Default Saturday - (A day of breakthrough!)

    Good Morning!

I haven't even gone to bed yet! LOL It is just after midnight and I had to tell you that I kept my promise just in the nick of time! Hear that Jess? I did it! I stuck to it against all odds!

So today my prayer for each person in the Christians on WW group is to get a breakthrough in the area that they have been struggling. I am praying that today the light peeks through that darkness and we come out singing!

Attention all physical, mental, emotional and spiritual battles...we are praising God and pushing through! So as you wake up this morning know that you have already had prayers concerning your day. God bless everyone and have a victorious day in all ways. I'm pumped so I'm not going to bed right away... Talk to you all later!

Hello Laura, I am still up to with all kinds of excitment. I found this fourm that I can't get enough of.

I am having some struggle this week but it is ending a lot better than it started. I love being here with all of the people on the Christian WW page. I feel like anything is possible with God and I feel this awesome feeling that I found others like me. What a great night for me. I will pray for all of you as I know how we all have our struggles. I am looking forward to getting to know all of you on a very personal level.

Know that I do not even have to know you but I will be praying for all of you today. I want you all to have a very AWESOME Day!

I am so exhausted so right now posting personals is out of the question. I have had an emotional four days at work this week. And in class.

Started to feel better and then I have worn myself out. Plus today I find out that I have been exposed to the Mumps. I am not worried about myself because I have had three (3) Mumps Measle Rubella (MMR) vaccinations. So I would hope I am vaccinated good

What worries me is my babies and little ones in my care have been exposed.

There is also a situation with my main aide... I need prayer.. prayer that she will not see losing her job as a reason to not attend church. Unfortunately she just isn't working out and she and I are not a good fit. Plus I prefer the kiddo's do their own painting and coloring w/o being told how, it's not right, etc. Anyways.. enough of that...

I am staying home this weekend and putting the old nose into the books.. I am so behind on schoolwork it isn't even fu nny.. but my instructors are all really understanding and prayer works wonders.

Eating has been.. ho hum this week. I just don't have an appetite whatsoever. I hope to get that taken care of soon, along w/ the energy to return to the four or more miles a day walks. I miss those so much! But I also know that I have got to get to feeling better first.

Did I tell you ladies the only good news at the doc's last Friday was that my blood pressure has gone way down. I was excited.. even though the weight has gone back up and over... but the dr. said he was proud of me about the pop and walking.. told me to be patient.. ..

Well I am falling asleep at the computer so I will go to bed and post tomorrow (Saturday) personals after I have caught up and am awake.

I will even have to share later bout squishy and squeaky squirrel learning this week that God Will Provide..

Good morning buddies!!! Wow, the forum is already busy this morning! That is awesome!

Jennifer!!! So good to hear from you. So sorry about the mumps situation! Will be praying that all those babies of yours have been vaccinated as much as possible, according to their age. Praying there won't be a huge outbreak. Also, so sorry that the situation with your aide is not working out. I will be in prayer about that also. Normally a person would not let the job loss keep them from worship service, but when work and church are so closely tied, it is hard to tell. It will depend on how strong her faith is, and how close her walk with God. As always, I am so amazed at how busy your life is. I just admire your abilities to accomplish so much. Praising God about the blood pressure! It is amazing! The exercise is the key! Your dr. is right about being patient. You are so busy, I bet you don't get "enough" sleep. And so many studies are proving that too little sleep can hinder weight loss, big time. I bet if you get around to resting regularly, ever, the ball will start rolling. Wow, seems like I have so much to say to you! Miss your regular posts, but glad you take time when you can. Know you are loved, missed, and prayed for! Hugs buddy!

Jitters...I know what you mean about being so excited to find this forum. I had been posting off and on, on different threads, when I first found BCB. Somehow, I had overlooked the Christian forum for a long time. One day I noticed it, and was like WOW, lookie here! And I have been hooked ever since. What great buddies we have, and what encouragement.

Jess....what can I say but WOW, and PRAISE GOD. You are working the program, and God is blessing you with some great losses the last couple of weeks. Congratulations and good job! You deserve to pat yourself on the back! (I'd do it for you, even hug you, just can't reach you from here.... ). I hope you are feeling very good about yourself. I hope you are taking more time to rest. And, yes, if this tiredness doesn't end in another week or so, I would definitely get back to the doctor, and insist on further testing. Try to get into the habit of a good vitamin. I tend to not tolerate a multi-vitamin very well. However, I do take a good B-complex which helps with my energy level, a lot! I also was going to suggest you make sure you are getting proteins, but since I have heard you check other people on that, I am sure that is already covered. Again, congrats on the great loss!

hazelnutjava....woohoo! praising God with you, for your breakthrough. So happy for you!

