Good Morning Ladies.
Not sure if we are going to have 2 dailys today, but someone else is in the 30's thread at this early hour. I hate that you can't see who it is anymore. LOL
So our little birthday party was nice yesterday. I must say the cake turned out great. My decorating wasn't up to bakery snuff, but the taste was great. It took every ounce of willpower last night not to go after a second piece. I kept saying to myself.......12 points 12 points. That really kept me away from it. I have Bill taking the leftover to work where it will be gone in a matter of seconds.
I wish Monday wasn't one of my early days at work. I was up late watching Desperate Housewives and Grey's Anatomy. Both were good last night. I was actually shocked at the end of GA. ON DH, I wonder if Mike is Zach's father?!?!?!?!
On tap today is my lovely 6 am day at work. I will be leaving at 3, that is for sure. Then I have my at work meeting this evening. At least I will have a break in the action though.
Well I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good Monday morning buddies, it happened again, the weekend is gone. Had a decent weekend, we had one of our supervisers give notice on Friday, the other one has already said he may be leaving by
August, so we have some things to figure out with the business. Owning you own business can be so fun sometimes. I haven't been posting much lately, kind of fell off the wagon, trying to climb back up this week. :bcbsalute
Jen: great job on the cake resistance. have a great day.
All my other buddies, have a great OP day and week.

Good morning all! Had fun at the bbq. Ran around the backyard with the kids and pushed them on swings and climed on the playstructure. Felt like a kid myself. What are the ap for playing hard, lol? Came home and started to watch Desperate Housewives, but I only got up to the part where the new family moved in and Edie was on the doorstep talking with the mom and the son came out and closed the door. Then I had to get little ones to bed and it ended up taking til after 9 to get Em settled down. Can someone give me the lowdown? I know it will be on in reruns this summer, but I can't wait that long, lol.
Today is work, work, and more work. Ah, Mondays. I must make a menu for the week and a shopping list this morning. I lent my Core Cookbook to a friend a couple weeks ago and she hasn't returned it, so I let myself get off track on that. I need to get it back to plan meals (dinners). I know that I can use the list of foods and plan from there, but I get more inspired when I am looking at the recipes for some reason.
Flowergirl: I'll give you a hand up to get back on the wagon. I admire people who own their own businesses. It's not always alot of fun. I work for my best friend in a small business and see firsthand what actually happens. A lot of our employees (college aged kids) think she can take off whenever she chooses and that the money that comes in is all hers to spend. Nevermind being on call 24/7 in case of problems or little things like bills and taxes. Hope you find dependable replacements.
Jen: Have a good day and a nice meeting tonight.
I'll try to get on later for some more hello's. Have a wonderful day everyone.

Hi Ladies,
I'm whizzing by this morning. I have to get Cory to school and then I have a client. Laundry on the agenda for later! I love my new freezer, with all that space I should go to Costco and stock up. I refuse to buy chicken at my local supermarket because twice this month, I had to return it because it was rotten...yuck. Mom and stepdad coming on Thursday, I cannot wait!!
Tonight I have orientation at Cory's new school next year. He is going to Pre-Middle school and I am not in the mood for this, but it must be done:sleep:
Have a great day!

Today is going to be a good day - Mondays are wonderful (though I am glad it is here after my weekend!) Ever have one of those mornings where about the only thing to do is will it to be a good day?!!
Vacation is coming up - so I can focus on that - I will get a couple days with my mom (no kids, no husband) to hang out and play and then a couple days at home in quiet to putz around and do "stuff" - like clean, sew, or bead - I keep telling my self - a few more days, a few more days, then I can destress, relax and breath.....
This is my last week of tutoring until the fall - so that will also be a load off, and I am trying to stay OP - only three weeks left until I am lifetime:)
Well - off to start my wonderful, fun, terrribly-great Monday with laundry (and being thankful for the people that create it!)

