The freak is here! Thanks for starting the competition this week. Feel free (ANYONE) to start the competition. It's just a matter of cutting and pasting.
DD seems raring to go. I have a sneaky suspicion she may want the title this week. Is she going to do it? Who's gonna give her a run for her money? Will it be Adele the first BL? Or maybe Kiwi2cute? Who's gonna be the biggest http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n84/MishaSM/sign0070.gif
CONGRATULATIONS TO MARIANNE!!

Rikki,
EVerybody will post their stats on their own weigh in day. You calculate by:
% calculations: #'s / last weight X 100
Let's say your WI day is Wed. You put your score in on Wed. So I lost 1.5lbs and last week's weight was 150. You would calculate: 1.5 divided by 150. Then times that by 100. You should get 1%.
Hope that helps.
Congrats to all our losers so far:
Adele
Cheetara (in the lead!)

Thanks Everyone! I really appreciate everyone's support. I feel like there's so much pressure to keep it off now more than ever since I have to stay within 2 lbs for 6 weeks. I'll need you all to keep me on the straight and narrow!! (don't get me wrong...I'm really glad to be at this point but I guess I'm just nervous)
Lisa-Wow! Congrats on the huge loss!!
Good luck everyone!

I lost 6lbs this week. YIPEE! All my hard work paid off and my percentage is 2.6%. But I came JUST under Lisa! :sobbing: And after all that work....I can't believe i'm not the biggest loser. LOL. Oh well. Lisa....you rock! Any tips? How did you do it? I know I owe it all to waking up at 5:30am and going to the gym everyday.

Yep! Hard to keep the weight from coming back which is why I believe this truly must be a lifestyle change. You have to constantly be aware of what you are eating, doing and weighing. But it is so well worth the effort!!
MELISSA - CONGRATULATIONS! OMG! 6 pounds is HUGE!!:D Kinda weird that 6 pounds this week did not get you the title of Biggest Loser but there is always next week! Keep up the hard work!! It is paying off in spades! AND whatever you do, do no... I repeat... DO NO SLACK OFF like you did last time! Keep yourself on a roll!!!!

Melissa, your weight loss is incredible!!!!! Last week I actually gained .5 lb even though I exercised like a maniac.LOL :exercise2 This week I think my body regulated itself out and compensated for my gain the week before. I do run alot, so that may be why my loss was high for my weight. I run about 25-30 miles per week. I try to do the firm scult 2X week, and I go to the gym on the weekend to do freeweights, upper and lower body. You are so disciplined in waking up @5:30 am. I am trying to get there, luckily I work 2nd shift a lot. Melissa you are such a loser this week. I look foward to you smoking me this week. :exercise: Always up for a challenge!

Lisa:Thanks for the words of encouragement and I am definitley going to challenge you for the title next week! (put of your dooks) LOL. I have JUST started to do the jogging thing and got up to 1.25 miles jogging straight without stopping to walk. so i'm going to be working towards doing a 5k in the Spring. This week i'm going to stay at 1.25 and then next week i'm going to do 1.50 and so on and so forth. But even the jogging makes a huge difference in my weight loss. I"ve always done the strength training WITH my cardio so that makes a big difference in my overall look. I've lost 14.2 lbs all together but I've also lost 13.5 inches! Which is a GREAT NSV for me!

Way to go all you losers! What a great week!
Melissa~good for you...6 pounds is a HUGE loss!! How did you start running? I was thinking about doing the couch to 5k program at the beginning of the year. I did the firm for about a year but can't get back into the groove for some reason. I've always wanted to try my hand at running...I used to do it YEARS ago and loved it! I'd appreciate any input! :D
Have you all been watching the biggest loser? The transformations are just amazing...I can't wait to see the finale this week.
Keep up the great work everyone!!!:bcbsalute

Hi Alyssa - welcome to the group. Most of us are part of the daily thread Fit and Fab Fems so come on over and post with us so we can get to know you. That goes for any of you other ladies that joined us in the biggest loser if you really want to get to know us on a daily basis. We started out at pretty much the same weight and have the same goal. My starting weight was 235 back in 9/05. I lost 30 lbs and then gained a little over 15lbs back due to medical issues during the last 8 months. But I am back in BCB mode and i'm determined to get to my goal this time.
'
Carrie: I started running by just doing it in .15 spurts. I'd warm up for .30 and then jog for .15 and then walk for .15 and then jog for .15 and so on for about 30 minutes. Then after about a week or two of that I upped it to .25 walk/jog for 30 minutes. Then .50 and so on....I am not warming up for .30, jogging for 1.25 and then walking for another .30 or more until I hit 30 minutes. Next week I'll be going for 1.50 straight and then the following week 1.75 and so on until I make it to a distance for a 5k. A few buddies from the New England group (we all live within about 1 - 2 hours of eachother) are working to do a 5k somewhere together in the spring. That's my motivation! I also jog really slow which allows me to sustain jogging longer. right now i'm at 4.2 and walking at 3.5 - 3.8 after I get my distance in I'll try doing it at 4.5 and then upping it to 5.0 eventually... but that will take me awhile.
