Online, they only have points for a small honey bourbon Quiznos sub (it's on the lite menu and DELISH!) I can't find nutritional info anywhere for the regular size sub. Do you guys think it would be a fair estimate to say it's about 1.5 of a small sub and calculate points as such? I might go for dinner with a friend and want to plan my options in advance :)

I think 9 points would be a good guess -- maybe 10 points to be on the safe side...

Yah, that's what I would do. Estimate the the regular is 1.5 of the small.

I am certainly no expert, but I think that is the way that I would count it! Enjoy your lunch!!

When I put 1.5 of the small into the tracker on etools, it comes up at 9 so I'll go with that. I just wasn't sure if I was under estimating with 1.5 so I appreciate your answers. Thanks girls!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the better multipler the use is 1.78.
It took a while to find, but on Calorieking.com, under the Quizno's Items, you will find many subs listed. But for an Italian it lists the sandwich sizes as a small as 4.5" and regular as 8" and a large as 12". Sandwich legths are the same regardless of filling.
So,
8/4.5 = 1.78 means 13 pts for a Regular Honey Bourbon Chicken.

thanks kev. i ran it through as 1.75 servings and came up with 11 pts. how did you end up with 13? what nutritional info did you use? i know you use a slightly higher ratio by using 1.78, but it shouldn't be a two point difference for .03, right?

In Calorieking.com it listed with Quizno's published NI for the small. I entered 1.78 as the servings totals and did the WW PT Formula and got 12.87

maybe i'll just count it as 12 then. ww's site has it at 11 and calorie king has it at 13 so i'll take the average. it's weird b/c when you look at the two lined up, a small and a regular really aren't that different in size (it definately has never looked like double the size when I've gone). I should go there and order and go home and measure my bread one day and see how much i'm really ggetting. i suspect i've never gotten a 4.5 inch small sub. they always look more like 6 inches. maybe i'll jsut stick to a small for dinner. seems like that should be counted as 1.5 a small anyway, lol.

Kimmi, what about a small sub and then adding the small side salad (0 points) to help fill you up and get in those veggie servings? The Fat Free Red Wine Vinaigrette is only 1 point for 2 Tbsps. Then dinner will be only 7-8 points.

It's been a while since I've gone, but I'm with you--the size difference seems off to me too. I like your "scientific" approach best--Measure the breads and find out. Quizno's publishes the NI for the small sandwich, but never tells you the exact size.

that's probably what i'll do. although i am so not a fan of the red wine vinaigrette from there. or maybe i'll just be a brat and convince my friend to go to the applebees or subway that's in the same complex, muahhaha! then i can know what i'm eating for real and save the quiznos for a day when i feel like doing advance trig, lol.
adn kev - i hate that. a lot of places, ww site and books included, just call things a serving. what the heck is a serving? how much is a serving? even an approximation would be a huge help to get an idea. i had no clue a small was even supposed to be that small.

You can always bring a bottle of wishbone spritzer or one of your other favorite WW-friendly dressings! I never thought, I'd be one of those people, but my the contents of my purse is strating to look more and more like they belong in a lunchbox these days.

Small is 7 points... That's like 8 inches I think? So I would call the regular 9-10 points based on the regular being 50% bigger than the small. That's without extra sauces or mayo and whatnot, of course.

i have had the hardest time trying to find points for Quizno's. when i tried to find their website, the first hit i had was to a site that talked about how there wasn't really any nutritional information available from them, and then a site where you could send them an email about it.
does anyone know where you can find info for this food? i thought i read that someone said a site called calorieking.com.....what is that?

lisa - i know, it's so freaking delish!
so i was a brat and convinced my friend to go to applebees and i ordered off the ww menu :) she actually was happier there too, so alls well that ends well.
but i still will be investigating quiznogate further. i want to know how long those smalls are now! i'll try in a few weeks and plan it in for lunch.

kimmi girlllllllllll quiznos points always seemed way too high for me to comtemplate even eating......
anyhow, just be safe and count it as 13, seeing as how 12.87 is closer to 13 than 11. REGARDLESS, enjoy your dinner with your friend, and YAY! for researching ahead of time!!!

actually i did, lol. i forgot to post the findings...but i went with my bf during the holidays. it was definately just about 6" for a small (and i got laughed at for measuring). so that's 1.5 inches more than advertised. but i noticed the guy took the large and cut it in half...so that explains why it's more like 6 inches and less like 4.5. clearly, that's probably not what you are supposed to do...or cut the 12 into 3 sandwiches, not 2. that was just one time that i went..but everyone i saw that ordered a small got 1/2 a large. so..at least at my quiznos....you get duped if you order a small.

at my quiznos, they put the entire loaf of bread on a cutting board that has pre-measured indicators on it. like little lines on the cutting board, which shows the employee where to cut if its a small/reg/large. unlike at subway where they just eyeball it. does every quiznos do it this way? ive only been to the one by my house.

i don't know if they have a pre-measured cutting board...but they sure didn't cut it right, haha. i'll have to look and see if the board had the actual measurements next time i go.

they do the pre-measure thing by me (nyc).
As for the points .. if a small is a certain amount .. and your getting the regular .. all i ever did was double it. BTW a small cup of there creamy broccoli soup is i think 3 points .. WELL WORTH IT!

When I was at my Quiznos this Sunday the had the same marked grooves in cutting board to indicate the length each size should be. Take a look next time when they're cutting the bread.
