just curious can the meat be frozen when you put it in the slow cooker would it take longer to cook?

im going to cook a chicken tommorow morning put it in the cooker at 6.00am i wont be home until 5-6pm would i cook this on low or on auto setting my auto setting says it will cook on high until the preset temperature is reached it then switches the element on and off to maintain a contstant temperature for 8-9 hours

will it matter if iam a few hours late lol or should i use the low setting all day?
