Yeah, I wasn't used to how HOT the drink is. I poured my drink in a travel mug, first sip at stop sign yowchie mama. Now I know.

Oh I made swiss miss sf/ff hot cocoa with 1/2 C ff milk and water, tsp instant coffee. Pretty good, I've having it now. As much foam as if I made in microwave

I tried the "steamed milk" with some SF Davinci syrup ~ and it was fantastic! That is my new favorite nighttime "snack"! I am going to add some cinnamon tomorrow, too. YUM! And, TONS of foam!

It's a machine (around $15, more or less) that makes foamy coffee or milk or cocoa or tea drinks!

I like it better than my more expensive, more difficult to clean FrothAuLait.

People are finding them at Wal-Mart, Big Lots, and other places. There's a thread on the Core Forum, all about them~

People are using them instead of going to Starbuck's for a latte or mocha or Chai drink...and saving $$ of course! :bcbsalute

Thanks everyone. I made a whole list of your experiments and solutions to try. Can't wait for my Cocomotion to get here so I can get started.

I had a couple of questions, tho.

Some of you mentioned using DV chocolate syrup. Is that like the other flavors or were you referring to the kind of syrup trraditionally put on ice cream sundaes? I believe DV has that in SF.

Anyone tried soy milk? That's what I generally drink.

    Thanks.

I'm "guessing" people mean the DV SF "Chocolate" flavor that is Core. I'm guessing the other (chocolate sauce?) isn't...

You're not going to get a huge "chocolate hit" that way...but DV SF Chocolate + 1 TBS. of unsweetened cocoa powder (0 WAP) oughta' do it! :bcbsalute

DS was home for the week-end and LOVES my MOCHAS!

    1 C. FF milk
    1 TBS. coffee concentrate
1 TBS. sweetened cocoa mix (for him...not CORE! Count the WAPs.)

Use Cocomotion machine. Pour into big glass cup. Top with dollop of Redi-Whip (can be 0 WAPs, if not too much~ But DS, 24, likes too much~ ).

    CORE MOCHA:

    1 C. FF milk
    1 TBS. coffee concentrate
    1 TBS. unsweetened cocoa powder
A squirt of DV SF Chocolate (liquid), comparable amount of fructose or Splenda packet (or less, depending upon tastebuds)

Top with 0-WAP dollop of Redi-Whip Light.

I've been making a mocha similar to that, Carol. We often have leftover coffee from the early morning so instead of throwing it out, I save it for later in the day and throw it in the cocomotion with milk, Splenda and cocoa powder. It tastes better than anything at Starbucks to me, and cheaper too!

Question Re: COCOMOTION Creations: Share Your Recipes!

Have you tried it with your organic dried milk yet, Paris?............

I was wondering how that might work with everything else~

But I'm also really happy with the way things are, so I haven't been moved to "experiment"! :bcbsalute

Thanks for the input, Carol. I hadn't thought of the "sauce" not being core. =>

    Hi everybuddie,

Wooo hoooo. Let the fun begin. I got my Cocomotion in the mail today!

Since it did not come with a box or instructions, I just added the ingredients and turned it on. It seemed to go forever (not that I timed it), so I eventually turned if off. About how long is it supposed to run?

For my first experiment I used Dardee's basic Latte recipe (thank you, Dardee). I used light soy milk. It produced a little foam. I added a couple of packets of sweetner. I wasn't sure if a "splash" was about the same as a squirt of Da Vinci. Next time, I would use more coffee and more Da Vinci.

    Dardee’s Latte
    1 cup water
    2 cups ff milk
    3 teaspoons instant decaf coffee
2 splashes of davinici sugar free vanilla syrup
1 splash of davinci sugar free simple sugar syrup
just turn on the machine.....when it shuts off, you have 2 servings of a great vanilla sugar free latte. you will get a large amount of foam to scoop on to the top.

    I think it's 10 minutes if you're making a large 4-servings recipe.

I've only been making one drink at a time, and I notice a variation in the time it takes (not watching a clock...just the way it "feels" to me...). Sometimes it seems to take a lot longer. Maybe it's the temperature of the starting ingredients?

But now that I know time-is-an-issue, I'll pay attention for you, Diane! :bcbsalute

And, yes. I consider one "squirt" = one "pump".

I think the time depends on the temperatue of the liquid. When I start from scratch with cold it takes longer than when I put in hot coffee. Hope this helps.

Cheryl: Try this and see what you think!

    My NEW FAVORITE Cocoa:

    1 cup FF milk
    1 TBS. unsweetened cocoa powder
1 TBS. sugar [1] or Core fructose or other artificial sweetener
    1 TBS. dried egg whites

This made a very frothy cocoa with a wonderful texture. It stayed "hot". And was much more filling than a regular "gulp it and it's gone" cocoa (without the egg whites).

I'm sure the dried egg white's protein makes it more satisfying~

I kept a spoon nearby and stirred it occasionally, so the foam was dispersed throughout the cocoa.

(P.S. Don't reheat it in the microwave; it did funny things last time-- because of the egg whites probably~) But it's very very hot, like Christine said, so reheating shouldn't be necessary~

MT....I live in Alabama but I also could not find one locally. I ordered mine from Wal-Mart online. I don't remember how much I paid but I know it was under $20 (and well worth every penny).
