Since I have a great husband who, among other things, is willing to cook for us since he is home from work before we are I have started our own recipe book. Morris Press makes a great software that is downloadable. It is intended for their publication, but you don't have to do that. There are also other great softwares as well.
Anyway, the advantage....
We have a book of recipes of stuff that WE like that is on computer, can be printed, can be emailed to family/friends, and recipes can easily be added or deleted. There are great recipes on this site and others as well.
Do any of you do something similar to keep track of things you like and so you don't have the same ol' thing every night. How boring!! Variety is key for me!
Thanks! And, bunches of blessings to all!!!!!!!!!!:D

Yes, I do something similar, but just with folders and a looseleaf book. I print up the recipes that I like from many different sites and separate them into catagories ( desserts, entrees, sides, etc.) and put each catagory in a folder. Then when I want a new recipe, I look through the folder and pick what I want. When I pick and make a recipe that both DH :buddysmoo (he is doing WW as well) and I like, I put it into a looseleaf binder so I have it forever. My looseleaf is so thick now that I have to branch off into separate looseleafs for each catagory. I always like to make different things to keep the program from getting stale. It makes it more interesting. We do have our favorites however! Good luck to you!

Yes .... i have Mastercook on my pc at home ... so i'm able to store recipes there that i've collected, and mark which are "TNT" - tried and true.
It's a great help!
The recipes here are wonderful. I've collected some of my best from Cybergranny! My DH states i spend way too much time on the PC and with my recipes!! But he likes the results! ;)

I do the loose leaf thing too. I have found a lot of recipes on the Internet by searching for low fat recipes. I copy them from the site and put them into a Word document and then print them. Putting them into a Word document allows me to makes changes to them. Also, that way, if something gets spilled on it, I can reprint it. It also makes it easy to email it to someone to share it with.

I have a Christian message board that I own, often I will sotre recipes in the recipe forums there for future use.
I also stick them in word and make a cookbook that way. I seperate them into main dishes, salads etc and print them out once a year or so. My family loves getting a copy of them! They made the BEST Christmas presents one year.

I also use a binder "system". I print out things that sound good, 3-hole punch them and put them into the binder. Lots of times (especially if there are lots of variations to a recipe) I will e-mail a recipe to myself, along with the url and then print it out and put it in the binder. I save the recipes to a folder in OE. That way when I get around to trying one, I have the link to reference if need be (if there is a step or ingredient missing or I have a question, etc.). If it turns out to be something we really like, I copy & paste it into the word processor and add any notes about changes I may have made, print it out and it goes into a plastic page protector in a favorite recipes binder that is sorted by category.

I too have my own recipe book. I bought a photo album and put my recipes in the photo pages. That way if I spill something on them they are protected. I just print off recipes that I like and put them in there. If I try something that doesn't suit us I just throw that recipe away.

I input all my recipes into Mastercook. But then I used WORD and created my own cookbook of 200 recipes. My daughter did all of the artwork. I had the local print shop bind it for me and I gave them away as presents (probably close to 50 over the last few years) My first creation was just family favorites that I created for my daughter and sons as they were just leaving home and didn't want something to complicated.
