What else do you use them for except making shakes?

Check out the sticky thread on the Appetizers and Beverages Forum. There are tons of ideas in there if you read through the whole thing. I use them anywhere I'd use Splenda or want to change the flavor. I use them in milk, yogurt, oatmeal, cream of wheat, coffee, tea, italian sodas, snow cones, the list goes on and on.

Just found them today at TJ Maxx. Got the Caramel, Chocolate, Kahlua. Got home and DH took the caramel with fresh strong coffee & 2 T protein powder + icecubes in the blender. YUMMY and very refreshing!!
we're hooked.

You know, so many people talk about DaVinci brand syrups. I've tried them. I've tried several flavors. And they're not bad, but I'm not impressed. I have to say, Monin brand kicks DaVinci's tuckus. They don't have as many sf/ff flavors as DaVinci yet, but that line is growing. If you like DaVinci, give Monin a try. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

You can buy them direct online at www.davincigourmet.com and many other online sites. Some SuperWalmarts, Krogers and Albertsons have one or two flavors in the coffee aisle. TJMaxx and Marshalls sometimes carry a limited selection as well. Cost Plus World Market carry the Torani brand which is just as good IMO but doesn't have as many flavors. Some coffee houses and "lo-carb" stores carry them as well, but generally I've found them to be more expensive than buying online even with shipping.

I buy my monin syrups (which I also prefer over Torani) at either Fry's Electronics (wierd, I know ;-) ) or at AJ's Fine Foods. It's a lot cheaper at Fry's Electronics than it is at AJs. You can also do a google search and find a number of online sources. The Monin website is http://www.monin.com/ .

Ok, I'm ridiculous.
Just spent $20 at World Market on Toriani syrups. I got two small bottles of vanilla and caramel, two large ones of almond and irish creme. I got the target brand of hazelnut so now i can have my nutty irishman coffee (irish creme, hazlenut) and experiment with the rest.
And so it begins... lol.

I just bought the Irish Creme flavor to use in my coffee. I'm sorry to say I was totally UNIMPRESSED :(

I have too agree- the syrups are too strong for me, but many seem to like them.

I think they're good w/ club soda and ice. I use them when I find myself drinking too much diet pop.
