Hello,

Glad to see you here. As a teenager your points are different then an adult.

5'11'' is pretty tall for a 15 year old. Have you talked with your parents about joining WWs.? Have them find a meeting near you and go with you. As far as your points go you need to have 30 points and add 2 more for your age. (females under 16 and males under 19). Your also allowed a total of 35 flex points each week if you need them. You also are allowed daily AP (activity points. points that you earn from a workout):workout: . Learn the guidlines of WW. Thats why maybe going to a meeting will really get you started.

I don't know if your female or male, but you are doing something wonderful for yourself by taking these steps to get this weight off now. Believe me when I say that waiting when your older is so many times harder. As we get older our metabolism slows down and makes it harder to lose.

Good luck to you and have your parents join us to ask any questions that might help you on your journey.

Well rocafella99
glad your going to get a handle on it at your age. My biggest mistake in my life is not watching when younger. I yo-yo dieted for years, and not still there and am a Grandmother. So if I can pass anything worth repeating to you and you learn from it the words get it off now and keep it off. Join WW and get all the tools they offer. This time of year I think it is free sign ups and if you can't find one near you then use the on line e-tools. Stay with the program and get to your goal, don't let set backs or anything get you depressed about yourself. It will take you a while but worth the effort. Never let anyone discourage you and keep on track for ever now not till you get to a goal. This is a life time eating plan. Plan, plan, plan every meal and every party and you can do it. I would love to keep up with your progress, so keep on posting. This is the best free help in the world. I am not putting you on, I strayed away for a while when my daughter got cancer and ate crazy now paying the price. Didn't get her well but I did it and have to now get back into my routine. 2006 will be my year how about you?:) We are a team here, so keep posting.

 Why the "wishy-washiness" on your age???????? In a 10/20/05 post you said you were 17 years old. Then on a 10/21/05 post you said you were 16 years old. Now on 12/04/05 you are 15. At this rate you must be all of 10 years old by now. And to throw in an added mystery to everything your profile lists your birthdate as March 23, 1986. Now, I think my subtraction skills are pretty good and using that birthdate it would put you at 19 years old.

Whatever your age is please just be truthful about it. Why the lies? If you are young, you can still join weight watchers. You need to talk to your parents about it and have them take you to a meeting. Even though you are responsible for making choices of what goes into your mouth, I would imagine your mom will be doing a lot of cooking for you, so she needs to be aware of the program.
