Hello All-
I'm a wee bit early in starting the daily, but figured it was better than posting so late on Sunday's thread.
I survived vacation- it definitely had it's ups & downs to say the least. We did some major driving this time, so by the time it was all over I was much more sick of the car than the kids. At least they got to watch cartoons LOL.
I am going to hit the sack, but I'll be back in the a.m. Looking forward to catching up a bit w/ you all. Wishing you all a wonderful healthy & happy week ahead!!!!!!!
Oh, I added a new album to my much-neglected picturetrail. There are tons of recital pics & some cute ones of lil' sis too if you'd like to check it out. Caution: Taylor resembles a frilly cupcake in her costume LOL. Here's the link & then click on the recital/ spring '05 album www.picturetrail.com/bluffview

Hello everyone,
had a good time w/ DBF last nite. Gave him his presents(some cool Batman themed books) and we went out for dessert.
Will hopefully take him out next weekend for his b'day.
Due to change in plans. did'nt get my workout yesterday. icky this am, so will try strider for a little while before work.
Sue- those apples sounded yummy. will have to check around here to see if they have them
Christie- hope you're feeling better
Wendy- ick about the wedding. it's always a risk to have it outside, even though it's under a tent.
Jen- been having some major talks w/ DBF regarding the kids lately. we'll see what happens.
Bluff- will have to check out the pic trail in a bit.
Anyhow gotta get going and get some exercise in
Take care and have a great OP day

Monday morning already, I'm so not ready. Going to the art fair took quite a chunk out of my laundry time. And I didn't get everything that I wanted to get done done, but it should be an easy week kid activity-wise so I have my evenings to get things done. We took down Sophie's crib finally. She has been sleeping in her big girl bed for a few weeks now, but she loves her crib and was really counting on getting back in it someday. We gave it to a friend whose has new twins. They were sweating how they were going to afford another crib, so it's a good deed. Sophie took it very hard, but it helped a little to know that another baby needed it. I know it's for the best (she is 3.5), but it was hard that it broke her little heart to see it go. I finally did get some of these toys I'm always tripping over out of the living room and into her room, though.
Foot seems ok today. A little sore during the walk yesterday so I went about half the speed I usually do and not as far. I'm wondering if it could be my shoes that aggrevated it. I haven't worn the shoes I'm wondering about in the last few days and that is when it started to feel better. They are a pair that I go back and forth between trying to decide if they fit well or not. I guess if there is ever a time they don't feel good on your feet, that means they don't fit well.
Lizzy: Sorry the plans didn't work out last night, but hopefully they will next time. Take it easy.
Bluff: Your girls are absolutely adorable. Glad the vacation went well and you survived and are back. Have a great day.
Wendy: (((HUGS))) about the manboob watching what you eat for you. Some people, I swear! I hope he eases up and soon.
Have a great OP day everyone! I'm glad for the focus thread to get me the kick in the pants I need to journaly EVERY day, ALL day! I need to get a new weekly journal at my meeting this week, but have plenty of the handout ones until then.

Good morning all-
Hoping it clears up a bit here so I can get some yardwork done. I am way behind on it & I think it's going to rain again for a few days starting tomorrow.
I was glued to the Survivor finale last night- happy about the outcome. HOw about Coby!?!?! That had me bawling.
Taylor is chattering away- time to get her breakfast going. Back in a bit..
Baby- Erica will be 3 in Sept & Taylor will be 5 in Oct. Thanks for looking at the pics!!
Lizzy- Hope you have a great day!

Morning gals...pretty uneventful weekend, Mike layed low from his "procedure" and so did the rest of us...I did manage to get the garden planted yesterday, glad that is done with...watched Housewives and Greys Anatomy last night while switching back and forth to Survivor...My mystery rash from hell doesn't seem to be getting any better and now I have it some other areas...steroid cream not working:confused:
I'm going to start Bob Green and Oprah's 12 week boot camp today(the exercise portion, stay on Core for the eating portion) I think I'm finally up for exercise again, I have been seriously unfocused this week and need to get back on track in a bad way!
I'll be back later for personals, Cooper fell back asleep and I have to go make the most out of this extra time!
Nik
Mornin all. I had a great nights sleep! I swear I am still just worn out from the big shin-dig for Monica.
I got my exercise in this morning :). Doing CORE this week - I need help with afternoon snack ideas.... Any suggestions?
Got to get the girls up and at 'em.
Gina
BLUFF: Welcome back - sounds like you had fun (other than the car!) I LOVE your new photos! Man, the girls are growing up so fast!!

