Good Morning ladies............you're all probably going to bed and we're just waking up here on this side of the world, so I thought I'd start the thread.
QUESTION OF THE DAY: What will you do differently TODAY to get you back/keep you on track and OP????

Getting ready to go to bed here. Found out tonight that there is no school again tomorrow due to power outages.
Question of the day- I will plan out my daily menu in the am, and get in my scheduled workout for the day to keep me op.

answer to QOTD: Well, I've been back OP for a few days now, and it hasn't all been PERFECT. I haven't been writing down in my journal and drinking all my water. SO....today I am striving to do both of these things. WATER & WRITE
Ok, so that felt good. I'm going to go get myself a big glass of water and bring my WW books here to where I'm sitting on the couch. BRB (be right back).........
ok, so it's like 2 hours later, but I'm back and i've already had 1 huge glass of water with lemon squeezed in it. I also just ate some of my favorite 0 point cabbage salad. Here's the recipe: Cabbage, preshredded or cut in small pieces whatever will fit into your bowl. (I usually just cut my own into small pieces, less mess than using a grater). Then make the sauce: in a separate bowl, mix vinegar (apple cider vinegar is healthiest), about 1/8 of a cup, then mix with a few tablespoons of soy sauce, and about 3 or 4 packets of splenda. Mix well, then pour over the cabbage. For some extra taste (that ends up being like maybe 1/2 or 1/4 point per serving), add sunflower seeds, or sesame seeds, or even once I toasted and added pine nuts! *I keep this salad on hand and it is perfect when I want to munch but don't want the extra points, PLUS, it keeps things moving, if you know what I mean! :)
ok, off to do some more laundry! Hoping to get to the gym today, but we'll see if my father-in-law can get here to be with the kids. There's no school today; closed for Chanukah for both. My little one goes back tomorrow though, so it will be just me and the big guy. OH, and we're having a Chanukah party tomorrow afternoon for like 25 kids, aargh! BUT, check this out............I have wi tomorrow night AFTER the party. Soooo, no, I won't be tempted to have the goodies that I will be serving! Good planning I think on my part, I'll let you know tomorrow!
ok, have a great day. :) sus

Happy Hannakah, Sus E and the all rest of you!
To stay/keep on track: 1. I will exercise every day this week, and start every morning with a stint on my stationary bike. 2. I will also make up some WW-friendly food. I am down on all good WW foods right now, such as Diet Coke cake, ff sf pudding, vegetable soup, and GLOP.
Saturday was great. I was OP and earned AP that could take hours to talk about.
Sunday was another matter. I didn't follow meal plan at all, although I stayed within 5 of my point range for the day. (The rest will have to come from Flex points, which isn't good for the week before Christmas.) I got no exercise and accomplished nothing, not even crochet.
BusyMom, I am sorry about no school again. Hope all is well there.
To the rest of you, will have to read weekend postings before I can do personals.
Have a great Monday.

Just read rest of weekend posts.
Melody, I know that Las Vegas has been dreary lately. (Did I ever tell you I had lived in Las Vegas for five years. Way before your time. I was a reporter and editor for the Las Vegas SUN when it was still an independent daily. I have been sad ever since it was changed. It can't be the same without Hank Greenspun always watchdogging stuff. I miss Las Vegas, but know it has changed a whole lot since I lived there.
Also, Melody, thx for asking about my BIL. He is still at a rehabilitation center and is getting three physical therapy sessions a day. (Wish I could use the gyms there. They're great.) He won't get home for Christmas, but he is on the mend and will be OK someday. We expect him back home in January.
I am also wondering about your stationary bike. I like the bike, but I find my derriere is sore when I use it too often. I'm either going to have to buy a gel-filled saddle or get some of those cushioned biking shorts. Do you have the same trouble?
Hope you were diligent and behaved yourself at the party. How did it go?
Will get back with all later.

