I saw this mentioned on another thread - am I the only one who suddenly can't use BCB at all in Firefox?

Me either... I had to switch to Safari.. (I'm on a MAC)

Well, everything works.. except the reply box doesn't fully load when you try to reply to a post.

I know, and you can't edit posts either. It's very annoying since Firefox is my default browser (it needs to be for work). It only happened after the site went to the Christmas layout and then back to the regular layout.

I am having problems too. I can't go to the message board... hopefully, it is temporary.

I've been in Firefox all day (including now) with no problems except that for a while, the reply box looked odd. But it worked. I have Firefox 1.0.7.

I'd give up BCB if it didn't work with Firefox. I have had too many problems with IE. I think I only brought it up once on this machine, just long enough to download Firefox and install it.

I think Denise is trying to put up the Christmas decorations with the board running.

I can get in and seems like I can do everything on Firefox BUT editing posts. Good thing I have the laptop set up right next to the Mac at work.

Whew! I thought I was the only one. 1st of, firefox rocks. But yes the editing posts & replying is NOT working  . Using IE now, which makes me upset. But in any case, it was working fine this morning... so I have no idea what just happened.

I'm guessing it's just a temporary glitch while Denise gets the holiday layout running...I hope. I'm glad it's not just me!

I thought I was going nuts! I'm glad I saw this post or I never would have figured it out.

Mine was working, then it wasn't. Checking again today-- still not working. Blah. Dumb IE.

lol - i must be the only person in the world who doesn't mind IE. I'm not really a computer junkie though either.

I've always used IE too Deb. I have no problems with it at all! But then again, I've never tried the other browsers. I'll stick with my tried and true though! ;)

I use Opera and don't have any problems. I haven't heard what's going on with the site that would cause firefox not to work all of the sudden.

If you don't want to use IE while there are problems give Opera a try. It's got a lot of the same features as FireFox and it's free too. I haven't tried the mac version but I've used it on Linux and Windows with no problems.

The only reason I use Firefox is because I work for an Internet company, and all of the documentation I write uses Firefox screen caps. It is more web-standards compliant than IE, but unless you're a web developer, that doesn't really matter.

Opera is not a bad browser, I do some testing in it sometimes. I'd imagine it's less vulnerable to exploits than IE and even Firefox because it's not commonly used.

fyi, i was having this very same problem 2 saturdays ago, so i highly doubt that its the layout.

Hey, as long as it works with A browser, i'm okay with it. I'm not a huge fan of IE, but if that's what i gotta do...

Did you guys get your IE update? Its okay. Now you can do tabbed browsing in IE. I still cant access any links though, which was the reason i hated it. If you didnt, you can do a windows update and get the new IE.

oh, and btw, the issues i had with firefox and bcb resolved within a day or two. they are back (i couldnt PM or edit), so maybe they'll go away..

I can finally use firefox again... but only after I went into the options and changed the message editor interface to the standard editor w/ extra formatting controls ... instead of the enhanced WYSIWYG one.

Finally. I couldn't stand using Safari any longer... (it renders sites rather whacky a lot of times)

Thanks for the tip Lele, I would have never guessed.

I hated using IE (but I'm a tech support chick).

You can manually do all the stuff in the WYSIWYG editor if it's not working for you. You can read more about the vBcode here (http://www.healthdiscovery.net/forums/misc.php?do=bbcode)

The smilies you can add if you type the codes (http://www.healthdiscovery.net/forums/misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=0&forumid=18)
