Ok so Chrissy and I are right around the same weight, have the same goals, and both need some accountability. So i am starting this thread for us to post accountabililty and to start our challenge. What do you want to do Chrissy?

B - carnation shake (2.5) = 2.5 points

D - lasagna (8) = 8 points
S - food porn (4) = 4 points
total points = 25/24 + 1AP

Ha I am only 5'7, but prefer my pants long because I wear heels for work. I think a race down to the 160s is good!

yeaah tracy.. you can do it!!! i've got my first 1.5L *almost* done.. i don't know why the water is such a struggle for me this week

i'm doing good so far... i've stuck to my points and just have to figure out dinner tonight.. i HAVE to get groceries right after work so i will pick out something i can put together quick when i get home...any suggestions?
i didn't get to the gym at lunch today and i don't think i will make it there for a while with all this work i have.. yuk!! it just means i'm really gonna have to push the at home workouts and maybe see if i can get my mom to finally bring her exercise bike over (she doesn't like it so she's giving it to me)

Hmm what about some grilled chicken breasts and broccoli and salad? or get some 90% lean ground beef, or ground turkey and make some tacos! Ohhh now I want tacos. I still havent decided what I am making for dinner. I have done good all day. 1.5L down so far. I turned down bagels this morning and went to get my nails filled on my lunch to avoid going out with some friends.
I might go to the gym tonight. or I might start the gym routine next week. I am such a dork about working out a few days before wi. But i figure i could work out tonight and tomorrow and rest sat? I know I will feel better and more energized if I go... but greys is on tonight, so I would have to go before that. or i could go after, seeing it IS 24 hours... hmmm

I didnt get to the gym.. I dont know if you know the story, but Johns mom is crazy and is ruining her family... well it has been putting a strain on our relationship the past few days and last night sucked pretty bad. She called him like 6 times wasting an hr of time. So finally I was trying to watch survivor and she called again and i can hear her through the phone and hes yelling back at her, so I ask him to go in another room cuz I dont want to hear it and he doesnt! So they get off the phone and of course she calls back again like 5 min later and they start again. I get angry and yell at him to go in another room and again he ignored me. He knew I was pissed after he was done, and instead of apologizing, he leaves to go over her house to pick up some of his mail and proceeds to stay there 2 hours. We dont get a lot of time together and it hurt that he wasted our night. Then when he does get home and im in bed, he watches tv with me til 6 degrees is over, then decided to go out to the living room to watch tv and go on the computer instead of coming to bed. there is a lot more to it, but that sums it up. Its funny cuz I told Jodes, when I was here on the boards before, things sucked with my job and things in my life, i got it all back on track, and i happen to come back to the boards and it goes to sh it again! But I am not letting it bother me, I am actually using it to work harder with weight loss cuz it is something I CAN control.
I had 2 tacos last night for dinner with a diet coke. I got up this morning to check the scale and it said 173.2! so hopefully by sunday i might even see the 172's!

oh tracy.. HUGS!!!! that really sucks.. i don't really have any great advice cuz i haven't done so well in the relationship department but i'm glad your not letting this get you down WW wise... awesome job on the scale!! i peeked on mine this morning and it was 171 something.. it is ALWAYS the lowest the day after WI lately, maybe i should start WI-ing on fridays? lol

Haha i started thinking that way. i switched from thurs to hmm sat morning? i cant remember but it made no change ha. it all catches up in the end right? I saw your daily and have some ideas about your leg. One is potasium deficiency. I used to get charley horses in my legs every night more then once a night. I started taking my multi, eating a banana a day or 2. It very well can be dehydration. How much water do you get in a day? with running around and/or working out tech to avoid any thought of dehydration you should drink atleast one gallon a day of water. Remember that a cup of coffee negates your water amount by 8 oz.. as does regular pop! also maybe massage your legs before going to bed to get circulation moving? if nothing helps then go to the doc. John has trouble with his legs sometimes, but it is tied to his diabetes

ditto what tracy said about the leg. once i started eating more potassium, my charley horses dramatically decreased.

