Thread: COCOMOTION Creations: Share Your Recipes!

  1. Default Re: COCOMOTION Creations: Share Your Recipes!

DH and I went out looking again for this. We came across the CocoLatte machine in Bed, Bath & Beyond. Is this anything like the Cocomotion???

I had everyone and their brother looking for this Cocomotion Machine. Nowhere to be found! So I finally went out to purchase the above - Cocoa~Latte for $24.00. I have not yet had time to try it, but I am thinking tonight after dinner I will. Thanks for all the recipes, I hope I have made a wise purchase!!

Well, the lid looks the same. And it looks like it has a "start" and "stop" button.

The Cocomotion just pours out the rop, rather than through a spigot.

You'll have to let us know what you think~ It looks great! :bcbsalute

Question Re: COCOMOTION Creations: Share Your Recipes!

Is there more than one kind of COCOMOTION Machine that you guys use? I saw one at WalMart.com and then went to amazon.com. Amazon showed there are several models. What do you all recommend?

OMG .. i can't believe i didn't THINK of that. i am an iced coffee lover!! My DH put the machine away when we moved our new refrig in ... i'm going to dig it back out and try that soon!! Another "hint" i heard re: iced coffee .. when you're done brewing a regular pot of coffee and have "left overs", just fill up your ice cube tray with them - voilla!! iced coffee cubes! .. then your iced coffee isn't diluted!!

Has anyone tried making a drink using plain soy milk?

Everyone keeps talking about foam. I don't drink coffee but I would love to buy one of these for core hot cocoa. What difference does the foam make in cocoa drinks?

    Thanks!

I heard alot of good things about the cocomotion, and upon inquiring about my sister-in-laws, she informed me she never used it. So, I inherited hers-yeah me!

I just checked again and it is a coco latte machine like pictured above!

I made hot choco in it, and it was really good, with one exception-this thing was REALLY hard to clean. I put soap and water into the container and let it go, but even though the sides were easy enough to clean, the bottom had stuck on cocoa that was tough to clean off. The next time I used it, I tried to spray the bottom lightly with non-stick spray just to see if that would help, but no such luck.
Does anyone have any tips for cleaning it out? I would love to continue to use it, but clean up is exhausting! Please help!!

I'm sure it would work out fine...it just doesn't "froth".

I haven't had any trouble cleaning mine... You just have to be careful of the cord, keeping it out of the way. But did you clean it immediately? That's the key.

I just wipe the bottom with a paper towel and rinse and dry. Maybe add your cocoa after it starts "stirring" (through the lid)?...But I think if you clean it BEFORE you drink-your-drink you'll have an easier time of it.

I simply put a dab of dish soap and a touch of baking soda with some water in mine and run it through a cycle.... then rinse it out after.... works great!

I probably should add that you don't fill it full! Fill it a quater of the way with water and just a drop of soap is ALL you need!!!! Trust me on that one

I poured the drinks then immediately put soap and water in the container and let it cycle, but the cocoa was still stuck on the bottom. I will try to start it fist, then add the cocoa. Thanks for all the suggestions!! I will try the baking soda next time too!!

After reading the many posts about the Cocomotion I just had to have one. WOW!! We love it!! Kids can have their hot cocoa and I can have a great mocha cappuccino. My latest experiment is Hood brand calorie countdown chocolate milk (2 points per cup), add a splash of SF Divinci Vanilla or Hazelnut syrup and 2 teaspoons of instant coffee crystals. Foamy and delicious!!
    Keep those recipes coming. Thanks

Safeway. In the coffee section. Winco has Torani brand.

At a coffee shop; they might sell you a bottle of theirs.

    TJMaxx and Marshalls, I think

I can find the WHOLE selection, and CHEAP ($3-something a big bottle) at Cash and Carry (there's another store like this, with three different words...can't remember).

    Lastly, try the DaVinci website.
