Hi Buddies!! :wave:
If you eat more than the one cup of 0 point soup, let's say 4 cups, do you have to count points for it?
Lunch today was a point-disaster. When the menu said chicken burger, I stupidly assumed grilled chicken breast, but got a chopped "chicken" hockey puck that was deepfried, and the side salad (ordered instead of fries :angel ) came drenched in salad dressing. :ugh: I'm counting 13 points for lunch (3 for salad 10 for sandwich), but it's probably more. :eek:
To pull back from the brink of complete disaster, I made a big pot o' 0 point soup for dinner, which we'll all eat but rest of the family can have cheese and crackers with it.
Not that y'all care about the lunch crisis, but I wanted to explain the need for a looooooooooooow point dinner.

Hey Jeanette - You can always bounce back from a bad lunch! Fear not!
Regarding the 0 pt soup... eat up! Its all veggies so you can have as much as you'd like.

When it comes to veggies, zero is zero for me. I never got fat eating too many zucchini! :headover: :crazy:

Hi,
I have my own zero point soup question and I really hope someone can help me figure this one out. I made a big batch over the weekend (and it's yummy!) but I went and put corn in it. One can for 10 cups of water and a whole whack of other zero point veggies. Now I know that 1 cup of corn is 2 pts (or 1pt for 1/2 cup) but I never have 1/2 of corn in my bowl of soup... a few kernels at the most maybe... So can I still count this as a zero point soup (please say yes 'cause I've been eating this stuff like there is no tomorrow!)

Thanks, everyone!! I wound up having 1/2 a pot, and I was STILL 2 lbs up this morning! ARGGH!!! Tomorrow is official weigh-in day and I'm kissing my goal weight (need to lose 4.6, which in 3 weeks was do-able).
I had more soup for dinner- one of my lovely kiddies gave me their cold and all I want to eat now is soup.. and cheese.. and cookies.. and bread.. <sigh>
re: corn- I'm with Paris. :D

When you all say Zero Point soup...what exactly is it? My chicken broth has a point in it for what I use...but I'm not sure what else would constitute zero points with zero point veggies.
Whats the zero point soup exactly? Recipe appreciated!!! :)

I make mine with Fat Free Beef (or chicken) broth, canned tomatoes and tons of veggies (spinach, onions, mushrooms, garlic, celery, carrots) and salt, pepper and oregano.... just let it cook until the veggies are soft and enjoy! Zero points!

Copied from the WW site:
2 medium garlic clove(s), minced
1 medium onion(s), diced
2 medium carrot(s), diced
1 medium sweet red pepper(s), diced
1 medium stalk celery, diced
2 small zucchini, diced
2 cup green cabbage, shredded
2 cup Swiss chard, chopped
2 cup cauliflower, small florets
2 cup broccoli, small florets
2 tsp thyme, fresh, chopped
6 cup vegetable broth
2 Tbsp parsley, or chives, fresh, chopped
1/2 tsp table salt, or to taste
1/4 tsp black pepper, or to taste
2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice, optional
Instructions
Put garlic, vegetables, thyme and broth into a large soup pot. Cover and bring to a boil over high heat; reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes.
Stir in parsley or chives; season to taste with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Yields about 1 cup per serving.

I did a search of the BCB website and used 'Zero Point Soup' as a key word and I ended up with no less that 15 different recipes! Thanks to all who posted them!
