Hi veggies! I have been looking for other ww veggies for a long time. I usually post to the 20's board and there are really none there. So glad to have found a veggie home. Doesn't seem like there are many of us around. Anyway, here's my story. I am back again. 2 years ago I lost 20 pounds on ww. The year before that I lost 20 punds just working out and watching the food. Now I have put 30 pounds back on and need it off. I have been a veggie (not vegan, sorry) for almost 2 years now. I stopped eating meat when I found my Cholestorol at a very high level. I droped it 40 points just by cutting out the meat. I will eat eggs and dairy (organic) and the ocasional piece of fish. Basically I eat too many carbs and that's what got me here. I am getting back into the Wendie plan tomorrow so I can lose this weight before my HS reunion in April. So, anyway, that's me. What about you?

Hey Molly, I'm a working-on-becoming-veggie T20! So is Jenny (momofpugz). So is Sarah (PinkGlttr). This veggie thread is wonderful, but don't feel lonely over on the 20s board either!

Hello Molly,

Nice to hear from more veggies! I think lots of people are, but don't post much about it, as it is not very interesting to omnivores!

I have a similar history as you. When I was about 24 I lost about 40 lbs over 2 years, on my own, just by working out a lot and eating really low-fat, veggie and healthy.

I maintained that weight for about 5 years.... then I got divorced and stopped working out as much... gained back about 30 lbs. A few years later, I joined WW and have lost about 23 lbs so far. I would like to get back to 124, but I think I am more muscular now then I was back then. I used to only swim for exercise. I lost 40 lbs swimming, but got so bored that I started to do step aerobics, hike more, run, and use machines at the gym.

I am currently hovering around 129-131. I like how I look, and wear a size 4-6 pants. I think that that is pretty good, for me, but I may try to lose the tummy come nice weather.

Congrats on shifting to less meat. It is really good for you! I've been veggie since I was ten (my whole family shifted), so it is really just a lifestyle for me. I wouldn't change for the world!

Please join in on the weekly/daily thread!