Hi buddies another Monday. I am going to try and get in my water today. The new stats say you should exercise 90 minutes 3 times a week. I am going to try an increase to an hour workout 4 times a week instead of shorter work out periods. Have a good one!
Jill: I have to get a new fridge. We are remodeling our kitchen. I love Costco but it is a red light store for me. I always leave with more than I planned.
CDV: Glad you had a good time at the bbq.
Jen: Glad your cake turned out great.
Kathy: Don't beat yourself up. No one is perfect thats for sure. I am 5 pounds over goal that I am trying to get off. We just have to keep working on it.
Chatmom: I hate Mondays! lol

Good Morning Buddies,
We are doing fairly well here so far. It is going to be a beautiful day and I am hoping to get outside quite a bit today. Maybe we can nap in the tent. That would be nice~ I would just have to make sure and take an alarm as not to be sleeping in the tent when all of the kids get out of school. Luke was only up once during the night and it was actually this morning around 4:30am for more "Pink Stuff". He is handling this so well and is such a trooper. The boys are all up now and watching Star Wars (of course) My oldest son Drew brought home several new action figures to share with his little brothers so they are all busy watching the movies and playing with the figurines.
I have a chirpractor today at 4pm for my shoulder. It actually feels quite a bit better. I am so tired this morning and nauseous(sp) as well. That is a good sign I guess. I can hardly wait until next Tuesday for my ultrasound to check for viability. I hate the waiting and wondering.
Jen~ Glad that the BDay party went well. It is so great to be able to send the extra good stuff with someone to get it out of the way. Great work keeping away from that second 12 point piece.
Chris~I lent my Crock Pot cookbook to a friend a couple months ago and still haven't got it back either. I am going to nicely ask one more time and then I will just have to stop by and get it. ;) Hate that.
Kathy~ Good Luck with finding good people to fill those positions. It is hard sometimes to find just the right ones, but I am sure that you will.
Chat~ I was just thanking the Lord yesterday and really all of last week for the people that give me that wonderful laundry job. I finished up for the time being yesterday and was able to hang some of it out on the line. It was mighty windy and everything dried very quickly. Smells good too!
Jilli~ There is just something about a well stocked freezer. Enjoy yours and I hope that everything works out today with all of your errands. Good to see you back on the exercise thread. ;)
Hello to all yet to come. ~ Have a great day all,
Wendy

Morning! Well, I am in for a quickie today. Have to leave early, DIDN'T GET TO CLOSE ON FRIDAY!! AAACCCKKK! The agent told me to be ready, we were closing at 4, so I took off at 11:00 just to get some last minute stuff done, and be ready to close. then at about 1:00 they call and say we have to reschedule for Monday! I was mad, but DH and I got to have a few hours to ourselves (which hasn't happened in I bet over a year!!!) so we ate lunch and did a little shopping, and just hung out. I hadn't realized how long it had been since we had been alone. I think I am going to ask for a baby sitter soon so we can do that again. So, I have to take off early again today, which is fine with me, I just don't want my boss to have a fit. :( And WI is today, and I always feel guilty leaving for lunch if I leave early.
We did get to swim yesterday, and I took the opportunity to swim laps. Talk about harder than I remember!! It was fun though.
Well, gotta run!! Cross your fingers that we actually do get to close!!!!!
Good morning. Quick one for me today. Just finished my exercise :), gotta jump in the shower and then get the girls up and off to school.
We had fun at DH's dinner last night. It was really cool watching my parents limiting food. My dad almost always has seconds, but not last night. He ate really slow and enjoyed only one plate. Same with my stepmom. Plus they had the oven "fried" chicken not deep fried. So proud of them!
Have a great day,
Gina

Happy Monday! It looks like everyone has laundry to do today, including me. It takes so long to do a load here. The "short" washing cycle takes 1 hour. The normal washing cycle take 1.5 hours. The dryers here are different, too. I think it takes around the same amount of time to dry. The real difference is the washer and dryers are so much smaller. I think I get 1/2 of a normal load I would have done in the States. On a good note, the washers are much more water efficient and the clothes get a lot cleaner.
We had a great weekend at the fountain festival and the Worldfest. I didn't eat anything at the fountain festival--I can get brats/sausages anytime. I did eat some great sushi at the Worldfest. Now I have a craving for it. I'm going to convince DH to go to the new Japanese/Korean restaurant and get some soon.
We leave on Wednesday for Disneyland Paris!!! I am so excited. The weather is supposed to be in the 80s and no rain. Yipee!
Ok, you have a great day!

