WV coal mine explosion

You may or may not have heard about the mine explosion here in WV, leaving 13 miners trapped. (You can find info @ www.cnn.com and the other news sites). They have been trapped underground for over 24 hours, with no response from the men. I do not know any of the men personally, but being both the wife and daughter of WV coal miners my thoughts and prayers are with these brave men and their families. Please pray for a miracle that they come out of this disaster alive & well, they need all the prayers they can get right now.

I too am from WV and have found that the support here for those families has been so great since the recovery of the bodies and Mr. McCloy. All my buddies on my thread so wonderfully PM or wrote in the thread. My DH is also a miner but above ground. I am thankful that some of the family members are already starting to heal. I think it is bc of the letters and knowing their loved ones just went to sleep. It is tragic and my hearts go out to all them. I did not know anyone who died. But since the they were found I have to try and not watch anymore about it and I really try not to talk about it much b/c as a miners wife it is just difficult for me. I am surprised though that you did not get more response as this was televised internationally.
