Flakes.. or rather *snowflakes* was our topic this week.

And "notice that snowflakes stick together to make something larger"

she talked about the importance of coming to the meetings (which really is the difference for me).

some folks.. this forum is the togetherness they need.. too

Well there are sure plenty of flakes at our WW meeting!
There are a few around here too. http://hoosierdaddys.homestead.com/BcB/wink3.gif (myself included)

Neat analogy - thanks for sharing this for those of us who do this at home!

A friend at work and I always talks about the momentum of a snowball as it rolls down hill. You can stop it initially, fairly easily .. but once it gets started, it changes and gains momentum and a life of its own ... (of course IT gets bigger and bigger, but we're getting smaller!)

That sounds intereting when yo uthink about it...I unfortunately missed this week because I got my wisdom teeth taken out and was on pain killers for a few days, so it's nice to catch up and feel in the loop even though I missed the WI and meeting last week.

:D

Oooo, litebrite! :sobbing: You'll feel better soon!

Our leader (in the flakey meeting) has us talk with a person we've never met for 2 minutes and we weren't allowed to talk about WW! It was kind of fun. She also had us hand out Bravo stickers to other members for help or ideas they'd given! That was fun too. I got one for being the sexiest broad in the place...just kidding of course. I got one for giving instructions on how to roast veggies. I told them I didn't invent the recepie!:embarrass

That was the theme at our meeting last Tuesday.
All snowflakes are different, as we all are. But when we all stick together....anything is possible.(just take a look at what all the snow is doing outside!!) Our leader encouraged us to reach out to each other for support whenever we needed it.
She also had us look under our chairs. She had the letters that spelled out "TEAMWORK" written on paper and taped under the chairs. It was a great meeting!!
This has been the most successful weightloss holiday season I have ever had. Normally I don't count points between Thanksgiving and New Years. This year I have lost 3 pounds since Thanksgiving!

Our leader handed out little slips of paper that had a snowflake on them. she had us break up into 3 groups. You then were to put one thing which YOU were struggling with in the center of the snowflake. Then you were to pass it to the person next to you and they were to give a piece of advice for that issue. By the time you got it back---you had 5 or 6 different pieces of advice to help you. Then we moved our seats back and one by one we read our struggle and then ONE of the answers that we felt would help us the most. It was very informative and it helped you to see that you weren't the only one struggling with something in particular and that there is more than one way to look at a situation. It was a refreshing look and the snowflake analogy definitely worked!

Too funny! http://hoosierdaddys.homestead.com/BcB/armygrins.gif We did the same thing.
Kinda corny, but there was a good message there.