Good morning all!!!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend. It always flies by.
I had a nice relaxing day yesterday. I made a rhubarb banana muffin recipe that I'd wanted to try, did some reading, played outside w/ the girls & watched the season finales on abc- LAZY & LOVELY day.
Today I have the normal house stuff planned & tonight is the last Bible study until the fall.
I need to get all my flowers watered today. I found the cutest vine at Wal-Mart. It's called a Cany Corn plant & it has little orange bulb-flowers. I planted it by my one lamppost out front & hope it does well.
Girls are playing nicely for the moment. We think Erica has allergies- poor kid has been miserable lately.
Best news of the day is I weighed-in this a.m. & I'm down 6.5!!!! This is post TOM & it was a really bad one, so about half of that was bloat I think.
Back later for replies....

Back again-
Jen- I was wondering the same thing during DH! GA was a good one too.
Wendy- ugh about the chicken pox! Glad he's handling it so well.
Angela- gl w/ the house today!
Jilli- LOL about Cory's voice changing comment. I instantly thought of Peter on the Brady Bunch, remember that one? Erica is doing so much better w/ the talking. I'm really hoping I can get her in to speech in the fall though as she still struggles so much. Her latest obsession is 24 piece boxed puzzles. She has several & she does them repeatedly throughout the day.
Barb- Unicycle?! Tell DH no ER visits this summer. How's the cantina?
Chris/cdv- sounds like you had a fun day yesterday! I bought Taylor one of those skip-it toys that you put on your ankle & then skip over. I have a ball doing it!
Better get moving....Happy OP Mondays to all!!!!!

Good Morning everybody,
This is my first time posting in her for a very long time. But I figured I"d just jump in and say hello. I had a pretty good weekend...my son had friends over or went to a friends house for some of the time so I had a nice, restful weekend. My niece had her first recital Saturday night...it is so cute to watch 4 year olds do pre-ballet in their cute costumes. She's following in my footsteps. *smile*
The boyfriend was gone all weekend so I went out Saturday night after the recital with a few friends to do Karoake....haven't done that in a while. IT was a good time...only had one drink so I stayed OP. Yipee!! I"m not a big drinker anyway. But it was fun and we had a lot of laughs.
I'm very excited today...it was my first WI since I started back on WW and i'm down 6lbs. :headover:
I finally graduated and i'm a certified/licensed elementary school teacher as of last saturday, so I"m not working right now and i'm looking for a good teaching job for the fall and some tutoring opportunities during the summer to make some extra money.
I"m off to start sending out resumes. Wish me luck!
Chris: sorry to hear about your migraine...i get them all the time and don't wish them on my worst enemy. YUCK!!!
Jen: Congrats on the yummy cake and only having one piece. Cake isn't my weakness, it's chips! I can usually pass up cake no problem. But don't give me a bag of doritoes or I'll eat the whole bag.
Well I hope you all have a great day!!!
MElissa
Just a flyby for me today! I need to get some work done and then helping out at the bookfair at Chy's school. I just came to report we had more Wild life this morning! 6 baby possums! Cute! DH chucked them over the wall so the cat wouldn't get them! They are gone already so maybe their momma picked them up and left! I hope! I feel like Animal planet here! LOL!
Anyway happy monday to all!
Bluff~ that's what I told him! Unicycle boy! The cantina is waiting for a party! Whoooyyyyyy!!!!!
Ok need to type!

