View Full Version : Sweet Tooth!! Any Ideas??

So I have a HUGE sweet tooth!!! I hate it sooo much.
I can have the largest, most filling, delicious dinner and all I can think about afterward is what I can put in my mouth that's sweet.
I'm ok with just popping something small in my mouth, just to get the taste, instead of needing a whole Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich, or a whole 100 Calorie Pack.
Does anyone have any ideas for what I can use to pop in my mouth that's sweet and low in points? I used to use little Tootsie Rolls (the midget ones) and pop one only in my mouth after dinner, but I am soooo sick of those now LOL!

I love Dove dark chocolate. All I need in one piece. It really hits the spot. I also really like the Oreo Candy bites by Nabisco, they are worth the 2 points when I need a sweet treat.

Have you tried the WW 1 pt bars? There's a caramel one that sort of tastes like a Snickers bar (sans peanuts). One, with some water, hits the spot for me. And I LOVE chocolate.
Good luck.

You may not care for this suggestion, but I have found that the less sugar I eat, the less I crave it.

Hi! I have a treat that is very filling and satisfies nicely.
In a pretty bowl, cut up a pealed fresh peach, or 1/2 banana and some strawberries, or blueberries (whatever you have that's "core") and top with 1/2 - 1 cup of NF plain yogurt. Then top with a tsp or 2 of SF FF pancake syrup. This is delicious and a good way to get your milk in for the day. Try it- it's great!

Chocolate-covered Altoids are one of my favorites. 1 is enough and there aren't any points. I know there aren't supposed to be any point-free foods except for some fruits and veggies, but going by the ni on the package, it takes about 6 to equal 1 point!!
Tootsie Roll Pop.
1 point and it takes 15 minutes to eat (if you don't bite after 3 licks :bcb_bigsm)

Here's another vote for Dove chocolate. I like the healthy dark variety. It takes a while to melt in your mouth, and just perfect for after dinner!

Fruit, fruit, fruit!
I used to be exactly like you with sweets. After I started substituting fruit for sweet goodies, I started wanting fruit just as I had previously craved sweets. I know, I wouldn't have believed it, either, but it's true.
ALSO, between meals, when you crave a sweet, you can try a dill pickle instead. It is rather amazing how it takes away the craving.

How about an indulgent low point drink?
I love a nice cuppa hot tea.. sweetened with honey/splenda whatever you prefer. Add in some milk, OR if you want a fabulous treat steep the tea in 1/2 mug of hot water, then add 1/2c of hot milk! Delicious!
There are also some 1pt hot chocolate mixes that would do the job! Likely some great coffee concoctions.. but they make me gag.. .. lol.

When I first started WWs ages ago, I would make up the Cook And Serve SF/FF CHOCOLATE PUDDING, and have it waiting-in-the-fridge in portioned dessert bowls.
I ate it in little bites with a little spoon. :bcb_grin
I'm making some right now, to see if it still helps~ :salut:bcb_smile
It used to be a dairy serving, too. :salut
