:bcb_smile Good Morning Ladies!! Im starting late in the morning, with my post...should be working! Nothing much planned today. I have been pretty quiet on the "men" situation. Rodney is definately gone, which is fine. I am now talking with Dwayne & John. Both are very sweet but very different. Dwayne seems more sensitive and John more of a comedian and he's older. I think John & I will go out on saturday and see how well we get along. I will say again, I hate this dating routine; it's tough.
vicki~awesome gift for dh he will be so very happy. and boy was your timing perfect to have gotten that gift before everybody sold out! Well, Im not sure about the bread situation. I have cut out so much under WW and hate to lose bread...i will just have to make sure pts are allotted. I dont eat bread, often, at all!
nansee~girl, your weather forecast out here is not too bad but hard to say. they're extending the forecast to a small percent of rain with temps in the 50's. i would say you will be just fine!!!! it may not be a pretty day, but you're safe with us! Where is it that you're going? Somewhere near me, i think? Hope you had a great time at the party and not too much liquid "fun"
bushra~oh, what a wonderful idea of sharing pics of our trees. i will try and snag mom's camera over the w/e and post. good to see your keeping busy and sticking to that TM! anytime you can, walk on it!
laura~yeah for you too....passing up that candy. What is this, woman, day #5? hummmm I just know you're still doing great.
I have to get busy with work, darnit! Hope everyone has a great OP day. I will keep checking and talk later. XXX & OOO
I sent my secret sister gift a few days ago and hope my special sister receives it, ok!

Happy Friday ladies..
I get to Vegas and the thread was sooooo busy yesterday. What happened, we typed outselves out?
What an insane day yesterday was. I took out a pork roast for dinner thinking DH would just put in on the rotisserie and it would be done easy with some baked potatoes and steamed broccoli, good idea right?? Hah!! The rotisserie motor burned out and it stopped and got charred on the outside. So we cut off the charred areas and put it in the oven. That took forever by comparison. I forgot the veggies and they were a bit too done and the potatoes were too hard for MIL. Sigh....
But, at least i got MIL's ironing done (extremely important) and most everything i need packed. I think i forgot one sweater that i had wanted to bring but so far that's it. Also, we hit a bunch of traffic in an area with road repairs so we got here later than we planned. DH suggested i go back to bed but once i'm up thats it for me. After this i'm heading downstairs to visit with my pal the TM (we got friendly on our summer visit) and then have a leisurely shower and get something to light to eat.
Deb.... I know the bread situation is hard but hang in there, it is not often that you are assaulted with fresh bread!! And you counted the points so that's what counts. We are supposed to learn to deal with life's ups and downs and that includes fresh bread. Have fun on your date tomorrow. I know the dating thing is hard but ya never know who you might meet out there. Keeping my fingers crossed that it is at least a fun adventure.
Bushra... Good for you getting on your TM in the midst of all that insanity. I am sooooooo proud of you. As for the Christmas tree pics... i'll try and get DH to take a pic for me and download. Things should be calmer after we get back.
Laura.... I'm here and i'll call ya later!!
Ok... i'm off to the TM.... bbl to check in and more personals....

Morning!
Wow - it's quiet compared to yesterday! where is everyone?
Well - today's WI was a bust. I knew it before I even went there. I could feel it - you know?
I really really did not do well this week.
In retrospect, I was bad. Not bad like oooh I had pizza bad. But bad in that I think I stopped listening to my body again.
Like eating past satisfaction.
Also I think a big contributing factor was that last weekend I did not get to prepare any of my core foods so i've been sort of winging it all week and I know now that that doesn't work!
Also only made it to the gym twice.
This behaviour stops now!
I have 1 week till we leave for vacation and I'm going to make every day of it count.
SO - it's back on the ball.
I considered going back to Flex this week to get portions under control, but i figure I 've been on Core for 7 weeks and this is the first bad one - i need to stick with it.
Got all the new WW materials at my meeting today....my points work out the same so their would be no change for me.
Core seems about the same too. Althought fructose is no longer checked as Core which really bums me out.
OK - gotta run BBL

