This is an absolutely awesome thread! I vote to make it a "Sticky" if the mods agree. There are some wonderful one-liners here that really make you think. I think they would benefit us all.

My new favorite is from another Buddy's website, and I hope she doesn't mind me posting it:

this is inspiring to me and so appropriate for my first post here at BCB. Thanks for sharing your passages - I've already clipped a few for the fridge. This is a great thread and from what I've seen BCB is a wonderful place for someone who has 1lb 70 times over to go. (That one really hit home! Thx firechick139)

One of my favorite lines came from Florine Mark, the former owner of the midwest WW franchises. She spoke at a meeting I was at and said:
This hand puts this food into this mouth.
In other words, your physical actions control. I always remember this when I try to blame my lack of success on something else.

Another quote along the same vein is, "Genetics loads the gun but environment pulls the trigger."
Things I'm Most Looking Forward To:
    No more back fat!
    More E-N-E-R-G-Y!
    Buying stylish, not oversized clothes
    Packing smaller clothes
Living long enough to see my grandchildren grow up
    Having a stable wardrobe
    Ability to handle cravings
    The END of binging!
    A healthier me!

We know a lot of weight loss success starts with attitude. Some of us, probaby lots of us, stress over something someone has said or done to us and we want to medicate ourselves with food so....

If im tempted I think to myslef if I love that more than my most favorite thing.
if there is a cookie thats tempting me Ill think, 'do I love that more than creme brulee?' No. "Do I love that more than coconut cake' no.
It works and the odds of me being in the same room as a creme brulee or coconut cake are low, so ....If I ever am , Ill have to think of a new mantra