Hey guys...had a busy night last night with the state park potluck and then rushing home for housewives and greys' anantomy, they both left good cliff hangers and now I can't wait for Fall!
Not much on tap today, a little house cleaning, a walk this afternoon, it can't decide if it's going to rain all day or not, at least my garden is getting nice and wet. I have a ton of Wisteria growing on the fence behind the house and I'm just sitting here watching the Baltimore Orioles fly around in there, they are so pretty and bright orange.
Mike is watching the kids on Wed. and I am going to the mainland all by myself! His cousin is graduating high school next weekend and we are getting her a digital camera, so I am going to shop around for one, and I think I will be purchasing an MP3 player with my saved birthday money, Ive been researching them all morning, I found a great web site that rates things like that, it's www.cnet.com (http://www.cnet.com) I think that's the right address.
Melissa...welcome back, congrats on your graduation!
Bluff...hey you, how are ya?
Chris...so sorry about the migraine, they suck, 'nuff said!
Smash...Have fun at Disney in Paris, how cool!
GinaH...If I can't walk today due to rain, I'm putting in my old Richard in honor of you!
Gina...talked to my dad today and gave him a WW pep talk, don't ya love it! I think I need to take some of my own advice though!
Angela...sending you (((((closing vibes)))))!
Wendy...How are the poxs at your house? None of my kids have ever had it and have never been vaccinated, can you send some poxs germs this way to Ohio?
Stamps...I'm right with ya on the water today, I haven't been very good about it lately:ugh:
Chatmom...3 more weeks till Lifetime...how cool is that?!!!!
Jilli...Since I live on an island I have got freezers galore, an upright and a chest! They are great...I buy the flash frozen bags of chicken breast at GFS, but I'm sure they have the same thing at Costco, so much cheaper and better quality than the grocery store kind.
Chris...they never really said anything more about the new family on "DH", I forgot all about them until I read your post...I think it's not a mother and son, I think it's a husband and wife, just a thought!
Kathy...I admire youfor owning your own business, I have family that do and it's so much work!
Jen...the two finales were great last night, I just hope Zak doesn't shoot Mike or vice versa, and poor Meredith on "GA" I was so sad, but saw it coming! and I can't believe Rex died, what was your take on the new neighbors on "DH"? Oh I could just go on forever!
Hope you all are having a great Monday! The bathroom is calling me, got most of my water in already today:angel

