Somedays, I just don't have time to make a shake so I drink one of those WW smoothies (the premade yogurt ones you get at the grocery store) for a 1 point dairy serving. I don't really like em much, but I dislike most dairy and they are so convenient.

Yesterday, I tried to "jazz" them up a bit and was pleasantly surprised.

I used:

1 strawberry WW smoothie
2 TBL FF cool whip
Vanilla Davinci Syrup
6 or 7 ice cubes

I blended everything together in a blender.

I was amazed at how good it came out. It tasted more like a strawberry milkshake then a yogurt smoothie, and it was still only 1 point! It almost doubled the portion too which made it more filling.

That does sound good, I like the idea it stays at 1 point.

Sounds yummy ... Does anyone know how those compare with the packaged smoothie mixes that they sell at the WW meetings?

FYI...

I just tried this with the mixed berries version of the premade WW yogurt smoothies and it's no where near as good as it is with the strawberry.

I've only tried the WW powdered chocolate smoothies although I think the vanilla, with some Davinci syrups in it might be better. The chocolate is ok if you doctor it up a bit, I put in FF cool whip and the Davinci Kahlua syrup and it's pretty good. Sometime I put in instant coffee as well.

I've also tried the Alba shakes which are cheaper than the WW but I can't get them in Florida. I brought home a few boxes when I was on vacation in MD but I'm almost out of those.

I snagged a recipe on here using powdered skim milk and unsweetened cocoa that was supposed to imitate the alba shakes but the first time I made it, it didnt come out so good so I'll have to try it again.

I'm always looking for 1 point shake type recipes cause I just HATE wasting points on dairy. (I dislike almost all dairy products, even ice cream believe it or not)
