I started WW on January 28 (Saturday) at a whopping 290.2 pounds, the heaviest I have ever been and ever want to be! My first weigh in a week later, I dropped 6 pounds. Then I had to have a short week because I had to come to Nashville, TN for a conference from Thurs. - Sun. So on my Wed. weigh in the week after my previous Saturday weigh in, I had already lost another pound. That was really a motivating factor for me since I wasn't sure how I was going to do weighing in four days early and in the evening rather than in the morning. (I love our 8:00 am Saturday morning meetings!) So far so good.
I've been relatively good since we've been here. Fortunately we have had to do a lot of walking every day...brisk walking to get from one session to another. And, I even felt good when the skinny girl coming up the steps told her friend that she didn't know if she could take all the walking up and down the steps because her legs were starting to hurt. And, here is me, the fat girl, handling things well...no tired legs, looking forward to the walks, etc. I thought to myself, "What a wus!" Anyway, everything is going well, except for the brownie I ate. I forgave myself for that and patted myself on the back for not digging into the M&M's my roomie keeps offering me!!!
In a nut shell...I need to be healthier, I'm NOT going to hit 300 pounds! The scale is going down from now on, not up. No more yo yo's; no more fad diets; no more not liking me.
This is a wonderful site! Thank you all for sharing your stories, your joys and disappointments. I look forward to reading more, sharing more, and making new friends.
Blessings!