i drink usually at least 3L of water and i don't drink coffee ever and i have a diet coke maybe twice a month.... the only times i really feel its from dehyrdration is if i drank the night before (i can have one beer and i have worse than usual pain for days) ...massaging definately helps sometimes, it just feels like i can move my leg the slightest bit and i get an instant charley horse or my foot cramps... one leg is feeling better this morning but the other is still feeling very heavy and numb :ugh: i already take a multi-vitamin + 4 iron pills everyday.. but maybe i could look into adding a a potassium supplement if the bananas don't work?? i'm not even really sure what else is high in potassium.. hmmm

ugh I've had no water today so far :( in our office (there are 5 of us) we rotate buying a case of water to share. The girl whos turn it is is off today and were out! I have my water bottle in my car which is like a mile from this office and its pouring :( but i will get it out of my car on lunch and fill it with the brita and start chugging. its actually easier to get water in using that bottle then the .5L bottles!

today was a blah day for me fr following a structure. I woke up and did dishes this morning, then bummed around, and just wasnt hungry. We went to my parents for my dads bday and went out to eat. I had a salad and chicken french. For dessert I brought my two layer pumpkin pie (3pts a piece). so I am sure I stayed within my goal calorie/points. but i ate like 3 hrs ago and still feel full so im worried about wi :mad: I guess we shall see in the morning!

Sigh according to my scale, i gained .6 this week. i saw 173.2 many times this week, but it decided to not show up this morning.
I am 100% commited again this week! I am going to start going to the gym this week, shooting for 3 days a week, if more then great!

my day was so-so.. points wise was great even with an unplanned mcdonalds visit, i got a chicken mcgrill and a side salad so it was only 9 points... work was soo busy.. i've only got in 1.5L of water so far, i'm working on the rest still.. other than that TOM came and i'm feeling and looking super bloated.. i worked hard to stay OP but i wouldn't be surprised if i gain a lot this week, stupid tom!! :ugh:

wohoo way to stay on top of mcdonalds! You rock! I wanted to go there today but i knew i wouldnt make good choices and i really want this to be a 100% week for myself. The new scale seems to be weighing me more then the old scale, but when i put the 10 lbs weight on them, the old scale says 10.4 repetatively and the new one says 10.0 so i dont know, guess maybe im stnding different? 5 more days til i wi! 2 for you! you can do it girl!

I feel GREAT right now!! I went to work out a little after 10 (i love the 24 hr gym freedom!) and got in a great workout burned 300 calories, and stayed in my target heart range the whole time. I feel energized and refreshed! And I know I will sleep like a baby!!
Oh and I got in another Liter! 4 total today wohooooo :workout:

I feel GREAT right now!! I went to work out a little after 10 (i love the 24 hr gym freedom!) and got in a great workout burned 300 calories, and stayed in my target heart range the whole time. I feel energized and refreshed! And I know I will sleep like a baby!!
Oh and I got in another Liter! 4 total today wohooooo :workout:WOW!!! that is a whole lot of awesomeness... you are doing so great tracy, i can't wait for your WI this week :)

Today is pretty unplanned unfortunately. I am pretty much out of healthy stuff at home, so it will be a fly by the seat of my pants day. I am going to go to the grocery store on my lunch and get some fruits for snacks like some honeycrisp apples, bananas and maybe some kiwi.

Sigh we did end up going to PF's. I had a small breakfast (oatmeal) then we went there around 3pm. We got the Lettuce wraps (750 cal, so half for me 375), and the honey crisp chicken (500 cal for me) with brown rice (175 for me). So yeah Most my points/calories were spent on it, but i was seriously filled allllll day. I had hot cocoa at night (120) and a few cookies, so I was right around 1500 cal, So i was fine. But my stomach definately is not used to eating that much cuz I felt so gross and huge the rest of the day. Next time I am having a smaller meal. I got about 2L of water in (i left my 1L water bottle at Yankee, grrrrr!)
Yeah I am still in for crunches! Doing some tonight! The scale has looked good, showing low 173's, so I am hoping to see atleast a 1lb loss come Sunday morning! Thank Goodness I have you!

