My brother, who is only 38, had a heart attack today!! We drove 2 hours to go see him. He is in ICU hooked to an EKG and has a nitroglycerin patch. He seem's to be doing ok.. but, they are keeping him in the ICU over night to monitor him. My parents stayed with him. It just scares me to death because he is so young!!! If you can, please keep him your prayers! Thank you!!

Thank you so much BCB buddies for the prayers...

UPDATE: He had an angioplasty done this morning. It appears that he must have had a heart attack some time ago.. and was unaware of it? I guess there is 3 big arteries down the front of the heart. The middle one is clear.. the left one is completely blocked.. but, somehow has repaired itself with extra little veins or capillaries (ms?) coming off of it. ( I think that is right) and the right one is 95% blocked.. so they put in a stint.. something didnt work right on it.. so the added another stint to that one. So far he seems to be doing ok.. He might be released sometime tomorrow. My poor mom.. she is so stressed by what is happening to her son, she is really sick now. If I may ask for continued prayers and to please add my mom. THANK YOU!

I hope the 2nd angioplasty works well for your brother.

This may be small comfort because everyone is different, but my DB had a heart attack several years ago when he was only 48. He was a heavy smoker and the right artery was 95% occluded. If I had not been there, he may not have made it at all.
An angioplasty was done with a stent insertion. He left the hospital a week later. Today, he still smokes although a lot less, eats well and exercises almost every day. We hope to have him around for a long time to come.

Prayers of recovery for your brother, you and your family.
