Well I have never started the thread before but here goes! Hope you all had a good weekend! Mine was pretty good. Got a sick DD again!!! Started running 102 fever on Sat. Took her to doc yesterday and they say it is a virus...not much we can do except keep motrin in her. I feel so badly for her but she acts perfectlyfine..she's acting like nothing is wrong! Good I guess. Well Monday means another start to a work week..yuck...but at least we'll get a holiday next Monday! AND HOPEFULLY...I WILL HAVE A NEW JOB!!!!!! FINGERS SO CROSSED!

Melissa-I am soooo sorry about WI...but I am sure your body is hanging on right now b/c of how much you have worked out...plus remember last week was -6...that is a huge huge number. Next week will be good...I know you have been working soooo hard..keep it up..it will all be worth it! I WI tomorrow night this week b/c I will be out of town and not sure that I will see a loss in 4 days or not...we'll see!

Adele-Look at you and your Kirby! LOL...too funny. No worries on WI today...sometimes we just gotta have that burger...just jump right back on track today!

Laura-Hope the cookie making is going well! NOT TOO MUCH TASTING!! :)

Misha-Good for you on 1 pc of pizza..wow...that is something I need to train myself to do..I guess it just becomes a habit.

Hope all the fems are doing well! Come see us this week!

Good Morning Girls!

Not too much going on here today. Back in BCB mode :bcb_drill. DS has physical therapy at 10 am today. After that I think I'll head out to Old Navy or something to find something to wear on Christmas Eve/Christmas day. The kids are all set...I just forgot myself. If I don't go today, I'll go tomorrow. (I actually enjoy shopping for clothes now!). So that's my agenda...nothing exciting. WI is tonight and the scale this morning is WAY up. All I can do is suck it up and move on. I think I'm going to cut my DPA from 26 to 25 or 24. I'll give it another week before I do.

Marcie- I hope DD gets better. My DD was the same...bouncing off the walls, but sick. It's hard. My DD couldn't understand why she couldn't go to school lol. I'm crossing my fingers that you get that job!! If they called back, I think that's a good sign!

:bcb_wink3 Have a great day everyone!! :bcb_mad:

Adele-You totally hit on a topic that is so sensitive with me right now...CLOTHES SHOPPING! Last year when I lost down to 194...I could not believe how great it felt to be able to wear what I wanted and shop normally..now I am back up to 221 and can't wear a thing and don't want to put on anything but sweats! ANOTHER MOTIVATION TO LOSE THE WEIGHT! I am a huge shopper so this has been really hard on me..I want to be able to go shopping again and not worry about it fitting. I hope you have fun shopping..enjoy it girl!! Sorry the scale is up...but I am sure a lot of it is sodium...the new plan gave me 28 pts..that scares me!! I may just stay at 26!! Hope you have a good day!

Marcie- I know the scale is up because I didn't stay OP when I went out to eat. I didn't have the extra 35 because I ate most of them on my "binge" day. I have nothing/no one to blame but myself :bcb_cry: . But, I'm here and I admit what I did and I'm ready to move on.

Everyone can give me kicks for it :bcb_wink3 ...I deserve it. :bcb_kick:

Good Morning Everyone!!

Well, I had a great, fun weekend, but boy was it hard in the eating department! And it continues today!!! I'm not sure about you, but why does everyone want to go out ot eat at this time of year?? It started for me this Friday afternoon with lunch at Pizzeria Uno (had a salad) and then downhill....the scale shows up .5, but I think the weekend drama hasn't set in yet...AND TOM should be visiting sometime in the near future, so I am afraid for WI on Wed....

Anyway, I am trying to get in more exercise...got up this morning and did my bike. I wanted to walk at lunch, but it is raining, so I won't be able to do that and we are going out to eat with the in-laws tonight for DH's b-day (he is 45 today...holy moley!!).

I am working all this week except for Thursday, so I don't have any excuses not to stay OP this week...obviously next weekend will be a struggle for all of us...but one day at a time....

One NSV...I bought some straight size 18 pants a few months ago (not 18W) and I put a pair on today and they fit beautifully!! So, I am hoping that the new lower size will keep me motivated. I took my inches today too and have lost 4 inches around my hips and 4 inches around my waist and 2 inches around my chest...YEAH ME!! (I first measured when I started in June)..

Laura: Glad DD is better. My DH is taking our DD back to the pedis today. She is still so stuffed up and coughing again. I hope she didn't pick up anything this weekend from her cousins....

Linda: Hope you are doing well! Glad to see your post!!

Melissa: Sorry about the maintain on Sat!! You are doing so well...keep it up!! I may look into joining a gym down the street from me this weekend. It will be my Christmas present to myself!!

Marcie: Glad you had a fun weekend!! Fingers crossed about the new job!!!

Adele: Good attitude about WI tonight...I am sending SKINNY VIBES!! You are working so hard and not letting setbacks take over...that is awesome even though the scale may not agree!!

Jinner: Glad you and DS are home safely!! Taco Bell?!?!? I actually think their food is awful...and now with all of the ecoli scares, I am staying far away...but good for you on branching out to new foods and maintaining your goal!!

Hope everyone has a great day!! I probably won't have time to check in again until tomorrow!!

Hugs,
Marianne

HAPPY DAY DEAR FRIENDS,

Well I was also very bad this week-end too. Oh boy lets face it I have been bad every day...but today I am putting down all that I eat and trying to get back on track. I really do not want to go back to where I
was. I just did not feel good. Our Lily had 2 more episodes of acting like she was poisoned. The vet said it thought it was that but I do not think so
because yesterday she had her third one and she was not near anything. I think it is some kind of chemical imbalance. This type of thing can happen when your calcium is low so i will get her blood tested. Anyway she is
so dear and if she has something I will love her until............

Marcie, Sorry to hear that your baby is still sick. When you posted before and said it was viral but that she had a fever did not make sense. Usually viral infections have no fever unless you have two things
going on. Glad to see it isn't.

