Thread: 26 points too much?

  1. Default 26 points too much?

I've been at Weight Watchers since September of 2013 (post baby) and I've lost 53 pounds and I feel great. However, I feel like I've been eating 26 points for about the last 20 pounds. How can I keep losing at the same number of points? I've tried to decrease the bonus points and use 3-4 a day but can't see a way to eat less than that.
My questions is, does 26 points ever become too much to continue to lose?

The powers that be in WW determined that you can safely lose at 26. How tall are you? Some women who are shorter let's say 5'-5'4 have a harder time losing and have been allowed to subtract a few points like three.

But first you want to be really certain you are actually eating 26. A few days of measuring seriously, weighing portions and tracking might garner you some success.

We all get to the point where we stop measuring and start eyeballing. That usually does not work for long before the portions slide up a bit.

Try measuring and weighing for a few days. Also tracking. Let's see what that does before you take away points. Also go easy on salt and make certain you're getting enough water. Also concentrate on the healthy habits.

Good luck. Check in again OK?

Thank you so much for your reply. I'm 5 foot 7 and weigh 143 pounds but I've been stuck at 143 for a couple weeks. I actually do weigh and measure everything everyday, but I do eat pretty similar day to day so maybe my body is used to that. I track very closely and drink 4L of water per day. Maybe I will recalculate my usuals and make sure the points haven't changed somehow. Just gets frustrating when I'm tracking away and the scale isn't moving. Thanks again!

Yes. Good idea. Re measure for a few days.
Wait. How low do you want to go? You are well within your healthy ranges for your height. Maybe your body is trying to tell you something. Remember you're not 22 any longer ( unless you actually are! ) things change. At your height your range is 128-160. Think about it.

I agree with Peggy. You are well within the healthy range. You might be surprised if you go on maintenance, it will kick start your body into losing again too.