Yeah I need to learn to stay off of it so much. I think I might return the new one... I just dont get it. I put them on the same floor surface, but the same 10lbs on them right? the old one, always reads 10.4 so it reads HEAVIER by .4 fine. The new one always says exactly 10 right? so if anything, when i get on them, the old one should have me heavier by .4lbs. But no. Everytime i get on the new one, i am hevier on that one! by like 1.5lbs! its such a weird thing. I love the scale, but not if its out of whack? Like I would understand if my old scale was wrong and not reading heavy enough, but with the 10lb weight, it weighs to heavy! arrrgh!

Sigh well i had forgotten yesterday was John's Uncles Name Day (its a Greek thing) So we went over there for dinner which sent me into a panic because his grandma is not one for healthy cooking. I ended up having a small piece of steak and a big salad with v&o and feta with 5 homemade french fries. We left at 10:15 and had every good intention of going to the gym, but I was just beat and havent been feeling great these past 2 days myself, so we called it a night. I felt like i cheated or something, and was dissapointed in myself, but i think I was still OP. I havent sat down to figure that out yet.

I'm glad you are feeling a little better. I feel freakin bloated or something right now. I have felt skinny allllll week, and the scale showed it. I have been really good, even with water, and now today, I feel HUGE. Luckily I weigh in Sunday (not tomorrow ;) ) but now I am worried that after all my effort ill have like a .2lb loss. Sigh we shall see. I am definately going to the gym tonight!

Ok I am upset. I know, I should stay off the scale until wi day. but for me, each morning shows me where i am at and is motivation. I have been as perfect as I could be all week. Probably one of my best weeks on the program. I had no pop, no crap breakfasts (minus fruit loops) I ate healthy when we did go out, I got atleast 2L, often 4L, of water in. Things looked great up until Yesterday. I got on in the morning- 174.0. Mind you on wed, it said 173.2... Ok, so still showing a small loss, but weird... Get on this morning, 174.4! wtf! I am afraid for wi tomorrow now because after all my hard work, ill have no loss, even though in the middle of the week i did? I am on the ring, and I take it out tomorrow to get my period, would that explain this? is this a 'temporary' gain? Its really unmotivating though. I know I sound childish but I thought I was done with struggling. Im not trying to lose 2 or 3 lbs a week, I would just like to be able to lose 1Lb a week. My Christmas goal is approx 9lbs from where i am now, and its a little less then 8 weeks away. I set my goal like 7 weeks ago! why cant I lose 10 lbs in 15 weeks??? Argh ok its out of my system now. I am dangerously close to the mentality of, hey eat the good stuff, you'll weigh the same either way... :mad: :confused: :ugh:

so i had planned to go out last night and have a few beers so i had 4 points planned for that.. plus i needed another 2 points so i was going to have a small snack before i went out.... well, i guess i still wasn't feeling well and i fell asleep sometime around 9ish.. so my day ended at 16.5 points.. yikes! today is not looking great either.. i woke up super sick in the middle of the night, just the thought of eating food is making me feel sick now.. ugh :ugh:

thanks for the encouragement, i went through and added up my calories/points and im right at a 3500 deficit (500 cal a day avg) so tech i should lose a pound, but i dont think will happen. But atleast I know I ate right.
I think my thing is that my snacks are healthy but maybe i need healthier choices for dinner and lunch? who knows!

Ugggh all i can think is that my period is causing this, but i was an animal this morning with food. First, i woke up and had a krispy kreme donut that my mother had sent home with me last night. I had told myself they were just for john and i didnt need any. Well i must of changed my mind in my sleep, sigh. THEN to be nice i stop and get cider and donut holes for my office. Again telling myself, i wont have any. Well i did. And im still not satisfied. My night last night wasnt much better. i had 2 krispy kremes, but then a healthy dinner of pork tenderloin, carrots, potatoes. SIGH I am so mad at myself. I have obviously discovered a trigger food. Then to top it all off, I was supposed to go to the gym, but fell asleep on he couch waiting for john to get home to go.
Today is a new day and im not about to take on the attitude of 'oh ill start again tomorrow' this day is still salvageable and i WILL go to the gym tonight. We dont get trick or treaters at the apt so im fine!