Marianne, Isn't that something to lose all those inches. Good Job.
Before you know it you will be in smaller and smaller sizes. It is so hard to stay focused as food taste so darn good. When I was young
through my teens, twenties and thirties I was always thin and now I realize it was because I could care less about food. I just love to eat
and snack at night. It gives me a good feeling and I have not found any-thing to replace it since I quit smoking almost 5 yrs ago. Happy Birthday to your husband. 45 isn't so bad...men age so much better than we do.

Melissa, Sorry the scale did not show your efforts but you are building

Adele, I love getting things for the house. When my dh use to ask me what I would like I always opted for household items. I still got the
diamonds but I could less about jewerly. Give me a blower or vaccum
anyday.

Beanie..good luck on your weigh in.

Jinner, Glad that you and son are back safely. Hope that you had a good time in spite of some misunderstandings.

Katie, We miss you. HOpe that you are getting over the hump and will be back with us soon.

If I missed anyone I am sorry ...I am trying to do this by memory.

Hugs

Linda:salut
muscle and that weighs more than fat. Right??? Wish I had some muscle. I can not believe how you girls do so much exercise. I am still
not there yet with that. You sound like you are having fun and how was
NYC? I just love to go there. We have been on 2 mother/daughter trips so far. We stayed at the MUSE. It is a real swanky place. My
daughter paid for me for Mothers Day. It was like being a movie star.

Well ladies,

I used all my WAP's this weekend. :bcb_mad2 But it was a GREAT day yesterday in NYC. The weather was beautiful, we didn't even have to wear coats. I got my Knock off Prada purse. hee hee hee. We had a great day but didn't do the best with eating. I wrote it all down and will update my accountability thread later tonight. But I had a MUCH better day today.

Well school is almost out. TTYL

Melissa-Hey girl...glad you had fun in NYC...I WANT A PRADA PURSE!! :) Cool! I know you are so glad school is almost out!

Marianne-CONGRATS on getting into the size 18 regular..that rocks! I am so happy for you. I have a pair from Target that I am dieing to get into..maybe in 5 more lbs or so!

Well..had me a ham sandwhich for lunch and am starving...need to grab some popcorn as a filler! Hope you are all having a great day! :bcb_up

Hi everyone...I was hoping to be able to join you all. I have been reading some of your posts lately and would like to be part of a supportive group like this! Plus, I already 'know' some of you from the biggest loser thread! :bcb_wink3 I also need a kick in the butt when it comes to working out so I figured that I needed the support. I hope I can encourage some of you as well!

I am married and have 4 wonderful children (dd~14 (soon to be 15), ds~11, ds~3 and dd~2). This is my 3rd time with WW and I'm hoping that the "3rd time is a charm" works for me! (so far so good) I have battled my weight since I had my daughter...losing those same 30 pounds for what feels like a hundred times. I really had a hard time after having gabriel, my 3 yo. I gained 65 lbs+ with my pregnancy (I started to turn around at the scale for my last few visits so I don't actually know WHAT I weighed at the end! lol) and I've had a really hard time with my weight ever since.

After my 2 yo was born, I started ww but quit after just a few months and losing 10 lbs. Then I started doing the firm workouts. I lost about 23 lbs and worked out for the whole year of 2005. I quit doing the workouts for some unknown reason to me now (laziness, I guess) and gained all 23 lbs back in just 6 months. Ughh! So here I am losing that same 30 lbs again for the LAST TIME!!! I am not EVER going to quit ww and I would like to start some type of workout program starting the first of the year...I just can't decide what to do...I just know that I need to start to move!

Wow, I'm starting to ramble! I am excited to get to know all of you and hope I can be a supportive part of your group!:bcb_bigsm

Well, I'm up 1.6 this week (which is actually better that I thought). I'm just glad that last week is over and it's a brand new week. Gotta get my butt in gear earning those AP's!

Melissa- Glad you had fun in NYC! I'll post in the accountability thread starting tomorrow (my new week starts then). It doesn't look like too many people are posting there anymore. I will...it helped me stay on track a bit more. See you there.

Carrie- Welcome to the Fit and Fab Fems! It's always nice to have a new person join!!!

Linda- I hope your Lily is ok. It's good that you're getting her checked out.

Good evening everyone...well made it through another day of work...just praying that these are the last few...found out that we are closed on Friday!!! WOOHOO! I did not know this until today! That is wonderful news. So what is everyone's plans for the holiday's? I am going to try and go to my mom's on Wed. but if DD still has a fever (it was 101.4 tonight) than I will have to wait until she gets better. Christmas Eve we have family over to my parents and to snack type foods...then watch my Nannie open gifts...then Christmas morning we do stockings and the tree and have brunch..then off to my grandparents. It will be an interesting WI next Thursday...I am just really gonna watch my portions and drink the heck out of some water!

Adele-So sorry about the gain...glad it wasn't as bad as you though. For some reason I am up also this week...not sure what is going on. I will WI tomorrow b/c I will be in Nashville on Thursday. We'll see! Brand new week..here you come...I will see you on the accountability thread as well!

Carrie-WELCOME!! Glad to see you here! This is also my 3rd time on WW and I want this time to be it. I will not give up this time until all of the weight is gone. Post often!

Marcie- Good! I'm glad you'll join the accountability thread too! The more the merrier! :bcb_smile My plans for the holidays are : Go to MIL and FIL's on Christmas eve at 4:30 (snacky things there)...then head over to my aunts (where all of my family gets together) for 6:30 (oh yeah, more snacky things lol). Then we come home. Christmas day we open presents and stockings here. Then we go to MIL's for dinner at noon. Then we go to my parents house for dessert and presents. It's crazy!! I love my family, but hate all the traveling (especially with 3 kids). :bcb_huh:

Good Morning Fems!!