Hi Buddies,
This will be a driveby for me this morning. Luke has a field trip in about 30 minutes and I need to get him and Lydon ready not to mention my very slow moving self. We slept in...Drew got himself up and ready for school this morning, said good by and went on his way. I have my first appointment this afternoon at 2pm and lots to do in betweetn the field trip and the appointment.
I know who won Survivor, but will go back and watch how it all came down. I am happy with the outcome. Then I also have to watch Extreme Makeover and I am sure :sobbing: while on the treadmill and then DHW and Grey's Anatomy. I will probably not do all of them today, just save them for when I am on the treadmill.
I will be back later today.
Bluff~ Glad that you are home safely and I checked out your pix. Your little darlings are SO beautiful!!
Have a great day all,

Morning gals!! Well, I hope everyone had a great weekend!! I haven't had time yet to read everyones weekends, hopefully later there will be time.
Well, we had a ballgame on Saturday, the weather was so nice, then I went to get my hair done. I look "purty" now. :D Then Sunday we took Biscuit to get all of her years shots done. I figured out that little girl must be allergic to one of the shots, because last year when I took her, about an hour later, her eyes swelled shut. I was in a total panic, and took her to the emergency clinic, and they told me that she must have gotten bitten by a bug, and for me to just give her benadryl. Well, it happened this time too, but her eyes, jaws, hind legs, belly EVERYTHING was swollen. I gave her some more benadryl, and this morning it's down, but it is kind of freaky! I am wondering if I should be concerned. ???
Took a long bike ride with the kids and DH both days of the weekend, and it felt great! I notice when I do go out like that that i can stay up later without feeling completely beaten down. I"m excited to move so I can find some new paths to go. DH's dad came over on Sunday too, he has taken us up on our offer to stay in the guest house when we move, so that is good.
Today is WI, and I am pumped. I just know I am going to lose! And if I don't, I"m going to scream (and then be on my merry way) Back later for personals!!

Hey buds! I was MIA on the board this weekend. We have a holiday today so DH is off work.:D I was feeling icky yesterday. My backside became well aquainted with the toilet. I think that helped with my 1 kilo/2.2 pound weight loss this week. Just finished my run so not too much elso happening today. Hope you all have a great day!

Morning everyone. Hope y'all had a nice weekend. We had a lovely one. Yesterday afternoon I took DS to the community pool and we met 2 little boys and they're mom & dad who could be potential playmates. The older one looks to be about 10, and the younger one is 5, starting K in the fall. They swam together for awhile and mom and dad said, next time you're coming to the pool just swing by and get us, lol. And the older boy was cute, so polite when he said, I hope we get to see you again soon. Nice boys. Dev was sad when they left, and he confided that he doesn't have anyone to play with. He's been having some "home"sickness these past 2 weeks. I guess it's baby steps.
Had another loss this week. Woohoo. Finally breaking the plateau. I'm down to 165 though, which is my nemisis. I haven't been below it in over a year. Crossing my fingers and working hard.
Gotta get DS out the door for school and my slow dragging booty to the gym. I'll check in later.
Bluff-your babies are absolutely gorgeous. And how grown up they're getting. Wow, time just flies.

Hi everybuddy :bcbsalute
Monday, monday....and I really have to get some work done! I actually turned off my home computer on Friday night and didn't turn it back on until late last night. It felt so strange, not being online! I should have stayed logged in, though, as I had 2 parties to attend. The second had frozen margaritas....and I'll just shut up now. Kicks most welcome.
I feel like I have the activity part of WW down pat, but my journalling has been pretty much "in my head" only. I think I'll concentrate on that this week - sounds like I'll have company!
Have a great OP day everyone!

Ok, you guys...I'm back with an attitude adjustment and a renewed spirit...I went on the computer and made a calendar for the next 12 weeks mapping out Bob Greens bootcamp exercise program, printed it out and am ready to go...I don't know why it is, but I get to a certain weight, the 150's and I completely shut down and sabotage myself, I NEVER go lower than this, why is that? Any suggestions? As Dr. Phil would say, there must be some payoff to being this size, just don't know what it is...but I'm just so sick of it, I feel like I never put my whole heart into this, I just do enough to "get by" actually "skate by" would be more like it....Well, I'm just here to say "I've had enough, I don't want to barely skate by anymore" I don't want another fat summer, I want to be the best that my body can be...sorry, I just know Mike is tired of hearing it and I know you are all right here with me!
Here's to an awesome 12 weeks! Cheers...(with my glass of water!)

Congrats Andromeda!
My Sunday was pretty fun - went to Disneyland for a few hours. It was hot but not crowded - got some AP. Then I came home and took a nap!
This morning I went to the gym all ready to work out and when I got out of the car I realized that I had forgotten both my water and my workout towel. They couldn't sell me one as their register is closed in the early morning - so instead of treadmill + Weights, I only got in treadmill. Will have to adjust my workouts for the rest of the week... It's SO a Monday!
Have a great day!