Hey everyone! So much for my relaxing day. I ended up doing errands until just before Alex got home from school (I didn't even have time for breakie!) Then fed the kids, Alex ran off to tutoring & got my workout done & ran (no really I did, got there in 3 minutes) to pick Alex up from mt. Since I've been home I've been on my feet & now the little one is asleep & dh is out with Alex at swim class. They're staying later for free swim & I hope Alex gets his Seapferdchen today. It's a badge that shows he can swim alone, he needs it to go to the next class which we want to put the boys (Alex & Luckas) in, in January.
Well at least I was able to get some Christmas shopping done. I got a cute outfit for a close friends daughter & then 2 more outfits for another close friends twin girls. Who needs to have girls when I've got tons of friends with them, I get to do the cute girlie shopping but then don't have to put up with the Barbies:bcb_bigsm
Oh, last night at WI our GL baked these cookies that were sooooo nummy & they only had a 1/2pt each! I've got the recipe & since I'm baking with the boys I'm going to bake a batch of them for me, I'm not going without my cookies this Christmas that's for sure!
Debbie~I'd never tell you to go without, that means your on a diet. Q: Did you make the bread yourself? If so then maybe you could make mini loaves & freeze them, count up how many points each comes out to & there ya go. If you didn't bake it then it's best to have some points on the side for the "just in cases" that come up in the world.
Wow talk about a social butterfly! Good luck to you tomorrow, I'll be thinking of ya oh & needless to say we're gonna want details!
Nancee~Okay you know what you need to do to stay 100%OP right? Then do it, prepare your foods, get to the gym, meet your daily requirements & there you go. I also think it's good that you're not switching back. Sound odd coming from me? You had a bad week, face Core head on & tackle what went wrong this week. If Core didn't work for you then you would not be losing like you have, so good job on that.:bcb_up
BTW how did the party go? Oh & Clash of the Titan's is coming on tonight, yes I'm so watching it & I thought of you when I saw it was coming on!
Melody~Sorry about the rotisserie & the traffic, when it rains it pours. Hope that you have fun in Vegas & with Laura, have I mentioned how jealous I am of you right now??? Also have fun with your 'pal'.
Laura~So, how was the PTA party????
Hmm, more like 5 months, although it seems like not that long ago! Yeah I know what you mean about a little drive & being a world away. That's something I really miss about New Mexico (not that we're planning on moving back there though!)
Oh, before I forget here's the Christmas tree, I took it right before I logged on. Trust me the picture does not do it justice! I think I'm going to take another picture tomorrow with the blinds open. Also you can so tell we have a 2yr old here (most of the ornaments are up on the top half of the tree!) In the background on the garland are my chili pepper lights I brought with me from the states, YES I have to have them up every year!

Alright I'm heading off, I wanna get the dough for the cookies ready now so all we have to do tomorrow is roll, cut & bake.

Good Morning Everyone!
It is a glorious Friday morning, and even though I used about 11 points extra last night, I am in a great mood.:bcb_LOL: Last night I had to go to the ER for some problems with my lymphnodes. I am and was in so much pain and they didn't do anything. It pissed me off. What a waste of time, and I'm not one to at the slightest thing go to the hospital, but this has been hurting for about 5 days and getting worse. They said it would go away.
I'm not sure if I should exercise. I think I might try it this afternoon, but if it gets bad I'll stop. There is no need to make my health worse even though I want to lose weight. I'll just make sure to stay OP if I don't exercise, and even if I do.
Anyways. Looks like it's going to snow here. Hope everyone is having a great day!!!

:bcb_yuck: Feeling distincly Grinchy! WI this morning was a big fat bust. I stayed exactly the same, no weight loss what so ever! How is that possible when I've been working so hard? I feel like having a tantrum and yelling "It's not fair." Does this make me like Adrianne on The Biggest Loser? Ok I know that 19lbs in 6 weeks is still good, that my body needs to catch up, and that I'm making healthy changes. It just seems like that with working out 6 days this week, most days two workouts a day, and eating good food for my points, and avoiding junking foods the scale should reward me.
DH is home now so I gotta run, personal later.