Well, DH birthday wasn't too bad. I ate fruit and an oatmeal for lunch, so I saved points for dinner. I had a chicken sandwich and 1/2 of the fries. I brought cupcakes and didn't eat any because I don't like this particular ones that I bought! I can't believe Christmas is less than a week away now...I am ready, but still feels like I have a million things to do!!
We will go to my SIL's sisters house on Christmas Eve for a big dinner and appetizers and desserts. There are a ton of people there (she has a huge house). Everyone goes right after church so everyone is dressed up and they do a huge Yankee swap. It's a lot of fun. DD has a blast and so do we. We will put DD in her pajamas there and then get home by 11. Open gifts at our house in the AM and head to MIL/FIL for presents and brunch. THEN to my sisters for Christmas dinner. I ALWAYS take the day after Christmas off to re-cuperate...

I didn't get up this morning and exercise. I will tonight though. I will also take a walk at lunch...

Linda: Hope Lily is better! Glad you are getting back into BCB mode! You can do this. It helps for me to keep posting. You guys are the only ones who never get sick of hearing about what I ate and when I exercised...we are here for you!!

Melissa: I am so glad you had fun in NY! I love NYC!! I need to bring DD there soon to see the American Girl doll place...maybe in the spring...

Marcie: WHOHOO Friday off is awesome!! GL at WI tonight...SKINNY VIBES!!!

Carrie: Welcome! You will love this bunch of girls and congrats on being the biggest loser!!

Adele: So sorry about the 1.6 gain! We just need to get through this week and back to bootcamp mode!! We can do it!!

Hope all the other missing Fems are doing okay. Please stop in and say hi!!

Hugs,
Marianne

Good morning Fems...Happy Tuesday to you all! I have WI tonight and am dreading it b/c the scale was up 2 days ago and I have been scared to get on it since. I started WW 8 weeks ago and have lost and gained and lost the same amount of weight. If I lost tonight I would finally be out of the red and into some new numbers...errrr....anyway...not gonna give up....gonna keep on plugging along..it will start falling I know it!

Adele-WOW y'all are all over the place huh? Its still so much fun though...I can't wait b/c DD is at an age this year that she really gets the whole Santa thing!!

Marianne-You too will be super busy...yes taking the day after sounds like a great idea...I used to as well but with a new job I do not have any vacation. Good for you on saving your pts for dinner...that is a great idea to eat oatmeal at lunch when you are going out to eat for dinner...I will have to try that!

Well...its pretty quiet here these days....we are really missing all of our Fems...I am hoping it is b/c the time of year.

Hope you all have a great day!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I am glad to have a "place" on the bcb to post. We had xmas for my family this past weekend at my mom's camp and I didn't eat as well as I had hoped but we'll see on Wed's WI. We did get out to take a walk so hopefully that will help.

As for the rest of the season: The 23rd we have dinner at my sisters with my dad's side of the family. Christmas Eve we stay home so I can stay OP, no problems there...Christmas day we have breakfast at home and then off to the in-laws for the day. The day after I am off and going to play with my kids for the entire day! I can't wait...I am like a big kid at xmas!

Adele~Some weeks I can't wait until my points 'renew'...like this week for instance...is it Wednesday yet?!?!?!?

Marcie~Hope dd is feeling better for xmas! Doesn't it always seem to happen this time of the year. We watched our video from last xmas the other day and my dd14's voice was so deep on the tape and she was coughing like crazy...she is hoping not to catch anything so she doesn't sound like a "man" this xmas! lol

Marianne~Good job on dh's dinner...no cupcakes! :bcb_up Good job! I'm with you on the day after xmas...that's my time with the kids...even dh has to work but that's okay with me. He'll need about 10 more years before he has seniority(sp?) to do that.

We are off to hartwood acres (huge xmas light display that helps fund a local charity) tonight. It's really nice and all the kids enjoy it. I am going to try to get in some form of exercise today even if it's just the 100 loads of laundry that I need to cart up and down the stairs! Have a good OP day everyone!!

Good Afternoon girls!

Well, I've been busy running around trying to find something to wear for this coming weekend. I managed to find a nice red blouse and an off-white sweater and some black dress pants. DS had occupational therapy this morning and then I was off shopping. The stores were crowded, but not terrible.

Marianne- Sounds like you did well during DH's birthday!! WTG. I didn't exercise yet either. I will later. Enjoy your walk!

Marcie- Sending SKINNY VIBES.. SKINNY VIBES:bcb_wink3 !!! Good luck at WI. My weight has been up and down lately too. I'm in the same boat as you. Just hang in there!!

Isn't it crazy how just posting here made me get off my butt and just do it? I don't want to be a liar and post on the "FIT & fab fems" and not be working out...now you all need to keep on me so I continue to exercise! :bcb_kick:

Hi ladies,

sorry I was MIA. But you know me....when i'm MIA that means I'm way too busy and NOT OP. :bcb_mad2 It's so close to Christmas, NYC kicked my but being so tired yesterday. And I had Elvis rehearsal last night and 2 Elvis shows tonight adn tomorrow. So needless to say I'm not going to the gym this week because I do NOT want to be too tired for my shows, etc. I have a migraine coming on which is NOT good since I have to go right to the theater after extended day at school. I need to hound a teacher friend for some excedrin.

Adele: Sorry to hear about the gain but i'm sure i'm heading in that direction this week. bcb_sad I just can't wait for Christmas to be over with....and things to calm down a bit.

I am going to try and ride my bike tonight to fend off any more gain for tomorrow. TOM came today too...so WI tomorrow will not be good, but I will deal with it and move on!!

Marcie: More skinny vibes!! GL tonight!! Hope you get that new job soon!!

Carrie: WTG working out today!! Once you get back in the groove, you will LOVE it and MISS it when you don't have time to fit it in!! Have fun at the Christmas light display tonight!!

Linda: Glad to see you happy, OP and posting! Hope you had fun shopping and I am sure you look fabulous in your skirt and sweater!

Adele: Glad you had success shopping today!! I got a new off white sweater set for Christmas Eve and will wear a pair of dressy black work pants. We don't dress up on Christmas, so just jeans and a cute new off white long sleeve shirt with a silver snowflake on it.

Melissa: Have fun tonight and I hope that headache goes away!!

Hope everyone has a great night!!

Good Afternoon Ladies.