Happy Monday Ladies! (Is that an oxymoron?)
After having dryer fixed twice on Friday, it started leaving little brown spots on our clothes! NICE! The repair place is not open on weekends, so had DH drag his work clothes over to my mom's so they would not get ruined (felt like we were in college again.) So dryer man is supposed to be back today. I have a feeling this is going to get ugly before it is all over. We'll see.
THEN, yesterday the dog starts trying to hack something up. Sounds like he has something stuck in his throat, but can't get it up. Awful sounds he is making. He is breathing OK, so we just start watching him. All night long he intermittently does this, so DH took him to the vet this AM. Vet says he has allergies, and he is doing something that is sort of like a reverse sneeze (????) He says humans can't do it. So he is on some steroids, and we will see what happens. Vet said this allergy can just come on quickly, and sort of come and go. NICE. Lori - any ideas or different view?
Lots of work to get done today, which is good, as I need to stay in the entire day as I am at the mercy of when the dryer man has time to come by.
Bluff - What beautiful girls you have!!! Such doll-babies!
Andromeda - Congrats! Hey, it's down....better than up!!!
Baybrat - good luck on your 12 week challenge. Let us know how it goes.
Angela - Sending you skinny vibes for WI!!!

Quick afternoon hello-
I need to get some laundry in here & get some quick cleaning done before the girls nap.
I got side-tracked this a.m. talking w/ a friend from church. We're working on a booth for the county fair & we both got real pumped-up sharing our ideas. Should be a fun project.
Forgot to menton that everyone in my house has a cold/virus except me- ugh.
Thanks to everyone for your comments about my girls. There's an old family pic on there as well. It's in the August '03 album.
Better scoot- hope to get back later. Hope everyone is having a wonderful OP day!!!!

Happy Monday everyone!
This morning was my WI and I gained back everything I lost last week. I'm really mad at myself about it, I know where I went wrong and I knew it at the time. Thank goodness we get a fresh chance every week! I got DH to print up a few copies of the exercise journal I used to use, so I'll put that up on the frig and get back into that too. I don't know why, but when I have those little boxes to fill in, and look at, I feel so much more motivated!
This weekend we went to visit my parents. When I say my "parents", I really mean my grandparents - they raised me from the age of 14 and I have no contact with my mum and dad, so as far as I'm concerned, they're mum and dad to me now. Anyway, we had a really nice time. They live in a beautiful little town. On Sunday morning they took me for a walk on this great path system they have called the Aerobic Corridor, it was amazing! The path goes on an old rail bed, that is now covered over in nice crushed stone and goes right through the woods for miles. Next time we go up there, I really want to take my bike and go farther than we could walk.
So, on to a new week...I have a lot of little errands to do in the evenings this week, hopefully DH will be enthusiastic enough to come along. I'm trying to catch up on a lot of little house projects that never got done last year. This weekend I got him to agree not to use chemicals on the dandelions on the lawn, thank goodness! I've been taking them out of the lawn myself by hand, and I don't mind doing it at all, and I'd so much rather be healthy than have a perfect lawn anyway. So we'll be doing some weeding tonight after supper, and if it rains, we'll go to Home Depot and get some project supplies.
Before I blabble you all to death, I'll get to a few replies and then sign off:
Sue ~ What a nice thing to have happen. I hope that you do end up becomin friends!
GinaH ~ I feel for you with your allergies. DH has them really bad right now and I feel so bad for him! He keeps waking up in the night unable to breathe. He's going to the dr. this afternoon to get a new inhaler.
Lori Bluff ~ Welcome back! You have a PM. :)
Happy OP Mondays to everyone else!

Good afternoon everybody! It's morning for me as I stayed up until about 5:15 doing you-know-what. I'm feeling the sleep deprivation, I'll tell ya. But I was able to turn in 30 pages to my advisor. Still not done, but turning in something felt better than nothing.
Turns out that just like WW, doing a you-know-what is a MARATHON not a SPRINT. Hindsight is 20-20. The next chapter will be done right, or as right as it can be, considering how much THIS chapter is cutting into my timeframe for the next one.
Today is WI, not sure what to expect--I've eaten much less than normal due to the food poisoning, which could work for or against me. And my tummy is still kind of... puffy looking and feeling as a result. We'll see.
Sounds like everyone and their dog has allergies. I do too--so I take a Sam's claritin every single night, need it or not. And when those fail me, I keep a supply of precious zyrtec on hand. Without prescription insurance, those suckers aren't cheap!
Lori/Bluff-- The princesses are adorable, but that recital outfit took the cake. She was precious! And I did check out your family album-- you should put up a more recent version of yourself, Miss Shy!
Tanya--Yeah, I'd definitely pursue that allergy issue with a phonecall to the vet! One of the main things about severe allergies is that each exposure can result in a bigger reaction-- If your eyelids swell up, it's not cute, but hey. If your THROAT swells shut, you've got a prob. Next year he may need to skip that shot or stay at the vet afterwards so they can monitor and control his reaction! Let's see what DVM Lori has to say about it! And regarding the dryer, I thought we were all supposed to hope it could die so you could get the awesome new one-- and it sort of sounds like your wish may come true, at least as far as the death part goes.