Morning everyone from the land of sick children. I had to take Dev into urgent care yesterday for a strep culture. God I hate urgent care. I'm following up with our new doc tomorrow because the doctor there was AWFUL. She literally scraped the back of his swollen 6 year old throat with a tongue depressor- did NOT do a rapid strep and said, yeah, looks swollen, I'll give him antibiotics...I wanted to smack her but I was too busy comforting my crying, gagging child. Never going back to that place again. We're 0 for 2 on quality of care and bedside manner.
So, the sick boy is still home. This is day 4 of the fever, which has me a bit uncomfortable, but I know it's responding to advil, so the doc won't do anything.
I haven't worked out since Thursday, as I started fighting it myself, and I have won. Dh is coming home at 3 today so I can go run at the gym for awhile. Don't want to lose momentum.
We took a beautiful drive up into the mountains yesterday, up to Canyon Lake. Wow. The northeast has mountains, but nothing like this. It was gorgeous.
Angela-did you find any jeans? Sorry about the closing, what a pain in the booty.
Nik-I LOVE MY MP3 PLAYER. I have an RCA Lyra, but they've changed it since I got it and it's not rated as high. I have a friend who has this one (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0003NGSQY/qid=1116865562/sr=1-2/ref=sr_1_2/103-2305972-3631839?v=glance&s=electronics) and loves it-pretty spendy though. I got DH this one (http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:SanDisk%20SDCZ4-000-A15%20MP3%20Player:1991554470;_ylt=AkwC0HA7xqHGkYV Gvh3.7yZJj3UC;_ylu=X3oDMTBubm5yYmJvBF9zAzU3NjkwMzY wBGx0AzQEc2VjA3Ny?clink=dmss//ctx=sc:cpersonal_mp3_player,c:cpersonal_mp3_player ,mid:59,pid:1991554470,pdid:59,pos:5) for christmas. He loves it. It's pretty highly rated. You have to get the micro cruzer flash drive (http://www.tapeandmedia.com/detail.asp?product_id=SDCZ4-256-A10) to stick inside it. What's cool about it is that the micro drives are fairly cheap, so you can have HOURS of music at your disposal if you choose. And just a note, I'm a tech geek, so take it for what it's worth, but I've NEVER used the music match software. I just copy my CD's to my computer through the realplayer music library which converts them to WMA files, and then copy and paste them directly onto the MP3 player. My biggest and most important piece of advice is to go for 128 mgs of more. 64 gives you about 40 minutes of music. I have a 64 and I had to add an extra 128 just to get me through a 3 mile run. Alot of players don't have an extra memory slot to allow you to add memory, so it's definitely worth the extra $$ to upgrade. Or you could just run faster I suppose :)
Wendy-take it easy around the pox girl. I'm sure with all those kids, you're immune, but your building a baby, makes you a little extra sensitive to stuff, as you well know. I'll never forget my conversation with our doctor about vaccinating for the pox. I said no, I'd rather he get it and get immunity that way...the doc said with it being a mandatory shot, chances were that Dev would not come into contact with it, so I should get the shot. I smiled and told him that we didn't hang out with the same crowd :). About a year later, it ripped through Dev's preschool, in which he was the only child who hadn't been vaccinated. EVERYONE got it-all those kids who got the shot. Some immunity huh? I hate that shot...and kids are going to have to get booster after booster after booster. I predict in 20 years we will see a much higher percentage of adults with varicella, which is bad.
Melissa-congrats on your graduation. I'm certified in elementary ed...might actually teach again someday. Right now, I'm enjoying unemployment. Good luck with the job hunt.
Gotta run, get some food in the sick child and perhaps surgically remove him from in front of the TV...or not. He's just so miserable with this.
Hope everyone has a great day!!
~Sue

Nikki - I got the same one Sue got for DH....LOVE IT!!! From one non-tecky to another its fabulous. I blew of costco..by the time I finished with my client is was near noon and thats the witchy hour there..I went over to stop n shop because they had the perdue on sale for 1.79 a pound, not too bad.
Sue - I hope Dev feels better. Streph is the root of all childhood evils in my opinion! Try to get a good workout in so you can decompress. I swear woman, I feel like a new woman working out again. Aside from enjoying my work again, I personally need the outlet for those endorphins.
Barb - How did DH catch them? Usually when you see the babies alone momma possum is in possum heaven. I had a baby I was taking care of for awhile at the old house. I still miss and worry about that little bugger, they are so darned cute.
Mel - Glad to have you back. I missed your sense of humor. Congrats on the 6 lbs loss thats the way to get things rolling!
Bluff - Thats GREAT that Erica does the puzzles. Its so good for their fine motor skills. I used to love puzzles when I was a kid, my Cory never had an interest although he loves putting things together with his knex and lego's. I was watching extreme makover from last night and if you saw it, my son would of freaked out and gone to heaven in that lego room! He's graduated to the tiny pieces finally lol.
Chris - Feel better buddy. It must be going around. My son suffers from migranes and cluster headaches. I got a call from school at 10 am to get my tush down there with his medication. Sending you healing vibes.
Wendy - OY on the pox. I hope he feels better and you take care darlin.
Sorry I can't say more hello's right now..I have to go get Cory from Drama Club.
Hugs, Jilli