A little about me. I am wife, mother of 4 girls ages 13, 11, and 6, and the last is also 6 (shes the dog) . I turned 32 this Sept, and aside from my battle with weight I feel great.. I am an emotional eater and love to munch at night. Used to be Army, now civilian. Used to be in banking, but it bored me so now I am working at a dental office trying to get my patient care hours so that I can apply to the Physician Assistant Program. (Just got a letter from the school saying that I have been called to the interview, YIPPEE!!) Doesn't mean I am in but 1 step closer works for now. I live in MD now, originally from NY. Right now trying to balance the daily life routine as many of you are. This weekend I went on a cruise and......

......I am back from my cruise for which I can say I had better. My family and I sailed on Carnival and we had such great experiences before with them, however our waiter was very impatient, rude, and got everyone elses order sitting near us before us and served them even though we had arrived before them. Well I wasn't going to let that spoil my fun. With unlimited Ice cream, I had a moment of temporary insanity and went for it. So suffice it to say I wasn't exactly OP but am trying to clean up the rest of my week. My 3 DD's got some kind of Bacterial infection from the hot tub on the ship, so that really peeved me. Then they charged us for some towels that we never had. Go figure?? They are currently investigating.. Hmmmmm... So all kids missed school today and I felt like I was still on a boat up until this afternoon. Still not 100%. Think I'll board Disney next time! Over all still had a good time in the Bahamas so all was not lost.

Adele- Glad you DD is feeling better and was just a 24 hour thing. Sorry about the increase but that will be gone next week. You got right back to focus. I know my WI is not going to be pretty.

Marianne- I know how it feels to start with a little pizza and a little becomes a lot. Thats what happened on the cruise this weekend. You lost 6 inches and that is fabulous. Dont you love how clothes fit once you start shrinking? Fitting in your workouts this week should leave you with a positive WI.

Linda- I am with you on the comfort in food. Taste great, which is what my problem was. Hope Linda is feeling better. It is hard to watch animals ill because they can't express themselves.

Melissa- Glad you had a great time in the City. THe weather was perfect for you! Can't wait to go back myself. You have been working so hard with the exercise you will be down next week.

Cay- Hello I am new here as well and I feel like it is a very supportive group. I too have done WW before. So welcome back!

Hello to anyone I missed. Trying to remember names of everyone and learn more about you all!

Good evening Fems!

Ok. Well I think I came up with a solution to help with my binging. I made a HUGE pot (like 3 gallons lol) of the 0 point veggie soup. I put it all in small individual containers. It's actually quite filling. I also realized that after quitting smoking in July, I chewed gum almost everyday. Now I haven't been chewing gum everyday because my cig craving is pretty much gone (I still get some occasional strong cravings, but I've got them under control). So I bought a big sleeve of the sugarless gum and plan on chewing away. I'll keep you all posted on my progress. :bcb_up

Melissa- I hope your migraine went away before your show. As far as going off program, just get back on track. I did the same thing last week. We can do it!! I'm right there with you! :bcb_wink3

Marianne- Sending skinny vibes your way (even if you have TOM) that stinks. I can't wait for the holidays to be over too (then it's back to normal). Have a good night!

Lisa- That stinks that your children got sick on the cruise and it wasn't as fun as you would have liked. At least you were able to enjoy some of it.

To the rest of our missing Fems...Have a great night!!! :bcb_drill

HI there gals! Sorry I have been MIA! Stomach flu yesterday:bcb_sick: (down 2 lbs...yes i am excited about that! lol) DD is a mess tonight all sorts of gas or something so I have been busy dealing with that.

You know I have always been a believer that everyting happens for a reason. I made all of my cookies and buckeyes this weekend and then I was so sick I couldn't even eat any. I had my first taste today! anyway, interesting tidbit.

I will post personals tomorrow! I am sure we are getting busy for the holidays, so I was glad to see we are all still posting!

WELCOME to the new gals! This is a great group and YES, it does make you get off your booty! yeah!

Talk to you all tomorrow! Have a great night!

Adele~I just wanted to post a really quick note to you...good for you quitting smoking...it's a really hard thing to do and to lose weight in the process is AWESOME!! I quit about 5 years ago (after many, many attempts) and it was one of the hardest things I've ever done in my life. The cravings definitely go away with time and the only time I have a hint of a craving is when I have a beer...which thankfully isn't very often at all...with 4 kids who has time to drink...LOL :bcb_wink3 Congrats!

Hello ladies,

I've been MIA for a while, but it was for a good reason:) :

I AM PREGNANT!!!!:headover:

It was quite a surprise since we were planning on a second pregnancy in a few months, but it is a blessing and we are very happy.
I am 7 wks pregnant, yesterday we did the first US and we saw the heartbeat and everything seems fine for now.
My due date is august 4th.
I've been having terrible nausea in the mornings and in the evenings too (YUCK)
and everything stinks to me, so there are lots of foods that I can't stand.
I crave carbs, but not sweets for now.
Anyway, I've been posting in a pregnant gals thread in BCB and getting some info from their experience.
I am trying to stick to 30 - 34 pts a day, but it is not always easy.
I am exhausted most of the time, so I don't have any energy to exercise, but I try to walk outside as much as I can.
DS has pneumonia, antibiotics and a fever. So I am pretty busy.
But I am happy.
So, my aspirations to lose weight are on hold for the next 7 months.
I sure expect not to gain much and I try to eat healthy, most of the time.
Eat veggies and fruits. I can't stand the smell of meat, but I eat eggs and cheeses, avocado, etc.
I eat whole grains, potatos, sweet potatos, etc.
I still weigh my food, so I know what I am eating.
But every day is different, yesterday was a terrible day food-wise, I had nausea all the time, and I ate saltines most of the day, so I wento over my pts big time, but what can I do? I am trying to stick to my pts and plan my days ahead.
Well, big hugs everybody.:jump_jack
And although I will be posting less often, I really hope that I can still be a part of the FFFs even though my weight will be just going up for now.:ugh:

kisses
Denise

Good Morning Fems!

