Well, I got home from my trip this afternoon. Thankfully, we didn't have to spend 4 hours in the Chicago airport, but got a new routing!

Anyway, dh and dd met me at the airport. That was cool. And, then I got home. Of course I couldn't wait to get on the scale...I know, I shouldn't have. But, with so much walking :work_out: and eating so little (most of the time) I wanted to see how much I had gained or lost...or neither. Well, according to the scale here at home, I lost 3.5 pounds since Wednesday. Is that possible?

I think the walking really did it. Now I need to continue to do it at school after the kids go home. I've got the perfect indoor place and the perfect outside spot when it gets nicer. Maybe it was the new shoes I got?!!!:jump_jack

Thank you for all your support. Keep me pumped and motivated!

Oh, it was great that I didn't have to lay down on the bed to zip and button my jeans that had just been washed!!! Anyone, remember that great trick! They are still a bit tight, but not painted on around my middle.

Wishing you all a great and blessed day!!

P.S. For some reason, this site is more friendly than the official site. Seems like more down to earth folk like me. Oh, it could just be me too...gotta run to the grocery store!

Exercise definitely helps. Be careful not to let that scale rule the way you feel about how successful you were. That weight may level out before you get to your next WW meeting, esp if you start eating a little more....

Congratulations! It can be SO hard to stay OP when you're away from home, either for work or on vacation. It sounds like you did a GREAT job! :bcbsalute

Whether it's possible to actually lose that much weight since Wednesday or not, is another matter. Our weight can fluctuate up and down for SO many different reasons throughout the week. Just like the scales can show a gain when we've been OP, it can also show a bigger loss than we actually have at times (grinning - tho i know that *i've* personally never complained about that!!~! ;) ) I've read that in order to lose 1 pound of fat, you need to expend 3500 calories more than you take in. That would be 12250 calories more burned than taken in since Wednesday .. a pretty big feat! WHen i've lost *big* one week, i've often maintained or lost little the next week ... the body tends to even out ... and i've started to try to look not so much at the individual numbers for a weekly weigh in, but in my total results, and in knowing that i was OP.

But most importantly, whether or not on your official WI day, if you've lost that 3.5, more or less, the most important thing to celebrate is being OP ...

One thing that you wrote re: "Eating so little" concerned me. It isn't necessarily good for you! You have to fuel your body in order for it to function and to lose weight. Hopefully you were still able to get your minimum points and your healthy 8's in, and you meant more that you didn't go off program.

Re: this site .. you're right. BCBuddies are some of the greatest people around ... they give support, advice, kicks (when needed), hugs and always accountability! this place is awesome!!

Thanks for letting us know how the trip went!

Congrats on a successful trip! A loss of 3.5 pounds is great anytime, but even better when you are away from home! Keep up the good work!

Thanks guys. I won't let the scale be the determining factor. I was just curious about my few days away. I really hate the scale so will let the kind WW lady do the dreaded job. And, yes, I did eat. I just was really careful to not eat things like fries and bread/buns, and fried stuff but stuck as close as I could to program without the ability to cook for myself.

I guess the exercise thing has motivated me to do it more often. Many times I make the excuse that I don't have time. Home from school, supper, homework, bath, bed (for dd) and then by then I'm beat. Forget the early morning hours! So, I'll walk at school before I come home to the rat race here.

Okay, enough about me!

Thanks to everyone for the replies and the continued support.
