Happy Mothers Day Ladies!

I am going to have to be quick. I have to leave in an hour to get up to the walk. I am excited to do this!!

Yesterday I went to a Kentucky Derby party at one of the Off Track Betting places here and had a great time with my friend Iris. I met a bunch of her friends and what a nice group they are. One of them is a breast cancer survivor.....she only had her masectomy 2 weeks ago! God Bless her because I know I would be a wreck and not out in public yet.

So on the betting of the race yesterday.....I didn't win anything...but my friend Iris put a $2 to win bet on that longshot that won! That was pretty cool.

OH well...I will be back in a bit for hello's. I want to start the exercise thread.

Hello everyone,
I'm ready for a bus tix to Las Vegas and hit the road this morning.
I guess only in my dreams. I have to deal w/ the brunch. :help: :crazy: :help:
Already had my toilet overflow this morning,so if that's the only bad thing that happens today I'll be happy. I just gotta keep in mind that we can't please everyone, but just don't tick any one off.

Happy Mothers Day everyone!

Well, we camped in the new camper last night, actually just us girls, we sent Mike and Cooper home (too hard with baby) slept great and had fun till I woke up at 3 with the worst sore throat, so I just came home to get some cough drops and aspirin, thought today would be better then yesterday, but not looking good. Had fun with the girls nontheless. We made smores and played some games, going back to make some eggs and bacon!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm getting dressed, the boys are taking me to breakfast and then I'm home to wait for the airconditioning man to come give us an estimate. I hate that I have to do this today...but he lives far away and I can't be picky since I'm not paying for this.

I got spoiled from the men, Jeff and Cory got me a day at the spa for mom's day. I am so excited to use this thing, they have all these neat stress relieving massages. facials, etc... I might get used to that kind of pampering. Jeff also got me a ton of karaoke cd's...he said I need to start singing again LOL. I guess this is his way of saying that I need to focus on being happy, maybe I've been a mope with all this sickness crap I've been dealing with.

JEN - I will be thinking of you today...have a successful walk darlin.

I got my workout in today already and awaiting a beautiful day outside!
We got three more pieces of privacy fence up and were sooooo tired, so hubby took me out for salad bar last night.....HE really wanted KFC, but knew that was not in my agenda......lol........so he said, "Will Pizza Hut Salad Bar" be OK?........lol........I had tons of points left for my day, and Lord knows I worked out enough yesterday, but still, I only ate salad and Iced tea! yeah!.....we had a nice time.

Today, we are going to Mother In Laws for cookout, and Im taking all point friendly foods! Im real excited cause yes, I know you are not supposed to step on the scale early, but I did this morning and I am down two more.......this puts me back into the 130's!!!!!!!!! (139).......I have been busting butt to get out of the 140's forever!......so I dont wanna screw today up and overeat......which is good, seeing that tomorrow is my weigh in day.......so this will be on my mind all day! lol

Hey, Nik, camping sounds great....we have a pull behind camper and LOVE it.........I live in Ossian, just ten min south of Fort wayne indiana so most of us are CAMPERS round these parts........lol........We havent taken it out in the last year though, because of our doggies........We already had two big dogs and a pomeranian, then last year I went and got Daisy, my golden/lab/chow mixxy pup......lol.......so between me, hubby, two teenage boys and four dogs, this may pose a problem.......esp. seeing that the dogs think they have to sleep with their heads on the pillow like the adults! lol.......they are my babies and I love them like my own kids.......but to go to the lake and camp, we are probably gonna have to get one of those fence type kennels, that fold down to take with us to pin them up. Man, the things we do for our furbabies! lol.......Hope you had a great time, and hope your sore throat feels better soon.....mine has finally left (three days here)......

Got up early (thank you Eddie and Annie) and little Eddie had left me a lovely mother's day present in his crate...how sweet :D . Oh well, the joys of furbaby puppies (or was that poopies??)...

Hope you all have a wonderful day. It's supposed to be nice, warm, and sunny here. My mom is still in florida and my birth mom isn't speaking to me right now (I sent her flowers anyway) so I have no commitments today! Gotta study, but think I'm moving to the porch for that since it's going to be so great.

Got my early morning walk in with all 3 critters. We're really starting to get this walking with 3 leashes down. Bubba Jr. is being a bit of a turd since we got back. The last few days when we've been walking he's "accidently" pee'd on one of the puppies. I thought it was because they love to be close to him and don't know to get out of the way when he lifts his big golden leg. Well today, that little stinker actually waited until Annie got right up underneath him and then lifted his leg. Then looked up at me with this big grin....talk about an underhanded display of dominance huh? The good news is that I hooked up my pedometer this morning for our walk and found out we've been walking 2 miles...that means with my morning and evening walks I've been doing 4 miles a day! That makes me very very happy :)

Andromeda - have a great cookout! Congrats on getting back into the 130's again. That's my goal too! I hear you on the furbabies! We've talked about going camping with our crew, but I think we'll wait until the babies are a bit more grown up.
Jilli - happy mother's day sweetie! What a great gift from the guys! Enjoy your day. You have mail.
Nik - I'll be over for the bacon and eggs in about 10 min after I shower. :p Have a fun mommie's day!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!