Well, today is WI and it is not going to be good. But, I will not chicken out..I will go and face the scale. Have TOM so that is going to be a 2 lb gain right there...anyway, I am exhausted and cranky today. Hope to be able to get in a walk later in the day (my boss is out until the new year!), that should help me feel better.

DD has an ear infection now and is back on anti-biotics. Must have caught something new from her cousins over the weekend. Hopefully she will be better by this weekend! She is exhausted and cranky too...but she is out of pre-school for the holidays and has a few days to rest!

Lisa: I have never been on a cruise, and I may never go since I keep hearing all of these bad experiences! I do want to do the Disney one once my DD is older..that seems like it would be a lot of fun.

Adele: Veggie soup sounds good! Glad that you have a plan for the cravings! Thanks for the skinny vibes!

Laura: Hope you are feeling better! 2 lbs loss is awesome! WTG! What are buckeyes???

Carrie: Get that workout in today! It will make you feel better!!

Denise: Congratulations! So sorry you aren't feeling well. Take care of yourself and keep us posted!

Marcie: Good luck today! I know you will get this new job!!

Hope everyone has a great day. I'll BBL with my WI results...:bcb_grrrr

Marianne

Good Morning Fems!

I'm posting quickly because DS's teacher will be here in about 10 minutes. Then, I'm going to clean out the kids bedrooms. Tomorrow, DS has to go to the ENT doctor to see if they can put tubes in his ears. His ear canals were too small to do tubes, so they have to check every so often to see if they are bigger. At 5:00 tomorrow, DS should have his hearing aids!!! I ended up taking him to a different doctor last Thursday and they said it will take a week. The other place took over 3 months (and still no hearing aids). So, as guilty as I felt leaving the other doctor....I'm glad I did! DS's speech is behind and he needs them ASAP.

I'll be back later (after DS's teacher leaves ) to post personals. I'm just posting one....

DENISE- Congratulations!! I hope you keep posting here!

Heeeeey!

Ding! Ding! Ding! Marcie wins the prize! I am sorry I was MIA! DH is home for two weeks. That in itself makes it so hard to get puter time. I just checked my emails yesterday and read posts today. Also just been busy with all the holiday stuff and getting things like grocery back into the house.

Finally went shopping yesterday for ds's xmas present. I know. So late but the whole vacation thing threw me off.

Hope all the sick mommies and sick kiddies are feeling better soon!

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday. Not sure when I will get a chance to get back here but promise back in full force Jan 2. 2007.

Just quickly:

Hello and Welcome to Carrie!

Denise - Congratulations!!! How exciting!!

Sorry I suck at posting today but I gotta go. Can you believe I've been waking up at 6:45ish?! I guess I am catching up on that vacation lack of sleep.

You ladies have been great:
:bcb_bravo Adele, Melissa, Marianne, Marcie, Linda, Lisa, Laura!!

Hi there Fems!
I just love the Christmas Background on here! Very festive!

Ok, I forget the Buckeye's are an Ohio thing, but let me tell ya what. They are THE tastiest treat and oh so not WW friendly. I don't have the exact recipe but I will post it b/c I promise if you make these and take them somewhere or even just at home people will think you are awesome and BEG you to bring them again. Here in Ohio you can't have a holiday without them, I think it actually might be a crime. :bcb_LOL: Basically you take powdered sugar, peanut butter, butter and mix it all together unitl it forms a dough. Then you roll them into little balls, smaller than a golf ball, bigger than a large marble...then you dip them into melted semi sweet chocolate, but only about 3/4 of the way, so they look like an actual buckeye. Melt in your mouth, hands down best PB/CHOC fix you can get. It's like holiday crack.
I will post the actual recipe and even a pic later tonight!

I was down 1 lb at WI today, so I was thankful for that, I lost the 1 lb I had gained last week, but I will take it! Is anyone else worried about the new points thing, I can't justify eating more points (mine went up 3) when I was losing before you know? What new science or reason do they have that says I can eat more and lose the same. Not trying to be a stick in the mud or "fear change" b/c I will accept it, I just don't understand it. Maybe some of you that are going to meetings have touched on this. I meant to bring it up today at my meeting but we were all in Christmas mode.

Denise- CONGRATS! That is so exciting! Your ds is such a cutie I can't wait to see the next one! You just have to take care of yourself right now, and remember, if you breast feed the pounds will fall off faster, and you get to eat like MEGA points! I got 36 after my dd was born! It's so exciting though, congrat again!

Marcie- I wish they had a chicken BCB symbol b/c i would post it right now! BAWK BAWK! I understand why you did it though. Sometimes it might suprise you though, I thought for sure I had gained one time and here I had lost a few! You just never know! You could always go and change into shorts or something too! lol! Take it off! lol! Good luck with the 2nd interview, let is know how it goes!

Marianne- Don't make me post a fake chicken here too! Get on that scale sister! You can do it! Just attack this week and stay strong over Christmas! Dd is sick again eh? That's rough, it seems like she has a little of everything, poor thing!

Adele- I made the 0 pt soup too! It is so yummy! I made a small batch thought b/c I tend to get burned out on it! I ate it all of the time last time I did WW right before I got married. GL with ds and the hearing aids. And more cleaning, did I sseriously hear that you found more to clean. What on earth is there left in you home to clean woman! lol The sweeper cracked me up. If my dh would of brought that home for my gift I would of freaked out! lol too funny!

Lisa- Hi there! Sorry the cruise wasn't what you were expecting. You never know about those things. We took an Alaskan Cruise last summer and it was wonderful.I remember some people getting ill though. Yuck! I think it is such a hard thing to avoid on those things. You did good for only losing control once! I think I read that the average weight gain for a cruise was 7 lbs! MY dh and I proved that one right unfortunately!

Carrie- Wow! 4 kids! How do you find time to post?!! Good for you for coming back to WW. IT works if you work it! We have a thread somewhere about getting to know us. I will have to track it down for you, unless someone else has it. Good to get to know you!

Melissa- Hey girl! All ready for Christmas? When does your school let out? Sorry about WI, but you did so AWESOME last week
Alright... whew. That was a doozie. Sorry for that but I had to catch up! More later!