Hi guys I've been OP but stressed out and sort of bummin' Hopefully I will get some news today that will change that.
I skipped the gym yesterday but when DH gets home I hope to skip out to the Y:bcb_march . Dont know what we're gonna do for dinner I should really get better at planning meals maybe next week. I mailed most of the christmas presents today, just have my mom and brother to mail still. Anyone with kids got mailed out today.
Debbie- I hated being single too but at least you have some options going on.
Melody-forgot a sweater a tragety like that calls for some shopping in my book.
Nan-see- Yeah staying on the ball is tough sometimes but the shrinking scale makes it all worth while right.
Vicki- Nice tree, to bad about the evaporating relaxing day . I second the request for those low point cookies.
Victoria-Too bad about the hospitals I'm with you I dont go to the doctors unless I think there's something REALLY wrong. I hope you feel better quick.
Michelle-Sucks to just maintain but at least its not a gain and just keep on keeping on and it will come off. We're here for you
LD-Your tree is beautiful.

Vick! nice tree - and oooooooooh clash of the titans - enjoy!!!
Vicki2 - oh boy - if you don't feel well, don't push the exercise! more harm than good can be done. take care of yourself and don't worry - if you are OP you will still lose even without the exercise.
Michelle - sorry bout WI - guess none of us got skinny vibes today.
19 lbs in 6 weeks! holy moly you should feel great - check out my stats if it helps - 40 lbs in almost 2 years.
LD -nice tree! when do you get your new materials? on the surface, it doesn't seem that much has changed for core. flex people might have a change to their daily point allowance (you take a little quiz - it's now based on age, sex, weight and work situation). I'm going to read thru the materials more thoroughly when i get home tonight - i'll report back anything significant!
We (DBF and I) are going back to the east coast to visit family and spend a few days in the city. Since we were in New Zealand for a year, he hasn't seen his grandparents in over 2 years! and also hasn't spent the holidays home in a long time. SO - we're doing 3 days with my mom, 4 days with his family, then 3 days in nyc. I'm really looking forward to it (just hope it's not too cold!)
Laura - thanks for the incouraging words - i'm going to try very hard this week to get back on track....back to basics! as they say!
OK - gotta run!
N :bcb_salut does this guy look like he's drunk? or is it me

Good Afternoon gals....
Sad to say but Laura is home with the kids today and nothing is more important than a Mom being home with her kids when they are not feeling well. So i wandered around by myself for awhile. I kinda like being on my own sometimes, it is a nice change from being busy all the time.
I was not rushing anywhere today so i didn't get out to eat till 11:00. I went to a buffet for the reasonable price and was very good. I had salad, a slice of turkey, a tiny bit of cranberry sauce and a bowl of fruit and iced tea. DH said i should have eaten in the restaurant but i got exactly what i wanted so it was worth it to me. No law says you have to consume all the food you can just cause it is a buffet.
And, i tell you ladies all this knowing that i make these choices thinking of how i would face you all if i made bad choices. So, thanks for listening!
Then i wandered around walking from casino to casino. It was good exercise in addition to my morning visit to the exercise room. Seems their TM is broke and they are ordering a new one so i just tried the exercise bike. I know i was getting tired but i didn't expect my legs to feel like rubber when i got off it. And after a hot shower i felt great.
DH is napping now (he didn't get to sleep till 1am) and then we are meeting our friend for dinner tonite at an authentic Italian Restaurant. She called it "REAL" Italian food... i said compared to what... crappy Italian food?? Lucky for me i think i have like 8AP's from this morning!!
Ok.... he is awake now so i'll check in with you ladies in the morning. see ya....

We are now at the 24 hour mark without power. Thank goodness for generators! I used up everyone of my flex points today, but I'm feeling back on track tonight and ready to work the program for all it's worth this week.
I did get good news about my old school. My dream job is opening up there and will be posting on Monday. My old boss called this am to give me a heads up to look for the job posting! Whoo hoo if I can go back to my old school with more hours to boot that would be so awesome.
Yes this guy :bcb_salut does look like he drunk.