A fly by for me today - literally! I have to get my run in, have breakfast back in bed, then I have to be off to the airport by 11 for my flight. Major bummer!
But I wanted to make sure to wish all you mothers and daughters a happy mothers day!
Oh...no chance of sleeping in this morning.....DH's mother called at 6:15!!!!! She has no clue about time zones, and that eventhough it is 9 on the east coast, we are all still sleeping here on the west!!! Even had to wake up my son to come talk to her. Hated doing that, but what can you do??? We ought to buy her a clock to hang on her wall that is AZ time!!! Hey - that's a good idea!!

Hi Their buddies ! Happy Mothers Day! I am on the fly I have to exercise before its gets too hot. My husband bought me a cake from my favorite bakery and bought me a pendant with me and Marshae's pic on it. It is so cute! He made breakfast and bought me flowers and gave me a T-shirt with Marshae's pic on it. He has one more surprise I can't wait to see it. Have a good one!

Well I am back.

I'm glad that I did put my pedometer on.....I have already done 4.2 miles and 16,636 steps.....and it's only 11 am! That makes me happy. :)

It was a VERY nice walk. I met up with my friend and a bunch of her friends. A funny part of the walk......An ice cream company (turkey hill) was giving out little cups of ice cream on one leg of the walk, so I was busy talking and bypassed that stand...we wound up all getting seperated. So I call Iris on her cell and asked her "did you have to pull over for ice cream?" Sure enough she did. LOL So we gather back up and are talking points while we are walking....well then others around us start hearing us and it turned into a little weight watcher meeting during the walk. LOL

Bill and the kids aren't here......probably out getting me something for mothers day. I had originally told him I wanted an MP3 player, but changed that to something more practical for myself....I need a new fanny pack and saw one that has a bottle holder attached. I could use that so I don't lose my keys again while rollerblading. I could really used it this morning during this walk!

Lizzy- I hope you have a wonderful day today! I am sure the brunch will be a success!!!

Nik- Have a great time with the kids today. I hope they wait on you hand and foot.

Jilli- What a great gift the guys got you!!! ENJOY IT!!!!! I will try to call you tonight.

Good Morning All!

Jen, hope you have/had a great walk-- I tossed a little donation in the pot today, hope it wasn't too late!

I stayed up until 4 am dissertating, and I have to say, it's the way to go! You can get a loooot done in the middle of the night when there's nothing but infomercials on the tv and no one to chat with on the phone or online. I may repeat it tonight. And tomorrow night. Fortunately, since I'm not a real person and still live in the academic world with summers off, I can do these sorts of things. Unfortunately, those student loans are really adding up ;).

I'm still not over yesterday's idiotic bikini "before" picture debacle (see a late post in yesterday's thread)... I saw maaaaany lumps and rolls I didn't know I had, despite years of critically examining myself in mirrors. And realized that somehow my body had become my mother's, but with a slightly shorter torso (allowing for more rolls). I think I shall be ordering The Firm. The whole experience was really VERY motivating though... I almost think I'll have to do this everytime I gain a little weight! Talk about a reality check.

Funny side-story-- we went to Applebee's for dinner last night (I didn't want to go over my DP's yesterday due to bikini trauma and proximity to weigh-in) where I had my nice 5 pt. shrimp dinner. D**n them if they didn't put a big slice of BUTTERY GARLIC BREAD on my stupid plate! SO not supposed to be there. I took one look at it, prayed for strength and then dropped it on the semi-grungy table and wiped it around. Then flipped it over and wiped it around a little more. Not going in my mouth after that. Take that, you WW saboteurs! :rage:

Hello everyone,
managed to survive the brunch. some families were upset where they were put. But we don't have enough room in the dr for everyone. We put tables in all the side lounges. Hey its' a free meal( real good this yr)and you get to spend it w/ your loved one. Sigh. The administrator congratulated me. There were some bad apples,but it appeared most enjoyed it.
Alright that's my gripe. Tomorrow I participate in the talent contest. I'm lip synching to Big Spender. Really doing it for fun, don't expect a prize.
Also found something i was looking for a while on ebay and won the auction. I really need to check there more often.

Jen- glad the walk went well. I definitely want to do the walk for hunger here some time (20 mile)congrats to your new friend.

nik- how cool for the camping. don't think I'm ready to do the great outdoors just yet even w/ a camper.couldn't go to DBF's tonight, he also had a sore throat

Jilli- how cool about the spa gift--enjoy. I remember I won a gift cert to a spa and loved every min of it.

Andromeda- great job at Pizza hut.

LoriT- ugh about the Poopies.might take a calgon nite tonite since DBF is sick. Thinking of going to Foxwoods Casino on one of my days off. It's not vegas but it's close

Sumari- sounds like you had a great mother's day so far. hope the surprise is good.

Barb- I'm jealous about Cats. One of these days I'll see it.

Christie- I find I get a lot done in the middle of the nite. When I was having mind race the last couple of days. just got up and did stuff I normally wouldn't do.great job w/ the bread LOL

Hi gang,

I'm back from Florida! And I steped on teh scale tonight (I'm going to officially WI tomorrow morning) but I had maintained! I'm sooo happy!!! :) It was a little tough on holiday, but I did it! I carried a little notebook around with me and counted my points. A lot of walking helped! even if it was in the malls, i'm still walking eh?!

It's great to get back on here, but I feel as thought I've missed so much... It's weird to go away and come back when you're used to being online everyday! AND I'm off on another trip on Wednesday till next Tuesday!

I will keep up with my points... and will be online tomorrow and tuesday!