Laura- OMG! DD is so cute!! I miss when my son was that small. He's going to be 1 1/2 on Jan. 4th. It's sooooo sad. I miss my tiny guy lol. Those Buckeye's sound good....peanut butter (good) and chocolate (good)...gaining weight (not good) lol :bcb_wink3 . WTG losing 1 lb!! That's hard to do around the holidays...so props to you! :bcb_up

Jinner- Glad you checked in. Have a great holiday too!! I expect you back in full force after the new year girlie!!! :bcb_drill Hugs!

Marianne- I hope your WI went well today! I hope DD gets better soon!

Marcie- How did your interview go? I hope it went well. And...yes...make sure you go back to your meeting next week. :bcb_kick: (kick for you)...and hugs! My meetings are on Monday's...and the next 2 Mondays are holidays...so I have to find another meeting to WI because I don't want to let 2 weeks go by without a WI or meeting.

I hope the rest of our Fems are well and OP!! Please check in when you get a chance. Missing you all!! :bcb_cry:

Oh I see how it is. I post and everyone runs. I mean it's not like you have any last minute things going on or something...

Ok, here is the recipe for the Buckeye's as promised. Now this makes 180 Buckeye's so I cut it in half.

3 lbs powdered sugar Must be sifted
1 lb butter, softened
2 lbs peanut butter
5-12oz. bags semi sweet choc chips
1 sticks parafin

Mix sugar, peanut butter and butter together with hands (literally) until it forms a workable dough. If it seems to greasy, add a little more sifted powdered sugar. In a double broiler, melt chips and the parafin until choc is melted. The parafin will start to melt too, when the choc stops sticking to the parafin, you'll know there is enough and you can remove the rest of it. While the choc is melting, roll the dough into small balls, about an inch or so. Using toothpicks, dip each ball into the chocolate about 3/4 of the way up, leaving a little dough showing thru, like a buckeye. Cool on wax paper. I stick them in the freezer to set them faster. You can put them in the freezer before you dip them too, so they are easier to dip. They are delish!

I found this pic online of the buckeye's, didn't have time to take my own.

Hey ladies...well I am now visiting my parents in Nashville...I drove here this afternoon after work. My interview went really well...it is between me and another candidate...I should know something next week. Fingers crossed. In the mean time I had the rest of the day fall to hell and back work wise....this is just not working for me...I am making mistakes I have never made before..I do not know what is going on. Anyway...we'll see how things work out with this other thing. DD is coughing so badly...one thing after a freaking nother...First strep..then the fever virus...now she is coughing her head off! OMG SERENITY NOW!!

Adele-I TOTALLY DESERVE A KICK! Girl you are a cleaning maniac! Glad to hear about DS's hearing aids!!

Laura-DD is a doll..thanks so much for sharing!! YES I AM A CHICKEN...you made me laugh so hard! :) thank you I needed that! Congrats on the loss!

Misha-Glad you are doing ok..figured you were busy. Check in when you can!

Marianne-Hope WI was better than you thought...ok so you can totally relate with the sick kid syndrome...errrrrr...I feel so badly for DD...you know that it has to bother them being sick all the time!!

Well I am off to bed...need to just lie down and be done with the day...talk to y'all tomorrow!

Hello Everyone! I should be sleeping but I just finished up some more wrapping and thought I'd take a break and do my check in. I was down 1.4 lbs this week! I was actually surprised (happily surprised) because I over-induldged with too many cookies on saturday. Thankfully, it was only 1 day and not an entire week! I worked today and then had WI so I only got in a little walk at lunchtime.

Laura~Your dd is adorable! She's going to LOVE the paper this xmas!! lol I know all too well about buckeyes...my mom makes them and they are delish!!! Congrats on the 1 lb loss!

Denise~Aug 4th is a good day to have a baby...that's my dd2's b-day! Congratulations!

Jinner~I'll bet you are glad to be home. It's always nice to go away but it feels so good to be home again. I love your pic on your website with your ds...too cute! Great example of your weight loss!! How much have you lost? (If you don't mind me asking.)

A big hello to everyone and I hope you are all enjoying the holidays...I hope to as soon as I get this darn wrapping finished...hopefully I can sleep soon...night!

Hello Girls!

I'm posting quickly. I have to get DS ready to go to the hospital for his ear tests. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that his ear canals opened up more so they can put tubes in his ears. At 5:00 he should have his hearing aids!! I can't wait to hear his speech improve once they're in.

So, I have a pretty busy day. I'll try to post in the afternoon (between appointments). If not, I'll be back tonight.

Have a terrific day everyone!!! :bcb_wink3

Laura- thanks for the recipe...and for the pic (now I really want some of those lol).

Marcie- That's good that it's between you and another canidated. Poor DD. I hope she gets well soon. Take it easy. :bcb_wink3

Carrie- WTG losing 1.4~~ :bcb_up That's so good...especially around the holidays! Keep it up!

Good morning!

Still have to get something for dh for xmas. Have no clue what to get. He says not more than $50.00 and it must be a non practical gift. I am stumped!

And still need to make a WW meeting so I can find out all the new info and get my monthly weight in.

Getting to know you thread is here (http://www.healthdiscovery.net/forums/showthread.php?t=129788) (You knew I would have it handy!):salut

Just a quickie:

Adele - Hope all goes well today! What excitement!!! WOOHOO!!

Carrie - Wouldn't it be great to have wrapper helpers? Weight loss for me is about 34 lbs. Since I am so short it made a huge difference... I went from about a size 10 to a size 0.

Marcie - HUGS! Sorry to hear about dd AND work! At least you are with your folks and can have some fun! Wishing you the very best! Good Luck!

Laura - OH! Buckeyes are nuts! For some reason I thought they were beans and was trying to picture what they might look like (with the peanut butter and chocolate mix). Sounds yummy! DD is darling! Yaay for 1 pound loss! I love WW veggie soup. I make the huge batch and freeze some for later meals. Works out great.

That's it from me today!

