I've been on this kick lately with iced coffee which is odd for me cause I was never a coffee drinker. We have the Godiva Vanilla Hazelnut flavored coffee at work and with some splenda I really like it. So I had started mixing the coffee with a pkg of 25 calorie SF cocoa and letting it cool then pouring over ice. But then I thought for a few more calories I could make it with 1 pkg Alba Shake Mix (http://www.albadrinks.com/products/index.php) and it would count as a dairy. You could also use the WW Chocolate Smoothie mix.

I blend the Alba with about a cup of water and some Davinci SF syrups. I vary the flavors but cookie dough gives it a nice twist. Then I pour that and a big cup of cold coffee over ice in my 32 oz mug and I have a huge iced coffee that gets in a dairy serving and only cost me one point!

omg .. this sounds wonderful!! i am *definately* going to try this. The pineapple soda (using the SF Davinci) that you told me about before has been my summer time GO-TO refreshing break recipe!! This may seriously combat it tho! i adore iced coffee and iced lattes!!

The idea of smoothies just sounds SO good right now .. funny, about 2 weeks ago i found myself thinking "I like to eat my points not drink them" .. but lately i've been looking at all kinds of yummy smoothie recipes, and have asked one of my friends to pick up a WW vanilla smoothie mix for me when she goes to WI on Monday.

I've seen various recipes with the Alba, SF/FF pudding mixes, WW smothie mixes ... which do you like best?

Barb, I haven't tried any of the smoothies with FF/SF Pudding. But I like both the Alba and the WW chocolate mixes. I get the Alba cause it's cheaper.

Joanne~
Sounds like a delicious recipe. I'm going to try it later this afternoon! I have a lot of the DaVinci syrups, as a matter of fact I just picked up two more at Sam's Club this week. My favorite syrup however is SF California Almond from a company called Stirling. We bought it when we were Upstate last month. I want to try more of their flavors, but can't seem to find them any where on Long Island. I wrote to them about ordering on line and paying by check, but they never answered me. I hate when companies don't respond to your inquiries. Anyway, I ramble, thanks for posting this!

Hi there;

MT -- I'm in up-state NY..Where did you get the almond syrup that you liked so much????
Joanne--- I'm moving to Texas so I can come by you to eat. You should open a restaurant!!! We will all be there! But a question. DId you use vanilla or chocolate Alba with the iced coffee??? As you can tell I have NO imagination with what the outcome would be, I could only imagen it with vanilla not the chocolate.
ANYONE----have any idea where to FIND ALBA!!! I did just drop them an e-mail and if not I'm gonna order by mail.
Thanks everyone

Hi EmmaJean. I use the chocolate because I like it better. I'm not a big fan of vanilla. I get my Alba at Kroger here in Texas. I'm not sure where it would be in NY.

EmmaJean~
I bought it at Wegman's outside of Binghamton (not sure if that is Johnson City because I don't know my way around up there). It was on display under the fresh brewed coffee bar, to the right when you first walk in. I love the SF California Almond, and have not tried the SF Rocky Mountain Hazelnut yet. I can't wait for November when we go back up there. I already have a small shopping list ready!!

Hi again MT;

I'll be heading that way to go to "THE BEST" CHinese Buffet so I'll go to Wegmans. Actually like me explain why its the BEST buffet. They have a station where you take all your own meats, veggies and sauces and they wok it together for you with NO added fat if you tell him. SO I do that and it's great. I put in about 2 cups of lo mein noodles then PILE on the veggies, add a small amt of either chicken or the fish they have then about 2 tablesppons (even less) of the hot sauce....I think it comes out great. And if I feel like really treating myself I get 1/2 cup of there hard ice-cream ..... Boy did I ever get off track!!

I tried your mocha-chino recipe and liked it so I decided to try making a smoothie in the same manner. I used 1 cup of water and the Alba mix, put in some Amaretto SF DaVinci syrup, added left over coffee from b'fast, added ice and blended. Voila, a thick micha-chino smoothie. Very good! And as you said counts as a dairy.

Wow---that sounds great to a smoothie. If I keep drinking all this coffee I better switch to decaf. I'm gonna try it with WW CHoc mix, coffee, ice Davinci Raspberry blend and----a smoothie!!!

I can not wait to try that. I love mocha smoothies. I usually buy them at the gym and they cost me 4 dollars each. Maybe I can save some money also.

I was doing a big home improvement project with my mom over the weekend and we drank these both days, they were delicious! I made a pot of coffee on Saturday and cooled it and used it all weekend. Thanks for the tip!

What is this recipe for pineapple soda with the Davinci Syrup?
Just use the 0 calorie club soda, add a couple splashes of the SF Davinci pineapple syrup. This is all 0 points thus far. Then add 1 serving of the lower fat ice cream. The brand i currently have in the freezer is 1 point for 1 serving. It is WONDERFUL. You could even add a little dollop of Cool Whip Free on top!
