Hey guys,
I was wondering if any of you feel the same way I do about activity points. I always figure out my AP's after i've earned them. But I don't keep the ecord around. I find myself trading activity points for food and when I do that I tend to over spend for lack of a better term. So for me it's better to earn the AP's but then just kinda forget about them.

Not that I know anything, but my tendency would be to downplay activity points a bit - at least until I get my weight a little more under control.
However, I have been taking CW's advice and making sure I use (nearly) all of my regular points.
I guess my question would be, "Does WW really figure your daily points allowances based on a complete sedimentary lifestyle?"
If yes, yikes! If you're big like me - 32 points really is a lot in a day.
If not, then I think a lot of my activity would fall into normal day-to-day activity (except when I wait tables).

I'm still trying to figure out APs myself. I journal with a PDA and it keeps a record of how many points I've earned. (but it doesn't specify HOW they were earned) I've been trying to eat most of them as I've read that's what we're supposed to do. (but sometimes I leave a couple uneaten just for good measure)
I think I'm going to get a notebook and keep a log of my walks and workouts. I also want to start taking some measurements so I can see the inches going away.

BTW, when I first saw this thread I thought it was going to be similar to Alrightguy's weekly weigh in thread. Maybe we could use it to report our APs and keep each other going. :bcbsalute

I don't know if I quite understand activity points correctly. My understanding is that as you earn activity points you can trade them point for point to eat extra food for the day. But it isn't necessary and in fact it is better for increased if you don't trade activity points for extra food all the time.

Yeah, that's pretty much what I gathered by reading the WW book too.
I've read quite a bit on this forum that you're supposed to eat all your APs. I know that it has worked for my wife, but I'm still a bit leary of eating more than my daily 32. I figure that everyone is different, so I'm just going to experiment a bit and see what works for me.
I'm sure CW will be along shortly to enlighten us. Or I'm sure the ladies in the WW & Exercise (http://www.healthdiscovery.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=32) Forum would have some good input too. :)

Todd - Do you use a Pocket PC program or a Palm OS based program?
I use my Dell Axim daily, but it runs Pocket PC and WW's On The Go program is only for the Palm
If anyone has any ideas on incorporating a Pocket PC version, that would be appreciated.

I have a Palm Pilot (Zire 31) and use a program called WWcalc. (it's free)

I've read there is a Palm emulator (http://www.styletap.com/) that will allow you to run WWcalc on a Pocket PC.
Or the WW program too I suppose. I can't say for sure.

The formula keeps us safe.... Food points are approx 50 cals
Activiy points cost about 100....
WW assumed that we might underestimate our food points and over estimate our exercise (imagine that). That makes it safe to use them.
If you are losing at the rate you like and not using them just be aware that our bodies will draw fuel from fat and muscle indiscriminately if we are not well fed.