Good afternoon Fems! Well today is the last day of the week for me and I am so glad it is almost over with. I woke up to work problems this morning and they have been going non-stop today. At 8:30 a.m. I ran to the bathroom and got sick...my nerves are either shot or I am pregnant one of the 2. I am thinking it is the first. I felt so much better after I got sick. Crazy...then at 10:45 a.m. after taking DD to doc we had Taco Bell..yea go figure..it tasted wonderful! I feel completely fine now. Crazy stuff. My mom is in the kitchen baking away...I am trying so hard to stay out of there and just work. Drinking this big Diet Pepsi helps me not want to eat!

Misha-HMMM 50.00 limit and nothing pratical huh? Good luck with that..let us knwo what you think of!

Adele-I hope all goes well at the doc office today. I know you are so anxious to see how DS does!

Carrie-Congrats on your loss! WEIGH TO GO! Very proud of you!

Well I am out the door to run errands..everyone have a good one!

Well, my DS FINALLY has his hearing aids!! What a difference. He made 3 new sounds within 2 hours of getting them. It's exciting!
Tomorrow, I'm scrapbooking with my mom in the morning...then I'm going into a cookie baking frenzy! I'll make a point to post at some point...I'm just not sure when.

No time for personals....I hope you all have a good night! :bcb_up

Good Morning Everyone! 3 more days until Christmas!! Are you ready!?! I wish I could say that I was! I had to bake cookies this morning at 6:00 am for ds3's preschool xmas party...I should have done them yesterday but ran out of time and the dough needed to be refrigerated for at least 6 hours so I got up early. (I am so not a morning person!)

Today is another busy day...dd14 had 3 friends over last night so I'll be carpooling girls home sometime this afternoon...I have a dr. appt...I need to finish baking the cookies...get the house in order...go grocery shopping for things that we'll need for christmas...and that's about it...do you think I can fit it all in??? Oh and don't forget about supper and taking care of the kids...I need a break just thinking about it!!! lol

Okay~I'm done now...I feel much better...at least one good thing is that I have been staying OP!!

Adele~My ds11 had tubes put in when he was 4 and we haven't had any problems since. It did, however, hinder his speech. He speaks well but needs extra speech classes in school and since he was delayed in his speech, he has a harder time in school. I feel bad for him sometimes because he gets so frustrated with his schoolwork and he really does try so hard. We make it work though! Doing it at a young age is the best thing that you could do for him!! You sound about as busy as I am!! Have fun today baking! Oh and I LOVE to scrapbook but I am so far behind!! I think I still need to finish vacation pics from 2005!! lol

Marcie~Congrats on not eating the cookies!! I had 1 bite of the chocolate chip ones from this am. I'd rather eat something else if I'm going to 'cheat'. FYI: a baja chicken gordita and refried beans at Taco Bell is only 10 pts!!

Jinner~Congrats on losing 34 lbs!! That's awesome!! Thanks for the link...it was very helpful. Did you figure out what to get dh? I picked up a sirius radio thing for my dh last night...he is so excited about it! (he's a truck driver and he works 4/12 hour shifts so he needed it!)

Hello to eveyone that I missed!!

PS I complain about how busy I am, but I really do LOVE this time of the year and wouldn't do anything differently, it's just crazy right now.:bcb_bigsm

Good morning girls!

I'm starting to get excited about Christmas now. I'm not stressing about presents, wrapping, etc. Now I get to sit back and enjoy! I'm pulling all my cookie recipes together so I can get baking. My mom is running late. She should be here in 1/2 hour to do the scrapbooking (we're doing all the past Christmas's). DS has been pulling his hearing aids out....I had to use medical tape to keep them on him. Hopefully he'll get used to them soon.

Carrie- That's funny! My hubby is a truck driver too and he LOVES his Sirius radio! He's a Hair Nation (80's hair bands) guy lol. Now he has one in his big truck, his pickup, the house and he wants one in my SUV. Your DH will love it!

I hope the rest of you are all well!! Take care everyone!

Hi Fems!

Hope everyone is ready for Christmas now! I FINALLY am! Just have to bake cookies with DD tomorrow for Santa and go grocery shopping. Bringing a salad to a party tomorrow night and a veggie tray Christmas eve. I volunteered for these things so I wouldn't have to bake a ton of bad stuff and I know there will something for me to fill up my plate with!

WI on Wed was AWFUL! Up 2.2 lbs!! I am back OP and seriously considering joining a gym. I am going to go look at it tomorrow. Not getting discouraged though. Going to go for a walk at lunch in a few minutes. Work is crazy since so many people are out. I had yesterday off and brought DH to accupuncture. He has ringing in his ears (tinnitus) that really bothers him. Accupuncture has been thought to help diminish the ringing. So far, no luck, but he needs to go again. DD had her ballet holiday party yesterday too, I was glad I was able to go; it was really cute!!

Adele: So glad DS has his hearing aids and is already improving his speech! Hope you had fun scrapbooking! I did a little yesterday too. I am working on our Disney trip from Sept!

Jinner: Did you get DH anything yet? How about something from NASCAR? That is impractical...or a remote helicopter or airplane or something then DS can play it with him too! Guys seems to LOVE that stuff! I got DH hockey tickets to the Bruins...and a new pair of slippers.

Laura: WTG on the 1 lb loss! Buckeyes sound delicious, but I think I will stay far away from them!! Don't need another sweet obsession!

Marcie: Hope you are better! You are under so much stress, please try to take it easy...you need to be well for Christmas!

Carrie: WTG on the loss! You sound so busy right now! GL with getting everything done today!!

Hope everyone has a great day and I will try to log in tomorrow to wish everyone a great Christmas!

Good supoer busy afternoon!

I am sure that everyone is crazy busy right now. All of the exciting last minute things to do! I can't believe Christmas is right around the corner!

I am doing good with the eating and getting ready for all of 4 events we have to go to. They start tonight with pizza at my FIL's. I might be MIA for a few days but I promise I will return to my Fems! WE are so busy and have something every night until Tuesday! Plus we are going out of town Christmas Eve to visit my Dad.

Dd was up until 1:30 last night so I am pooped and little off schedule.