As long as i am really good the rest of this week i think i will be ok. I think part of it is, I am waiting for my freaking period. I took the ring out sunday and thought it would be here by now! Sigh. Then I think some of this bloat will go away, but i know I also need to drink a ton of water too. I loved being on the ring this past month, the only thing that sucked was that I got a horrible headache all day yesterday that Midol or Advil didnt touch, i think it was tied to the taking out of the ring, but its ok, ill take it! Dinner ended up being chicken nuggets from mcdonalds cuz i was famished driving home from work. I ordered the mcnuggets meal for me and the crispy chicken sandwich for john. Well when I got home, they had given me the wrong thing for him, so i split my nuggets with him, which was better for me anyways! Here is how the day ended up, AND i went to the gym!!

Eh I am here. I dont know how I feel about today. You know how some weeks you work hard, and you get a scale peak and its so motivating? Well every morning I do the scale peak to see where I am at (im not scale obsessed, i completely understand that the only one that matters is the weekly one, i simply use the daily as a gauge for motivation). Well other then halloween, I have been having good days, getting in the water went to the gym once... and the stupid scale keeps going up. Granted I have my period and stuff but come on. I hate this because now I feel all down and get SO close to the F-IT attitude. I know that attitude gets me no where, i just hate it. WI is only 2 days away and I KNOW I wont see a loss and will def see a gain. I know, keep on trucking and do better each day but its just so discouraging. I would swear my body likes to hang out in the mid 170's but I had that point earlier in the year when I got down to about 165, so I know that is a lie. I need to find a way to really commit to myself. I need groceries, thats always when I fall downhill when I dont have healthy choices to bring with me each day. I also need to go to the f-ing gym. I have like 3 weeks left to my membership, why not use it to the fullest. I dont know what I am going to do about signing back up. Its 35-45 bucks a month to sign back up. Sucks when last year I got it for $150 for the whole year :ugh: I just dont know if its worth it to rejoin if I cant get myself to go... I hate myself right now..

HUGS!!!!!!!!! i'm sorry your having such a rough day tracy... i totally hear you on the grocery thing, it's so hard to stay OP when you have to get creative with the food you have.. maybe you can try focusing on next week's WI.. it's not to late to turn things around.. keep working at it and maybe you won't see the number on the scale change this week but can get a head start on the next week.. as for the gym, maybe if you can't find time to get to a gym what about working out getting your workouts in at home? you could pick up some dumbells and maybe invest in a new tape to get you motivated.. i hate seeing you so down, i wish i could come hang out and cheer you up!! hang in there hun, you're not alone.. i'll do whatever i can to help you through this :buddysmoo

Tracy~ It looks like you're doing great with the calories, healthy 8's and water... but you seem to be eating the same stuff every day. I would try shaking it up a bit. Also, keep moving! Well I wi this morning and I gained, just .8 thank goodness. I am ready to be 110% this week. I just want to be out of the 170s!!!
My Goals This week:
- drink a minimum 3L a day. I bought 2 new 1L bottles that are filled and ready to go in the fridge.
- Go to the gym 3 days a week (preferably 4 but we will try for 3 atleast)
- Grocery shop today and buy enough stuff to keep me going allll week.
I want to lose atleast 1lb this week, and thats aiming low!

update:
went grocery shopping and spent freakin $70 bucks, but im stocked up for probably 2 weeks now! I have breakfast, snacks, lunches, veggies for dinner, my vfusion, i got it all! I try to stick to 24 pts plus 5 flex each day, so about 30 pts a day, so I am still in the same mentality as you all :)

generally one point is APPROXIMATELY 50 cal. so 100 cal would =2 pts. I have the habit of keeping calories in mind, then at the end of the day dividing by 50 to estimate points.

you may be short-changing yourself by counting calories only if you eat a lot of high fiber, low fat foods, which is why I think the 'points slider' and the points equation is pure genius. whatever works for you though, and it sounds like your nutritionist is giving you good feedback.

