Hey Buddies
UP early today, have to get a start on things before my guests get up. This includes DH breakfast, working out, and hopefully laundry.
The kids had a GREAT time all day playing with new friends. I am not sure what our guests have in store for today. Should be interesting...
I had my first POP day yesterday in I don't know how long. Woke up at 3 am for a brief time, and DID NOT have to lay there almost in tears that another day went by and I totally screwed up. VERY nice feeling I will be going for again today. (Hopefully I won't have to wake up at 3 am tomorrow to appreciate it !!)

Have a great day, Buddies. Gotta go !!!

We have a busy day here with my working out of town for the morning, DD having to go and pick up high school registration papers, tutoring for DS, DD's visit with friends, and I have to buy some potato's! PLus DH let the oatmeal boil over and the stove top is a mess - yuck.

Gorgeous here - sunny and cool my favourite weather.

See you all later.

Quickie this morning! We're off in a bit to meet up with another family and walk through the park downtown to the market for lunch. I've got my eye on the Soup Kitchen where they'll certainly have some kind of bean & veggie soup! It will be at least 5 miles round-trip and we might continue on a bit to the park on the other side from where we're parking so we'll be gone for a few hours. I have to get to the bank this afternoon and Claire wants to go for a run (to get ready for cross-country season next month) so we'll get it all in there!

Have a great OP day everybuddy! :salut

Good morning,

I'm not feeling myself today. Very tired and my feet are bothering me. I did workout this morning and I have my day's menu planned out to to a T, so as to avoid temptation. "Off" days are triggers for me for sure, so I'm prepared.

My boss is out of the office today and the other person in our department is on vacation, so it's just me on this side of the office..... I'm kinda glad..... I'll get all the little things done.

Congrats Bridget on your OP day yesterday. I will be thinking of you today and encouraging you from afar and working to stay OP with you.

Soda - Hope your busy day is nice and productive. Enjoy your weather. We are forecasted to have lots of rain (70%). It was very foggy on the way to the gym at 6 this morning.

Kimberley - A walk through the park sounds delightful. Enjoy.

Have a great day everyone!!!!

Looks like a beautiful day here today, too. I'm hoping I get to swim around 10.:bcb_smile (After oatmeal and a long walk...)

I mentioned that I'm .1 pound away from goal now, Buddies. Boy did that make me feel good! :bcb_grin

AND I found my "lost" menu/recipes plan. WHEW. I had the ingredients, but I don't know how I would've mixed/and/matched them...:bcb_huh:

I made a lunch mixture yesterday that was delicious to me: sweet potato, tofu pate, hummus, raw carrots and salsa. :bcb_smile

That sweet potato was comfort food!

That's wonderful, Bridget, that you were able to be proud of your day. :salut I'll be waiting here with Soda, plunked-down to hear about your day. :bcb_smile

Make It WONDERFUL, B, S, K, and Barb and ALL those who follow ~

I have been feeling blah since coming down with a sinus infection but now think I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. My energy level is increasing although I still tire easily but getting better. My first cousin once removed (my DM and her are first cousins) who lives in Eastern WA is comging today for a short visit. She is in her 80's and she and I have exchanged family history. She will only be here for a few hours but I am really looking forward to visiting with her.

I went to the famers market yesterday and picked up something new to me. The farmers market called them pod beans but when doing a search nothing comes up that looks like them. I think they must go by another name. They are white with red streaks.

Wow you are all busy today!

My first day back yesterday did not go well! No one to blame but myself, we went out to dinner and that is still hard for me to handle. :bcb_kick: myself and on to a new day. So far so good today! Going out with girlfriends tonight also but it is a great restaurant for salads so that is the plan. These girlfriends really watch what they eat so I will model them!

Carol, so close! Good for you!

Judy, pod beans, how different. LEt us know what they are.
Barbara feel better!
Soda- your daughter is such a teenage girl. It is fun to read about.
Bridget- you are an inspiration, Soda is right, your report will help me!

Lynn- if you check in let me know where your DS decided to go to college. I remember you looking. We are in the process of looking for DS now, he is going into senior year and very undecided what he wants to do! DD was easier, had a plan.

Sue, I just happened to pop in here. DS is at Pitt. Dropped him off Tues/Wed....he's rooming with a good friend from high school. We are a big PSU family so Pitt took a little getting used to:bcb_wink3! But I actually bought a Pitt hoodie yesterday!:bcb_bigsm

So we are empty nesters now!:bcb_worry

Back at work, but not much to do here....

:buddysmoo to all my buddies! Make it a great day!

Lynn, funny about Pitt. My DD is at PSU! DS doesn't have great grades so will prob be at state school but is considering Penn State Abington and living at home. I was hoping to be empty nester though! Good luck to your DS!

Yeah, the empty nest is definitely not a BAD thing....I peeked in his room (at home) and it is a MESS....I think I need to clean BOTH boys' rooms....he has PLENTY of stuff left behind, enough to live with just this stuff!

Good luck in your search! Maybe he'll end up going away to a state school???

hi buddies!

Had a fab trip to Jamaica. This trip made me really appreciate my weight loss, as spending all day in a swim suit would not have been so much fun 30+ lbs back.

Boys went back to school today, a new school as the zones were changed. they have lots of friends at the new school from sports, and they are happy.

Now we just have to get back into our routines after the long summer break & our vacation.

Good afternoon everyone,

I hate to keep talking about the 5 bean soup I made the other night.... but.... Today I had it for lunch again and put hot sauce in it. It was soooo yummy.

Becky - I've been to JA twice. I loved it. Glad you enjoyed your swimsuit time!!!!

Sue and Lynn - Empty nest isn't so bad once you get used to it. In fact, I'm rather glad now. Shhh don't tell my DS I said that! LOL.

I really want DS to go away to college as I feel that they grow up alot when they go away. It is a transition period, independence with parents to fall back on! DH and I will have no trouble finding things to do.

Sue, I'm pretty biased toward that going away to school thing too! I am very excited for DS! I think he should have a great experience at Pitt. It is so different than PSU and the small liberal arts school (Denison) in a small town his big brother attended! I'm enjoying getting to know Pittsburgh! AND it's "only" 4 hours away--vs. Denison's 6!