Dont' have time for personals, but I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and I hope you all have great time with your loved ones!

Hey Jinner, maybe at the first of the year we should start a new getting to know the Fems thread. There are so many new ones and a lot of old that don't come around anymore. Just a thought...
Anyway, take care FEMS! Be strong, eat right!

Don't let the Santa bring you a big fat booty! :bcb_LOL:

Jinner- Know how you feel about the shopping for the DH. Good luck! Hope you find something!

Another busy day today...I didn't do as much as I should have yesterday so I'm paying for it today!! We are eating pizza tonight...it's a BIG trigger for me to overeat so I'm a little nervous...I am bringing veggies and ff dip so hopefully I won't over-indulge. Everything in moderation is my motto this holiday.

Marcie~How was Charlotte's Web? I'd like to take the kids. Is it good for all ages? My ds3 and dd2 didn't quite make it through Santa Claus 3...that's putting it nicely...lol

Lisa~Glad to hear the kids are doing better. A small gain isn't bad at all for going on a cruise!! I've never been on one but don't they have food everywhere!?! :bcb_up

Marianne~I'd love to join a gym! I just don't have a babysitter or that's what I would have wanted for a xmas present. Maybe when the little ones go to school...in 3 years! Good luck with that!

Laura~I loved your comment...I'm going to try really hard not to have a bigger booty on Dec 26th!! I have WI on the 27th so I have to be good, right!?

Adele~I tried posting a cute graphic for xmas for everyone but all I got was a jumble of symbols and letters...How do you do it?

I'd like to wish EVERYONE a Very Merry Christmas!!! Be safe and enjoy the time with your families!!! :bcb_bigsm

No luck with shopping for dh present. I think I may end up getting a remote helicopter or something. I was thinking of a toy that both my guys can enjoy. I don't know yet though. Plus I have to get away to go the shopping. Dh may end up presentless. The other idea I was toying with was seeing if a neighbor could watch ds for a few hours and I take dh out to eat lunch or dinner or something. I don't know!!!!

Carrie - I sent you a pm on how to do photos. Hope it helps.

Funny how we are all doing xmas baking. I baked about 3 different things the other day. Gave most of it away to my favorite people who don't live in the house!

Laura - A new "Introduction to the Fems" for the new year sounds like a great idea.

Adele - What a great way to bring in the new year! Hearing aids and hearing and making sounds!!

Marianne - Great suggestions! Thanks! I had some good ones but dh kept saying no don't want/need that. So if I don't get him anything, I'm not going to cry about it!:bcb_bigsm

Marcie - I love my Taco bell. You can make some good choices there. Remember they have the "Fresco" style that will lower the points...not by much but a point is a point.

Lisa - Funny how we get so busy during the holidays! Sorry to hear about the gain... our leader said (yes, I went yesterday woohoo) if you aren't going to try to lose or maintain during the holidays, then work for a controlled gain.

She also said:
It's a holiday... holi "day". Not holi "week" or holi "season"!

Hello to all my fems. Melissa! I know you are out there having a blast! Linda, Katie, Liel, Denise....hope you are all well. Sorry if I missed anyone. DH watching the clock on me. Gotta go! If I don't get a chance to say it again...

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Well ladies...only 2 more days till Christmas..it is so hard to believe! Things are ok here in Nashville...actually got into with my father b/c he got mad at me for taking DD out to dinner while she was on antibiotics...uh..my kid...my decision..none of your business. Anyway...I wasn't as good as Jinner and went off. Too much stress right now..have been nauteous non stop now for 3 days and I am just done with it...I am so tired of being this stressed out!! Anyway...we'll see if 2007 holds better things for us!

Carrie-Charlotte's Web was awesome...my DD is 3..the only thing is when Charlotte died DD boohooed in the theatre...I mean lost it...so that was a little hard. She had a hard time making it through Santa Clause 3 also but did well in this one.

Jinner-Man...I do not know what to tell you about DH's present...that's a tough one...maybe get him a gift card?? That way he can pick out what he wants?? Good luck with it!!

Marianne-Merry Christmas!

Laura-A new getting to know you thread is a good idea..there are many that I do not know on the other one. Cracking me up with the big fat booty!!

Well I hope everyone is doing well and wish you all a very Merry Christmas!

Hello girls! It's after midnight...so I'm just going to post quickly. I will not be on for a few days due to the holiday. I'll be back Tuesday. Just wanted to check in and let you know I'll be MIA for a bit (as I'm sure most of you will be too). I hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!

Good morning ,
I am getting ready for work and I didn't hear my alarm go off so I didn't get my walk in today. I am feeling really down and feel like closing myself from everyone but I can't do that for it is not good for me. I must admit i miss my dear children this time of year but chosing to remember the good times I had with them. I dream last night about them and there was one xmas where my daughter was in a coma and how sad it was just waiting for her to wake up she did about two weeks later. After she woke up we had xmas just like we had planned. Today I go to work and I am here now and making good memories and I know I am so thankful for all the friends here and I am going to be with my dh and friends this year. I just know that I can allow myself these feelings and then move on. So hope everyone is having a good day this will be a busy time at the store so Merry Christmas everyone.

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO MY FEMS

Sorry that I have not posted lately. Seems like too many things going on.
My brother who has non hodgkins lymphoma may be having a reoccurance.
His platelets are down to 13,000 and he is anemic and has a white count of 1.8. He is having a bone marrow biospy on Tues to see if it went into his bone marrow. I am really bummed out about this. He is only 48.
Lily died as well. Do not know what caused it but she was getting worse and her personality changed so rapidly . Whatever she had it was not good and the vet did not know what it was. Oh well...I guess I am not
supposed to have another pet. Anyway, I have read your posts and Hope that all of you have a wonderful Christmas and a Good New Year.

Jennifer, I read your post and i am so very sorry for your loss. It puts
my pain into perspective. I can not imagine what you must feel inside
dealing with this loss.

I will see you all after the New Year. Maybe I will have my stuff
together in my head by then. Love you guys.

HUgs to you all
Linda
