View Full Version : At The End Of The Day ~

Today was a good day, Buddies!

I got some great ideas I'm going to try this week.

First, mornings are going to be about exercise, and moving more, and cooking, and planning...and I'm going to come to BCB at the end of the day ~ :kiss:

I'm calling this "Carol And Her DH's LOVE And HEALTH Plan"! :bcb_grin (He's going to be a helpful resource for me this week.)

A.M. Took a 40-minute walk with DH and Ddog. Kept HR in the zone.

Took "chill pills". Drank tea. Prepared water/Cranberry Juice Light. Kept trying to move more! Noticed that when I was at the computer it was low, and not-in-the-zone. When I was drying my hair, I was in-the-zone! I was moving from foot-to-foot and really making it a WILD time! :bcb_happy

Before lunch: Made a small batch of roasted chickpeas with my homecooked garbanzos. Dee-licious. And had some Metamucil. (Can you say "FULL"?! :bcb_huh:)

Lunch: Homemade hummus, spinach, and 1/2 Amy's veggie burger

Snack: Sliced apple (and vitamins)

Dinner: 1/2 C. spelt, frozen stir-fry vegetables, 1/2 Amy's veggie burger and some homemade hummus

Met 8-Greats, except for dairy. Took a calcium pill. Will focus on that tomorrow.:salut [Edit: Realize that my lack of dairy probably resulted in less protein, i.e. grains+dairy or beans+ dairy= complete proteins...so I think I'll add-in a glass right now.]

Tomorrow I'll be up at 6:30 to get to Pilates, and I am going to add in more movement throughout the day ~ :bcb_smile I can see that is going to be KEY.

I'll be back tomorrow evening~ Hope I see you then! :wave: :bcb_grin And tomorrow I'll add Bob Greene's 10th step, which I think is my favorite~

I appreciate that you posted the portions.

I never thought of eating half of a veggie patty.

Sometimes it helps to see how others do it!

Doing this at the end of the day isn't really all that late for those of us on the West Coast.

The hard part about doing BCB late is the daily. If you are going to do personals, you might have to make 17-18 responses! It can get overwhelming.

It's really not late either. It's not even 6:30pm. It's just not early. On the East Coast it is late. No doubt about it!

Yeah, I liked the feel of this. Of course today I DID get on saying I wouldn't be on today...:bcb_up LOL.

At this point I need to be focused on creating the healthy habits I need to lose weight. :salut For now, the "fun" of reading and writing and responding has to move aside so I can use that energy to make some good habits.

It's like I lost my way during the move, or something~ :bcb_confu

(How long can I use that as an excuse?...:bcb_wink3)

Anyway. I'm putting a week into this to see if it helps me. :wave:

You're right, Donna! The night is YOUNG! :bcb_bigsm I think I'll have a cuppa' tea~

I should actually post at the end of the day too. Once I turn this blasted thing on I think I need to check it every 10 minutes....bcb, email, aim etc. Instead I could be doing a WATP tape while DS is napping and DD is at school. I could make sure my house is neat and picked up for the day. I could run on the treadmill...DH can come up from the office and listen for DS. Spend more time with my kids....I am a SAHM I spend time with them all day but every little bit counts. My kids are in bed no later than 8 so I think I will jump on after they go to bed and catch up on the day.

Count me in Carol for the night time check in....we could do a 'what we did today' thread. I am on the east coast but I stay up til 10 or 11 my time so I will catch the west coast buddies.

When I am not posting here it is usually because I am not going near the computer until the end of the day and then often I do not bother adding to the daily.

Question. Were you dancing when you were drying your hair? :bcb_bigsm

First I was stepping-side to side, then running in place, but when I started the dryer I was moving my head around and using my hands to fluff my hair~

Looked less like dancing...more like ants-in-my-pants! :bcb_grin LOL.