Hey buddies! Back again for a few minutes. I have been reading when I can. I can't wait to get graduation and final exams over so I can have some "Xan time" again. I have been making good choices and exercising... my "ex-wife" comes to town on Thursday for ds's graduation so I have been wanting to look my best! LOL
I have WI tonight and a friend and I are doing the meeting. Our regular leaders are going to be out of town and left the meeting to us! Good thing my friend has experience! LOL
I wish I could say that I willl get back here for personals, but that probably won't happen. This will be a very busy week! But, here's a couple of pressing ones: Tree, I haven't forgotten about PMing you. Doesn't look like this problem is going anywhere so I'll do it ASAP. Gina, I am so glad you are back! I have missed you! Glad the party went so well. All the buddies on BCB 30's board: Have a great day

Just read my post and saying "my ex-wife" sounds so stupid. I have to explain that I think: She is my husband's ex-wife but I constantly say my ex-wife to be funny because I am the only one she will talk to about the kids! Hope that explanation clarifies it! LOL
Man, I have been gone to long. I am losing it!:headover:
Hi buddies!
Well just got back from WI and I was up .8:mad: That's ok at least it wasn't a pound! He..he.. I know what happened and going to take steps to get that off this week!
Gina~ Hi buddy! I am doing core this week too and bought lots of veggies for my after noon snack! I also bought some ff cottage cheese to munch on!
Bluff~ Glad your home, I'm going to go to your album right now!

Tree - I am anxious to see what Lori has to say. I will take the dog to our regular vet (As he went to Doggie urgent care this A.M.) and follow up with her. Just what I need...more allergy issues in my house!!!!
Dryer man just left. After I showed him the brown spots on my clothes, he determined where it must be coming from. Some cloth-like seal around the hole of your dryer door. It is what the drum rests on, and sort of acts like a cushion/seal so that is is going round and round on something soft. He "cleaned" it and said that should do it. So we will see. I don't have a lot of confidence. Kind of scared to start washing clothes again.
So Tree, when you are all done dissertating will we have to call you Dr. Tree? :) And was it you that told me about the FF blue cheese dressing? I found it at wal-mart. Haven't tried it yet, but looking forward to doing so.
Back from a date with my dreadmill! LOL! I feel so much better that's out of the way today!
Tanya~ I recommended that blue cheese! Glad you found it, it's yummy! I hope you like it!
Ok gang off to start my dinner! (I know it's early but I want it to cook for a long time!) I'm making All Beef Champion Chili from the Turn Around cookbook!
Happy Monday to all!

Checking in post weigh-in! Down a very pleasing 2.6 pounds. I know it has more to do with the food poisoning than anything else, but hey, I'll TAKE IT!
Tanya--no, the FF blue cheese wasn't me, but let me know if it's good. I love regular blue cheese. I do have a bit of a hard time imagining how it can become fat free though.

It was Barb who recommended the FF Blue cheese.....and it is good! Like way better than I thought it would be. Of course, it is no gourmet restaurant full fat tasting blue cheese dressing, but I didn't expect it to be. I am soooo sick of vinaigrettes, that it will be really nice to eat a thick, creamy dressing for once and not feel guilty about it. At 2 tablespoons for 35 cal, 0 fat and 1 fiber.....it's only 1/2 a point! Or 4 tbsp for 1 point. Yummy! Thanks for recommending Barb! Oh Tree... it's by wishbone, and I found it at super Wal-Mart, and Barb says Albertsons.

Evening gals,
Not much going on here. Been busy at work but not too bad. I finally had to break down and get some new pants and jeans. I bought my first pair or Calvin Klein jeans in a size 16 and I bought a few other items. I have not been in a size 16 for a very long time so it feels great.
I have 20 days till my trip. I am a bit nervous about going to Europe and finding healthy choices. I am sure there is plenty but you never know. I am definitely bring two bags of granola since it is my staple, I can eat it with anything.
Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.