Well, I had a horribly lazy day yesterday. I believe I said before, that on Wednesday I pushed myself quite a bit. I didn't push myself at all yesterday. I just didn't have any energy to push with. I did make myself take my 30 minute walk(yippee, can do all 30 min @ once now, not several mini walks....praise God). But, I was completely washed out and exhausted afterwards. I did a lot of sleeping. It was the best quality sleep I have had since surgery. I am so thankful for that. It was good, sound, snoring, dreaming, sleep. Guess I needed it. But, I am sore all over today! Laid around too much! So, gonna try the middle ground today. Gonna do the dishes and light housework. When I tire, I will sit. I am so thankful for good solid, recuperative sleep! That sleeping only one or two hours is for the birds! I think, by the time I am able to go back to work, my sleep schedule is going to be soooooo messed up! I know I worry too much about being lazy. It was pounded into me by my father. But, I am sure that a little over three weeks into recovery from major back surgery, it is normal to need extra rest.

Well, gonna go. My precious quiet time with my Lord and Savior is awaiting. DH has left for work, and DS won't be up for a bit. Nows the time. I'll be praying for all of you! I'll be checking in off and on today.

    Hugs...

    Janet

Day 4 of my WW recommitment went well. I'm pretty excited. This is the most OP days I've strung together in a while. I've been too dizzy to exercise this past week, so hopefully I'll be able to start up again in the next couple of days.

This morning I'll be helping the Girl Scouts make some fleece blankets. Hopefully the girls will remember to bring along their scissors.

    Jitters-Welcome!

Jess-I'm glad your tests came back okay. Congrats on your great loss!

    Good morning again!

Jitters, I'm sorry to hear you have been struggling but it sounds like you are getting things under control! Good for you!

So MaFeatherlegs is Jennifer right? (Thanks Janet!) You sound SO TIRED! I pray you will be refreshed and find rest in Him.

Jess, great job on your loss and being so close to meeting your Thanksgiving challenge! I'm so happy for you!

Um, Janet... something tells me that you are far from lazy! LOL You are NOT lazy! Don't be so hard on yourself! You are right your body needs rest, you will find the right combination for yourself. You don't want to hurt yourself by doing too much, so be careful dear!

Weaver, on being 4 days OP! This is also my 4th day OP, so I rejoice with you! I will be watching you because it feels like we are running this race together.

    and blessing to all.

Hi Christian friends..... I have been following this group for quite awhile. It seems as though whenever I need a spiritual boost, I can find it here. I do post on another thread and enjoy my friends there -- they are super. But I also read some other threads off and on. When I read your posts, I find spiritual "meat" and such encouragement to one another. Your devotional thoughts speak to me. Just wanted to let you know that I check on you regularly and often am helped by your posts. Hugs to all of you....... Karen

CONGRATS JESS ON THE LOSS!!! YOU ARE ON A ROLL!!!!

Janet- You are far from lazy.. you are in recovery from back surgery. I was wondering how swimming would help you. When my dad had back surgery part of his rehab was aquatherapy at the Y.. but then I don't think you have an indoor swimming pool.. hmmmm just a thought.

Just so you know you are 100% right.. I am only averaging 5-6 hours of sleep a night during the week. If I am lucky. And I think your supposed to get 8 a night right? *Sigh* So if I can get more sleep I wonder if the weight loss would begin again?

Phyllis- your day sounds really good. Have a wonderful lunch today with your coworkers! Football games are so much fun. One of my brothers got World Series tix's and the other two are not liking being in Maine away from their beloved Rockies at this time!

Nice to see so many newbies!!! WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME.

Well I am going to go climb into bed with my laptop and get as much schoolwork as possible done and out of the way. Plus I think some much needed rest...

    Blessings to everyone!!

Jennifer....swimming would be GREAT for my back. But at this point in time, I am unable to immerse myself in water. I can shower of course, but no tub baths or swimming, until final release from the doctor.

I hope you get lots of work accomplished, and a couple of naps to boot. Hang in there buddy!

Heads up Jennifer, you hit it on the head. Sleep and your metabolism are connected! If you research or Google metabolism, weight loss and energy...you will see that getting sleep is an important part of weight loss. I did it some years ago and recall seeing something about sleep being connected to weight loss and metabolism. I'm going to see if I can find a link that will confirm this... I can't help myself. Now I have to confirm it!

Here you go ladies! These are just a few. I don't like to give just one source though because if it is only one source it is not as believable. There are more but that would have been overkill.

Hello everyone...it's been fairly busy in here for a Saturday. It has beena great OP day. Although I wish I had taken my food companion to work with me. I now only have 3 points available to me for dinner, and I plan on having an extremely low point, veggie filled dinner. I'm thinking about 3 oz of chicken, and a ton of broccoli, or a broccoli/green bean mix, or something like that. There's no doubt in my mind that I'll be using WPA's today, which is fine, that's why I changed my WI day from Thurs. to Saturday, because the weekends are when I usually use the most of my WPA's. I'll probably end up using a good portion of them on Mondays now because I have to go back to working 3rds one or 2 days a week.

