mom to bring over all the kids toys. We keep them stashed at her house. The kids are sleeping...AHHH. I'll miss the decorations and such but man...the stress.

I'll take pictures (with my new camera...an early gift from Jeff and the kids) and post them tomorrow. For now I'm off...I love you all....HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

Merry Christmas to all (I hope that you will except the spirit of that wish if you don't happen to share my christianity- 'cause I love you all!) I am going to be back. I'd like to say I've been here but things have been really crazy. Finally school is out and that helps. My dad is in ICU this Christmas after a triple bipass surgery. He is doing well and we're very thankful. His blockage was 98% and they said he wouldn't have survived a heart attack. So Christmas in ICU is better than no christmas at all. I wish I could be there, but I am happy to be with my family here. My DH is off for the day and so it's church at 9 then LOTS of family time. Lots of eating, too, I'm not even going to pretend, but that's ok, like I said I'll be back. And soon. I miss you all. I hope that my secret santa gift reached it's destination by now. It'll be silly to get it after Christmas. Thank you to my secret santa, for such a thoughtful and sistah-y gift! It so good to have you for friends and I am very thankful. It's 3:30 in the morning and I am going to be up early so I'd better head off to bed. I hope you all have a great day! Love ya! Shi

Merry Christmas! Last night was fabulous, and this morning the kids were up early to open gifts. Now everyone has spread out to enjoy their presents. DH is reading his drywalling book, Joey & Adam are playing Madden 07 on their new XBOX, and Daisy is logging her new pets into Webkinz World. Anyone elses children into Webkinz?

We will be going to my SIL's a little later for brunch, and then my parents for dinner later. I still have most of my Flex points, I used 9 last night, and I plan on getting my workout in, in a little bit to earn some activity points, so I should be fine.

Merry Christmas.... HO HO HO!!

I had all my company last nite and today we are going to a friends house today. I echo DH and MIL when i say that i was happy they were all here and i'm happy that they are gone. They started arriving about 3:00 and didn't all go till almost 9pm. And talk about food porn... i think my MIL was a Jewish Mother in a previous life. But, we gave away most of the sandwiches and coldcuts which were the worst things. Today we have to stop at SIL's and will drop off some more leftovers cause they have 3 kids who will definitely eat more of that stuff. I see a huge pot of soup with the leftovers from my veggie tray.

I was very good last nite. I did taste a couple of bites of cheese and i had a few chips in passing but for the most part i happily munched on veggies and fruit. Instead of a sandwich i had a few slices of roast beef and my tomato and cucumber salad. My main indulgence for the evening was a couple of glasses of wine. One SIL always brings a creamy jello salad to every event. This time we did not ask anyone to bring things and the table was loaded to the breaking point with food and she says .... you shoulda told me, i would have brought my jello salad. I admit, it is good but it is at every family gathering. I tried to be diplomatic when i said that we were looking for some low point side dishes as an alternative to overdoing the food this time.

Anyway.... Santa brought me an AB-Doer Xtreme. In the past year i have gotten very good at my walking program but it is not doing alot of good for my tummy. I have tried some of the abs workouts on tape but i'm having a problem laying on my back...it hurts and bothers me breathing. So, i whispered in Santa's ear that i really wanted this chair thing. I'm looking at it now and thinking about starting after my chat with you ladies.

I hope everyone has a wonderful OP day today and enjoys the holiday in whatever way they celebrate!!
