Hey all - I decided with the festivities to make this thread through the end of the year!
Annie - WAY TO GO ON THE LOSS!! :bcb_bravo Especially at this time of year!
Well Mena - I would like to quit but let me tell you something and tell me what you think. I don't "need" the money right now BUT my husband is HATING his job and wants desperately to change (I think I told you all that already). He has put in a bunch of resumes and is waiting to hear back (one from the school district that seemed promising about a language arts teacher for middle school) BUT in the meantime is keeps saying he wants to quit. IF he all of a sudden can't take it anymore and just up and quits - I will need the hospital job desperately! I don't want to burn my bridges just yet with them in fear of needing the money sometime soon. Does that make sense? As soon as he gets another job and decides he likes it I will say sionara to the hospital.

Rainy cold day here in GA--
I am actually glad it is cold-- we had 70 degree weather until a few days ago and it just did not seem like Christmas.
Hope everyone is doing well as possible through the next week!!

good morning
I am doing really well on eating, not over-eating and just tasting sweets. I have also stepped up the exercise this week, doing the treadmill everyday and taking a kick butt pilates class on Thursday night. I have to keep control on my weight over the next few days b/c I feel like it could get way out of control, you know?
Annie- congrats on the loss, that is AWESOME!!
Nicque- great idea on the thread til the 31st-bravo, bravo
It is cold and rainy here, very dark skies. It's nice for a change :bcb_smile I have to do some grocery shopping today, but tomorrow is our big holiday day. We have church in the am, then my dad's house for brunch, then church in the pm, then my in-laws after that. whew, I hope I'm still standing on Monday! My DH and I had our first date night last night in like a year! It was really nice, we got to talk like we haven't in a while and we went to see a movie. I let DH pick b/c he REALLY wanted to see "Rocky Balboa". I rolled my eyes the whole way to the theater but it was actually, REALLY good. Very quaint and poignant, as sports movies go. Not a waste of money at all! (what a pleasant surprise!)
Anyway, coffee is calling. I hope everyone has a lovely holiday. All of you are a true blessing to my WW journey! Merry Christmas!

Way to go Jule! Stay focused! We went to see Night at the Museum last night and it was really cute. Good for kids and adults (but I go see kids movies without having kids...I am a kid at heart!)
Not much is happening here - the weather is nice enough to have the door open while I am making persimmon jam and pumpkin butter for some of my family members for christmas. I feel like I need a nap but I shouldn't...strange... Anyway! If I don't get back on here before Christmas I want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas!:bcb_bigsm

How was everyone's Christmas? Mine was good - I got a yogurt maker from my mom (I really wanted one) so now I can make my own soy yogurt for little to no money (soy yogurt is super duper expensive in the store!). I also got $40 from my aunt and uncle so I am going to use that and join a gym. Not much else going on. Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Christmas is over, YAY! I just was NOT feeling it this year. Too much crap, not enough goodwill. I tend to get like this around the holidays because basically my extended family bites. But its alright. The kids had a ball and my hubbie and I decided to get a desk for me to add to our office room, which is cool. I will have an actual work space now and I just started doing work for our church so it's perfect. We also saw Night at the Museum and loved it-it was great for little ones and big ones (Ben Stiller is great as is Ricky Gervais, a personal favorite!)
Anyway, I haven't gained a bit yet. Just maintained and I will take that! I am at 144 and my goal weight is 130-134 so I guess the new year is going to be tackeling that last ten to fifteen pounds. I am so appreciative of finding this site and this group especially!
Nicque- the yogurt maker sounds cool! I've never heard of that before. I bet you WIll save a ton of money-soy yogurt costs a lot here too!
Happy New Year-what are everyone's plans?

Hi guys! Nothing really exciting going on here - I have been majorly busy lately (I've got to get rid of one of my jobs). On the up side I joined the gym. I have a nurse friend at the hospital who is going with me so that's cool. I am off for the next 3 days (today included) so I plan to get a lot of house cleaning/organizing done. I think Chris (DH) has off tomorrow and New Years as well. He has some prospects for a new job in the works - it looks promising for a teaching position at a middle school in town - Language Arts - he REALLy wants this. He also has a sheriff deputy position he is taking the physical and written test for on the 6th. He just wants out of retail in a bad bad way.
I don't think I have lost any weight either Jule but luckily have stayed the same! I don't have a ww meeting until the 8th because my meetings are on Mondays so one Monday was Christmas and the other is New Years. I hope to lose something this week though.
What's new with everyone else?

Oh have I missed this group of people! Things have been insane here - all work between work & holiday prep & little sleep.
I have another shift starting soon, but had to get on here to wish you all a wonderful 07!
Many blessings!

Hello all! I too have missed all of you and am looking forward to getting back to some sort of routine in the new year.
We are going to a neighbor's party on New Year's Eve. My in-laws offered to babysit since they didn't have any plans. It won't be crazy or anything but I really like these people and it will be great to be able to socialize without a child hanging on me (although they are cute even when hanging .... most of the time.)
That is what is going on here. I would like to really clear my mind and set up a new dedicated spirit for the new year. Not only with my weight and health goals but my attitude and mindset too. Is anyone else looking forward to something new and fresh in 2007? (maybe I should post this as a question of the day?)
Hope all is well with everyone....