I agree that for most people the points work. I followed points religiously for 6 months and couldnt lose. I finally chose to go to a nutrionist, prepared with my journal, and found out i was only eating about 1,000-1100 calories a day, which will convince your body your 'starving'. I took her advice, and kept my calories between 1200-1500 from march til the end of april and lost 10 lbs. I keep the main ideas and values of WW because I know many people who have succeeded with it, this just happens to be the way I lose, by eating a little more and using every flex. :)

Yes! Glad you are back. How mean is your scale? did you try peeing or something to see the 160's? hehe. But congrats on the loss. I am doing ok. I seem to have a problem sticking to what I plan to eat sigh. I think this stems from the fact of me never wanting to wake up in the morning. The week when I was back and lost almost 2 lbs, I was making my self get up earlier, planning foods, bringing my lunch or gettin a healthy one, and getting in my water. I seem to be struggling with water and planning, and working out! I am going to the gym tonight and tomorrow, so that will be 3 times in a week, which is better then the previous 1 day a week ha. I need to get on track!

The Vegatble medley one is only 100 cals and has 4 grams of fiber. It's only 1 pt and it's pretty good. You should try that one if you haven't already.

My day was ok. the scale is showing 173.0 consistently tho. I was supposed to go for lunch today at Red Robin because theyre opening one here and i got a sneak peak pass to eat for free. However, i dont trust myself to do good and I need to so I told John he didnt have to come meet me today (his car is being looked at cuz last night he ran over someones spare tire in the middle of the road, so he wouldnt be able to make it to meet me anyways unless his real old car happened to start). I was ALSO supposed to go tomorrow again (i got 2 passes) with the girls from work but I just told them I dont think ill be going. That is a huge thing for me to turn down free food, but I have to if I want any hope of maintaining or seeing a loss. I filled my water bottle this morning and drank some on my way to work. I have 3/4L down so far.
I have to work at yankee tonight but I am thinkin I will go to the gym when I get home because I havent been going. I dont know how to find the motivation to freaking go. sigh.

Today is hard. I had to pick up Johns sister and take her to school cuz her cousin who usually gives her a ride totalled his car. Then I have to pick her up when she is done, which is my lunch time, and take her back home which is a 25 min drive each way. Some where in that time I have to get some healthy lunch. I could TRY to swing by the apt and make a sandwich to bring back to the office and grab a banana and some grapes. Techniquely i dont have a time I need to be back, because I'm the boss and I am salary... I guess thats my best option. I SHOULD just take a half day instead of driving back and forth. I'd get back at the office at like 3, just to leave it again 2 hours later.
ok im done rambling. No excuses, this is my journey and I determine how well it goes right?

So did you celebrate American Thanksgiving? How did it go? Mine went well. We had dinner with Johns family. I had a smallll piece of turkey, a small piece of ham, small portions of corn and mashed potatoes and salad. No bread! Yay. Then I had coffee while some of them had dessert cuz we were going to be heading to my parents for dessert and I wasnt going to eat it twice. Got to my parents, had my 2 layer pumpkin pie and a smidgen of buffalo wing dip. I got on the scale this morning and it showed low 171, so I am hoping that if I am good today and tomorrow, Sunday should look ok.

I got a shot glass checkers set at target for one of Johns cousins for xmas, and a new calendar for work, and the new xmen movie at target for like 8 bucks. Then i went back home and showered and headed here to work. Then I have to go to Yankee from 6-10:30! I will have been up from 3am til 11pm! Poor John has been at work since 3:30 and will probably be there til midnight or later. Retail jobs suck!

I made a bad choice for breakfast which consumed 1/2 my calories for the day :( but I am still keeping track and when I get home I am cleaning out the fridge, writing a grocery list and getting the bare essentials I need to be able to have breakfast in the mornin and to make lunch to bring to work with me and some snacks. i was down 2lbs this morning.. i just checked, and it means i've lost exactly 6lbs since we started our challenge, that is amazing for me!! before i hadn't really made any progress since june other than going up and down the same few lbs over and over... yeahhhhhh!!, thanks buddy :buddysmoo

That is AWESOME!!!! :headover: :headover: :crazy: :exercise2 I am so proud of you! While my losses havent been as good as yours, I am so greatful for this thread cuz I need this motivation. This week I dont feel good, I was to broke for groceries, and my period is coming any minute, but instead of just saying 'forget it' and eating what ever junk there is, I worked hard and made the best of it cuz of YOU! :)

I bought groceries last night with a check so I could have food instead of waiting until my paycheck goes in tonight! Not a smart thing to do, but I needed to have healthy options!