I went to the store right after work, and picked up a bunch of great OP stuff. I bought mahimahi, for the nights that Dan and the kiddos want to have steak. I don't really care for that kind of stuff anymore. I have plenty of f/v's and I bought some new chips for me to snack on that are low points. So I'm all set to have a great OP week this week!!!!!

I can't really stop to do personals right now, but I do want to say, I'm thinking of all of you, and I'll try to come back later to do personals.

    Hi Dear Buddies!

Busy BUSY day and as I type DH and I are watching SC and TN play football - Wondering if any of you are watching this game... I'm not a big football fan, but this one is supposed to be a key game in Phillip Fulmer's career (but DH loves football so we have games on all week!)

Hazlenutjava - Laura - Hi from one night owl to another. Sometimes I think if I go to bed I'll miss something . Thank you for joining in so beautifully with us and for your prayers.... and it sounds as if you are on a ROLL this week. Good for you, keep it up! I'll have to check out those links - I've heard that over and again, but have never read about it. Thanks for sharing the info. You are a real trooper!

Jitters 158 - WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME! So glad you're joining us - isn't this the neatest place???!!! God moves in and among all of us and I'm so glad you've decided to become a part. Consider this a big ((())) hug!

Janet, Janet Janet - REST... and rest some more! And rest again.... and do NOT feel guilty, girlfriend! You deserve this but more importantly your body NEEDS this. Don't push. When did you say you go back to work? I can't remember.

Weaver... I could turn cartwheels for you. Today as DH and I were all over the landscape buying supplies for this never ending remodeling project, I took my laptop so I could work in the car - just a quiet opportunity to work - the scripture I worked in was God's strength being made perfect in our weakness - remember that one? I did a double-take when I looked in my outlines and saw that scripture and immediately prayed for you again. I don't understand what "perfect strength" is, but I think it must be the kind that gets you through 4 OP days in a row! Praise God! I'm pulling for you.

Jennifer... It sounds as if your platter is FULL. And stress at work doesn't help. Please take care of yourself. I'm praying that the situation with the gal at work will not stress you out any further than it already has. God knows it all (and is in control)... If someone is now gone who did not need to be with these children to begin with GOD has worked it out for your good and for her good (if she is a believer)... I hope you were able to rest today and get caught up on your school work - THAT will help tremendously. Just think - not too many months until you graduate from college and we are ALL going to celebrate with you, girl! Love you -

Phyllis - It's so good to check in and find a post from you!!! And I'm going to pretend you're standing right here in front of these gas logs and I'm telling you to NOT worry about that weigh-in, tomorrow is a new day and a new week begins. And you are repeating those words back to ME because this week has been a little off.... and we're going to pray for one another on the spot and turn our hearts toward an OP week this next week! Hugs - I love you my friend! Hope you enjoyed your time with your co-workers today!

Dear Debra - THANK YOU for that scripture. I needed to read that.

    Karenkt - What sweet words and affirmations to all of us! Please run by .. or stop and stay awhile ANY time. Our arms are open to greet you in His name- in fact, here's a hug.. ******** }}}}

JESS JESS JESS!!! You are my new "hero"!!! I am so excited over this weight loss my mouth is hanging open! You are doing INCREDIBLY well and I have hope for myself when I read about your successes. Wow! WOW! How are you feeling tonight?

Gail - You're probably wiped out from that yard sale, and getting ready for Sunday School and worship tomorrow. Get some good rest dear friend and I hope we'll hear from you soon.

Jessica - I hope everything is ok with you dear friend. Have a wonderful Sunday tomorrow as we sing His praises together in different states! Love and warm hugs (it's cold here tonight!)

OK.... Gotta get into my "Saturday night routine"... Will talk with you on Monday! Love and hugs,

Jess, if you ever find yourself in that pinch again at work...if you have access to the web, you can look up points on a website called Dotti's Weight Loss Zone. www.dwlz.com But of course the important thing is you made it! Another day OP and that is the prize! (Applause)

Jennifer, there is just something about you. The way you see things and speak so deeply about each person's situation. It is obvious from the tender way you talk to each person, you have a great big loving heart! That is one part of you that we don't want you to downsize! You think of everyone else, so don't forget to take care of you.

Yes, I'm a night owl too, but not by choice most of the time. I'm hoping to change that! I feel pretty tired now so I think I am going to finish my water, take my medicine, get into my fuzzy cloud PJ's and go to bed. Ah, that sounds good! As we have learned, sleep is a very important ingredient to weight loss.

    See you all tomorrow!