I'm so mad right now my head is about to EXPLODE!! Got the call from REal Estate agent. "Take off work, your closing is at 4:00" she says! So I take off at 3:00, and by the time I get home to pick up DH, she calls again and says "Oops, we don't have all of the papers, it wil have to be tomorrow!!" So I take the 30 minute drive back to work, and now am ending up working late because of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the 2nd time this has happend! By the time I actually do get to close (hopefully tomorrow) I am going to rip this ladies head off when I see her!!
Sorry girls, had to vent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon buddies! I have been MIA this weekend as far as the daily post, but keeping up on the post and monthly challenge post.
It another lovely 100+ day today. Supposed to be 109 AGAIN today. Did I mention I hate Phoenix?
Just heard from the vet that our dog does not have Valley Fever, so that is good. Now just need to figure out how to treat his allergies. DS's last day of school is Thursday already. Hard to believe it!
It appears that I have developed quite a Jones for sushi rolls as of late! I have developed a $50 a weekend habit! Well, WE have. DH and I will go for sushi for lunch and before we know it we are down $50!!!! It is soooooo good though!!!!! I keep hoping the craving will get out of my system, but it hasn't wavered yet!! Suppose I can get them to make it with brown rice??? Wouldn't that be great!!??
Everyone have a great OP day!!!!
Jen - Kudos to you for not eating that second piece of cake!!! Totally love those 2 shows too! I hope Mike is NOT Zach's dad! Zach is pretty messed up, and creepy!!!! GA is just so funny!
Kathy - Not fun when key personnel quit! Hang in there...maybe something/someone good will come out of it.
Chris - Ooooo...I could not live without my core cookbook! I bet this is the last time you lend that out! :-)
Jilli - Oh I need an extra freezer so bad! Enjoy stocking yours up...I know I would!
Chat - Great job on maintaining your GW and only having 3 more weeks to go until lifetime!! Woo-Hoo....what will you do with that extra $48 (roughly) a month!!
Stamps - Have a great day!
Wendy - Glad to hear that you are feeling as you should!
Angela - Good luck with the house closing! Definitely get a new real estate agent for your next transaction!!! And good for you getting some time with DH! It's hard to come by, isn't it!?
Gina - Great job rubbing off on your parents!
dgjp - Have a great day!
Susan - Who knew that doing laundry there would be so different? Have fun at Disneyland Paris!!
Lori - rhubarb banana muffins.....yummy...Did they turn out? Awesome WI!!!!!!
Book - Feel better buddy!!! No fun at all!!!
Melissa - Congrats on your great WI, AND for graduating!!!! My DH graduated "later than normal" too. It was soo worth the sacrifices we made! Good luck in finding a job!!
Barb - Maybe you should just open up a petting, or at least, looking zoo!
Nik - I love reading your descriptions of your yard! I want to have your view!!!!
Sue - Canyon Lake is where DH proposed to me! If you ever get that chance, leave the kids with a sitter, and take the Dolly Steamboat sunset dinner cruise. Not sure if you are veggie or not, but if you are just tell them. They cook the food right on the boat and it is 2.5 hours of relaxation and beautiful scenery!!!! The boat goes way back in the canyon (the part you can't even see from the road) and by the time you reach the turn around point the sun is setting and they light candles and there is soft music playing...Highly recommended! Great anniversary night! They have a website.

Just a quick check-in, since I already posted my own personal "woe is me" thread....
Angela-- That stinks. It's really unprofessional to interrupt YOUR work day before she knows she's got her s**t together. You have a right to be irritated.
Wendy--It sounds funny to congratulate you on your nausea, but what the heck! Congrats!
DVNmama-- that sounds wretched. Poor Dev. Reading that made my eyes water. I hate urgent care places too. They just put antibiotics dispensers in the waiting room and let us skip a step.
Tanya--109? I don't care if the humidity is 0%, that sounds AWFUL! I don't blame you for hating it.
Nik--I love my MP3 too. I have a NexIIe that DH picked out for me. Fabulous for workouts. And you can change the little color faceplates, too. Wheee!