Good Morning Ladies...
I am sooooooooo glad to be home. I could hardly get up this morning. This weekend was alot of fun but 3 nites up past midnight and i need to catch up on some sleep.
The party Sat Nite was kinda crummy. The DJ was awful. Seems they had some planning snafu and ended up with this idiot. It was at a different hotel from last year and clearly not as nice or as much fun. But we did manage to spend some time on the dancefloor and we did spend some time in the casino. Overall we came home winners having paid for our trip and expenses and ups and downs and still home with almost 300.00 more than we went with between us.
What was not really great was eating that dinner Sat nite so late. And i could have made some better choices. I did much better at staying OP on Sunday. But i didn't make it down to the exercise room before we headed home. I am sore in places i'm not used to being sore and sitting on that bike was not a good idea before i had to get in the car for a 5 hr drive. Today i'm getting laundry and grocery shopping caught up and i'll get back to my walking tomorrow morning.
QOTD... Today i'm going to make sure i get in my all of my healthy 8's. I'm not always great at eating all my fruits and veggies.
Mary... As for the seat on the Stationary bike... that was just killing me! But, my DH, who is a BIG man, recently started riding his bike again and he got a larger more padded seat to resolve that problem. Maybe you can just put a new bike seat on your stationary bike. Glad to hear that BIL is on the mend!!
Michelle... At least you have a day at home to catch up on the laundry.
SusE... Sounds like you are doing better at sticking to the plan. The holidays are just so hard and at this time i think we might even need to do things one meal at a time. I love your cabbage salad recipe... it sounds like a great low point alternative to bad stuff.
Ok... before the contractors get here i have to get myself moving. By the way... it seems more like NY than LA this morning here, my car was frosted over when i went out to take ds to school. So, my goal is to keep warm for the rest of the day too!!
BBL... hope everyone has a great OP day!

Good morning ladies...
I can hardly believe it's the week before Christmas...wow...I still have a TON of stuff to do.
I'm only working today, tomorrow and Wednesday...normally I would be thrilled and don't get me wrong I am...but man am I stressed too. I ended up having to take Friday off, my kids were down with the flu of some sort. It was terrible...The entire day I spent...well you don't really want to know.
Alyssa danced this weekend in the Nutcracker...she did a fantastic job. I gotta tell ya I got a little emotional...I can't believe how big she is already. I'll down load pictured tonight and post them.
Ok...I'll get personals later...

Good Morning!
Laura- Can't wait to see pictures of Alyssa in her Nutcracker costume. How old is she?
Melody- It sounds like your trip was mostly fun! Hope you catch up on your sleep and laundry today.
Mary- Glad your BIL is on the mend.
Jennifer- :bcb_kick: Get started journalling what you eat and drinking more water!
Sus- I think you might be crazy to have a party for 25 kids! :bcb_grin Good luck with that!
I said last night I would plan out my menu for today this am, so I'd better go do that!
Have a good day, bbl!:bcb_salut

Its cccold here today I need to find my sweat shirts BURR
QOTD: Water water everywhere and I MUST drink it! Also I am going out to get some more veggies for my fridge. Working hard in the gym, if all this fat keeps moving then surely I will drop some to never find it again. :bcb_march
Michelle whats going on with all those power outs?? At least you have a good generator, you must have a lot of power outs huh?
Susie I have to do laundry today too so it doesnt become that looming beast over my head. I hope your FIL can get there so you can get some gym time.
Mary your sunday sounds like my Saturday I was eating like I wanted not like I should. Sunday for me was OP and I kicked some butt at the gym. I used to take a spin class and I brought my own gel seat to class it helped but not very much.
Melody Sounds like you had a good vacation and good on ya for hitting the bike so dedicated!! Too bad about the crummy dj and the not as nice hotel I guess you guys know better for next year.
Well gotta go find that sweat shirt before I just freeze to death here.

We have power, it is just the school district I work in that doesn't. Well that and at least 1/4 of the state. The huge windstorm we had here Thursday night really did a lot of damage.

Morning! just a quickie checkin - oh my goodness can't believe it's actually December 18th!
We fly out Thursday night and we're actually in good shape - got laundry mostly done this weekend and we finished up the xmass/hannukah shopping so that's all good.
BUT I'm sure i'm forgetting something!
Anyhoo -
QOTD - I am going to FULLY prepare all my stuff the night before.
I am very good about packing my gym stuff at night before I go to bed - so there is no chance I will wimp out in the morning.
BUT - i've been slack about prepping my bfast/snacks to take with me to work.
This leads to me rushing to do it in the morning - which makes me leave 10-15 minutes late to the gym, which in turn cuts my workouts short by at least 10 minutes.
10 minutes a day can really add up!
OK - gotta run! BBL

Evening ladies!! Today was a good day as far as OP goes. I didnt have any cake and ice cream that they had at work. It really looked good too!!! I can still picture it...thats how good it looked!! <wiping drool off face> So anyways.....I had WI tonight. Down 3.2 pds! :bcbkickbu I was happy cause i was expecting a gain since I was in Florida last week for work and didnt have a good feeling about my eating. I guess all that walking around all day long paid off!
Tomorrow night i'm taking my parents to see a xmas light display. A guy who owns a car dealership has a huge piece of land out here and every xmas he puts on his own light display. It's free and he collects money for the salvation army at the end of it, so its for a good cause.
Well i hope everyone is doing good. Sounds like everyone is really busy lately. Hopefully when this week is over we'll all have some time to relax.
Take care everyone and be good!
